Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai brings another twist around Mansi’s pregnancy. Naira gets jealous on seeing Kartik with his childhood friend Ashi. Kartik and Ashi go for jogging. Ashi cracks jokes, being a famous standup comedian. She makes sure that Kartik holds a smile on his face. They bond well. Naira comes to the same park and sees them together. Ashi gets all the attention. Naira laughs seeing Ashi’s behavior and doings first. She then finds Kartik happy and centered on Ashi. She feels bad seeing their close friendship. Naira tries to avoid them. Naitik meets his friend and gets busy in talk. He then comes to Naira and asks her what made her upset. Naira doesn’t tell him anything.
Naira takes some time off and goes to talk to Kartik. She tells Kartik that they have to take Mansi to the hospital for check up. Kartik asks her to take an appointment, he will get Mansi by some excuse. Kartik and Naira decide to meet at the maternity hospital. Naira makes a leave from the park. She informs Anmol that she is going to get Mansi’s check up done. Kartik and Naira reach the hospital and wait for Mansi.

Kartik tells Naira that its no use to wait for Mansi, they should leave. Dadi gets informed that Kartik has rushed to the maternity hospital on Naira’s call, Kartik is currently meeting the doctor. Dadi wonders why did Kartik and Naira visit the maternity clinic. She goes to find out the entire.
She learns about Naira and Kartik’s appointment and gets confused that they are becoming parents. She gets mixed emotions and doesn’t know what to do next. She wants to stop Kartik and Naira’s divorce. She decides to make Ashi out of Kartik’s life and ruin Suwarna’s planning of Kartik’s remarriage, as Naira is pregnant with Kartik’s child.
