Yeh Rishta 23 December 2020 Written Update Kartik Naira return Kartik and Naira are hesitant to go inside the house. Kairav surprises the family. He tells them that he has come home. Suwarna tells that she wants to see Kartik and Naira. She goes to welcome her children. She doesn’t want them to go away. Manish tells that Kartik and Naira won’t be leaving them now. He feels their separation was long enough.
Suwarna takes Kartik and Naira home to welcome them in their traditional manner. Lav and Kush get the news of their arrival. They get too happy. Vansh is excited to meet Kairav after a long time. Lav and Kush give importance to Kartik and Naira. This leaves Surekha upset. Surekha doesn’t seem to be happy just like Gayu. Gayu also stays away from the celebrations. Vansh meets Kairav and apologizes. He wanted to take a stand for Kairav, but didn’t. He feels he has been wrong. Kairav wants him to forget the past. He just wants Vansh to recover.
Kartik and Naira meet their adopted daughter Krishna. They tell that they will never leave her alone from now. They want to keep their responsibility towards Krishna. Gayu takes away Vansh. She taunts Naira for coming back to take over the house. Naira wants to meet Gayu and pacify their relationship. She meets Gayu and hugs her with a hope that Gayu will reciprocate. Gayu tells that things will worse for her with Naira’s return.

She knows that Dadi will not let Naira go away. She tells that its better that she takes her children away from dramatic Goenka family. Gayu doesn’t feel any love received from the family. Gayu tells that Naira can stay with the family. She wants to make a leave. This breaks Naira’s heart. Naira tells that she has come to meet Dadi, she will leave soon. Gayu tells that Samarth isn’t handling the kids, he is staying much busy in work. She tells that she didn’t even miss Naira. Naira apologizes to Gayu that she created the confusion between Kairav and them.
She wants Gayu to forgive Kairav. Gayu doesn’t listen to her. Dadi returns home and feels better on seeing her children back. She can’t stay away from them now. She tells that she will not let them go anywhere from now. Kartik and Naira are conscious of Gayu’s hatred for them. Kartik tells them that once Dadi recovers, then they will be going back home. Kartik and Naira try to convince Dadi to let them go. Dadi cries out that they have come on knowing her ill. She tells that she is ready to stay ill forever if they will stay in the family.
She wants them to promise that they won’t go until she is alive. Kartik and Naira promise her. The family is very happy for them. Kartik and Naira sense Gayu’s annoyance. Manish and Suwarna are happy that the family got the happiness restored because of Kartik and Naira’s return. Kartik and Naira try to put Kairav to sleep. Kartik tells that Kairav wants his mum and forgot his dad. Manish tries to find out the matter. Kartik doesn’t let anyone know that Kairav was away from Naira till now.

Later, Kartik and Naira find joy and peace in their personal space, their bedroom. They want to stay with the family. They have many memories with the house. Kartik pacifies Naira and gives her hope that Gayu and her relation will get better with time. He wants to see her happy. They spend some quality time. They love to enjoy the feeling that they are back home. Kartik and Naira get into an emotional talk. There will be huge twists with Samarth’s business blunder hurting the Goenka empire. Kartik and Naira take charge to handle their family and business.
