The story is about Varsha & Mohit and is set in Mumbai. Varsha is a young girl who works as a RJ at a radio station – 102.2 live radio. While, she is vibrant during her radio show and also with interaction with listeners but outside work she carries inhibitions on her complexion and appearance. The reason for having complex is because she was bullied in her childhood for being dark and not so good looking. She couldn’t overcome those taunts in her present grown-up age. Mohit is a young guy who is an avid listener of Varsha’s radio show and is in awe of her voice and show. There is a Bollywood quiz contest organized by Varsha on her show and Mohit manages to connect with her and gets a chance to participate in the quiz. He introduces himself and also opens-up on liking her voice and the show and goes on to call it as the stress-buster. Sooner then, it turns out that he has won the quiz and she informs him on going on a lunch date with him as he is the winner. He gets much excited to hear about it.
Varsha comes home after finishing her R.J work and shares her worries with her friend Neha on the prospect of going on a lunch date with the contest winner Mohit. She suggests on not being good looking and thus cannot pull off the meeting well. Neha motivates her by saying one day she will find a boy who is going to accept her as the person as she is. But Varsha still carrries nervousness and soon she gets an idea on sending Neha to meet Mohit, by taking her identity. Neha goes on to meet Mohit as Varsha and have an eventful date and has spent the day well. He couldn’t figure out why Varsha’s voice on the radio show and in person are different. In the evening, after the date he drops Neha to her home and Varsha gets bit jealous and uncomfortable to see them together.
Later, Neha informs Varsha that Mohit was only speaking about her, and also of the voice, and she thinks he is in awe and loves her much. However, Varsha carries the outlook that no one will like her and gets teary eyed. But her thoughts proved wrong as in the end Mohit recognizes the actual Varsha. He comes forward to meet her and calls her name giving her a surprise. What was the trigger which realize Mohit about the real Varsha ? Why Varsha didn’t come out of her complex though she had some reasons ? How Varsha accepted Mohit’s one of a kind and true love for her in the end ?
