Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Kartik and Naira’s ego clashes to build up

Kartik and Naira recall their meet in college. It gets painful for both of them to think of their past and love. Naira finds hard to forget Kartik. Kartik too deals with his past with much difficulty. Kartik decides to never visit Mumbai. Manish and Kirti talk about their plans to cancel Suwarna’s flight so that they can help Kartik. Suwarna gets to hear them. She feels they aren’t understanding her pain. Naira cries that Kartik didn’t wish to hear her clarification once and made her out of his life once again. She ruins the college ID card. She tells Naitik that she won’t attend the college now. Suwarna doesn’t want Manish and Kirti’s relation to get spoiled.

She tells Manish that she just wants Kartik and Kirti to be fine. She is happy that Kirti has come to her Maayka after two years. Manish realizes Suwarna didn’t hear the complete matter. Suwarna tells him that they will visit Kartik tomorrow. Suwarna asks Manish not to think as Kartik’s dad, not as Naira’s dad-in-law. Naksh apologizes to Kirti for hurting her feelings. Kirti tells him that she isn’t bothered because of him. They both admire each other and spend some quality moments. Kartik goes to the airport to return to Udaipur. He doesn’t get the flight. He misses the flight and gets into an argument with the attender. He gets helpless to stay back in Mumbai. Naira tells Naitik that she won’t go to college as she didn’t like the professor. Naitik doesn’t understand the reason for her sudden decision. He asks her to tell her the matter, he can talk to principal.

Naira doesn’t reveal about Kartik. Naira wants to avoid Kartik. He wants to do the same. Kartik and Naira reminisce their past. Their anger and annoyance keeps them away from sorting their differences. Kartik doesn’t wish to see Naira again. Naira wishes to meet Kartik once and explain him that she wasn’t responsible for Shubham’s death. She fails to reach him. She gets sad as Kartik came between her dreams again. Kartik feels Naira has changed a lot, she doesn’t care for him at all. She thinks Kartik has moved on in life, while Kartik feels she has moved on without thinking about him. He feels Naira doesn’t need him any more, she will never come back. Naira regrets that Kartik never called her back in his life.

Naksh and Kirti go for a long drive. They spend some romantic moments and enjoy the weather. Naksh thanks her for always supporting her. He feels Kirti understands him the best. Kirti wishes Naksh too understands her and helps her unite Kartik and Naira. Naira cries recollecting Kartik’s memories. She feels he has been unjust towards her. Naira and Kartik re-meet at the college. Their egos clash. They decide not to leave the college just because the other person is getting hurt.
