Anupama 5th May 2022 Written Update Anuj’s promise Anupama asks Anuj why the college seems empty. Anuj tells Anupama that it’s college’s holiday today. Anupama asks Anuj how college gates are opened on a holiday. Anuj tells Anupama that he specially got the college gates opened. He explains to Anupama that like some frontbenchers built a good rapport with the teachers and the principal; similarly some backbenchers built a good rapport with the college guard, peons and janitors. Anupama asks Anuj if he doesn’t feel that everything has changed. Anuj tells Anupama that nothing has changed, as he used to look at an innocent girl back then, and even now.
Anupama tells Anuj that she came to get admission in college with Bhavesh. While climbing up the staircase, Anuj tells Anupama that this is the most special place for him as he saw her here for the first time. They reach a balcony and Anupama tells Anuj that it was the place where she got ragged by her senior. Anuj reminds Anupama the name of the senior, who ragged her was Vivek. Anupama says Vivek asked her to apply oil in her hair and make three braids. Anuj tells Anupama that surprisingly after her ragging incident, ragging stopped in their college. He says he even heard that Vivek, who ragged her, didn’t come to college for the next 2-3 weeks.
Anupama looks at Anuj with doubt and questioning eyes. Anuj tries to escape Anupama’s questions but fails. Anupama asks Anuj if he got ragging stopped in the college. Anuj tells Anupama that she looked cute, when she oiled her hair and made braids out of them. Anupama asks Anuj why Vivek didn’t come to college for approximately 2-3 weeks. Anuj tries to escape Anupama’s questions but Anupama repeats her question. He tells Anupama that Vivek was in hospital. Anupama starts asking Anuj if he beat Vivek. Anuj interrupts Anupama and tells her that he had no choice. He indirectly accepts that he beat Vivek black and blue. Anuj explains to Anupama that he was immature at that time and found no other way to stop Vivek.
Anupama tells Anuj that he should have let it go on. Anuj tells Anupama that he can’t tolerate anyone annoying her, passing taunts at her and making fun of her. He tells Anupama that it didn’t take him long to fall for her, but it took him 27 years in order to be with her. Anuj says he is slower than the tortoise in the fable of hare and the tortoise. Emotional Anupama tells Anuj that she wants to know everything he did for her. Anuj takes Anupama somewhere. On the other hand, Bapuji and GK are seen walking together outside. Gk asks Bapuji to have some fruit juice. Bapuji replies that he drank the juice just now. GK asks Bapuji to drink some more juice as he has walked a 100 meters after the last juice.
Bapuji asks GK to stop it now. Bapuji gives his reports to GK to keep them safely with him. He keeps the doctor’s prescription and the new tonic doctor gave to him, with himself. Bapuji hugs GK and thanks him. GK tells Bapuji that he will tell the truth to everyone after marriage. Vanraj seems to have overheard some of the conversation that happened between Bapuji and GK. At college, Anuj and Anupama are seen spending a wonderful and quality time together. “Pehla Nasha” plays in the background. They reminisce about their classroom and corridor memories. Anuj and Anupama even dance together.
Then Anuj takes Anupama to the college canteen for lunch. After this they talk together by sitting on the bench in the college garden. At Shah house, Bapuji hides a diagnostic center envelope under his pillow. Vanraj watches Bapuji secretly and thinks that he failed to hear Bapuji and GK’s discussion, which seemed serious. He recalls that he saw GK carrying reports from a diagnostic center. Vanraj recalls Baa’s doubt that Bapuji is surely hiding something from them. He says he hopes that Bapuji is fine, as he doesn’t want anything else. Vanraj takes out the diagnostic center envelope, which Bapuji hid under the pillow.
He opens the envelope and reads the documents kept inside it. At college, Anupama tells Anuj that she was an average student. She also tells Anuj that every average girl/woman dreams of having something to be proud of. Anupama further tells Anuj that God made her a part of a love story, which she is very proud of. Anuj tells Anupama that he feels the same. He also tells Anupama that their love story isn’t that dramatic or filmy. Anuj explains to Anupama that he never climbed up a ladder to reach her balcony to meet her. He also explains to Anupama that he never danced on bollywood numbers with background dancers to impress her. Anuj further explains to Anupama that her parents never gave him a blank cheque to get out of her life. Anuj says it’s all average.
Anupama tells Anuj that past and present are simple. She also tells Anuj that thankfully their love wasn’t like a momentary rush, rather like the warmth of a winter sun. Anuj reminds Anupama that it’s she only, who keeps saying that simplicity adds beauty. Anupama tells Anuj that she was scared after separation from Vanraj. She says she was scared thinking if her name gets linked to someone, it would bring disgrace. Anupama tells Anuj that now, when she has got linked to him, she feels proud. Anupama tells Anuj that whenever she speaks MaAn, she feels alive and enjoys life. Anuj tells Anupama that mature love stories like theirs are usually not captured on celluloid. He says no songs or books are made on them.
Anuj says such love stories must be kept safe forever, in the corner of their mind with love. Anuj tells Anupama that their college is the lone witness of their 27 year old love story. He tells Anupama that their story began here, then it halted here, then it restarted in the reunion party that happened at this college and now it has reached the college bench they are sitting on presently. Anupama tells Anuj that sometimes she feels that they should have united 27 years ago. Anuj tells Anupama that he also thinks the same again and again. They discuss what is written, happens. Anuj tells an amazing idea to Anupama. Hearing Anuj’s plan, Anupama tells Anuj that their sangeet ceremony will be amazing.
On the other hand, Vanraj takes the prescription pics of Bapuji to a pharmacy. He shows it to the pharmacist and the latter tells the former that all the medicines written in the prescription are vitamins. On the other hand, Bapuji tells GK that his prescription for his other two medicines got left with him. Bapuji asks GK to send him the pics of his prescription left with him. On the other hand, Vanraj still feels that Bapuji is surely hiding something from everyone. He wonders what it is. On the other hand, Anuj and Anupama are seen having tamarind in their college. Anuj tells Anupama that they completed a childish romance and date. He tells Anupama that now he is thinking that they should romance the way elders do it. Anupama asks Anuj what he means to say.
At Shah house, Vanraj tells Baa that her doubt turned out right. Baa asks Vanraj to find out what his father is hiding. Samar tells everyone that they finally got the idea for the sangeet theme. He says Anuj sent the theme idea to the group. Samar asks everyone to check it. Everyone checks MaAn’s wedding group and finds Anuj’s idea cool and impressive. Samar says it’s exactly like Anuj and Anupama’s love story. Devika says Malvika messaged that she will arrange the sangeet theme’s costumes. She says this means they will have to make all arrangements. Pakhi says it will be fun.
Baa asks Anupama’s supporters what is so special about Anuj’s idea that made them so happy. Devika tells Baa that she will get to know about it tomorrow. She says she can just tell her that tomorrow’s sangeet ceremony will be special, especially for Anuj and Anupama. Devika indirectly makes fun of Vanraj, seeing him and Baa getting jealous. Angry Vanraj thinks that he is just waiting for some chance or issue to happen, which he can manipulate to shut up Anupama’s supporters. Vanraj thinks why Anupama is taking so long in her date with Anuj, as it’s 8pm now.
On the other hand, Anuj takes Anupama to a bonfire date with him at some waterfall. He gets mesmerized seeing Anupama wearing a black saree. Anupama feels shy with Anuj’s stare. Blur flashbacks of Anuj and Anupama’s college time are shown. Both Anuj and Anupama get romantic with each other. They also do a couple-dance. Ek Khwab ne Ankhen Kholi Hain – Sajde from the film “Kill Dil” plays in the background. At Shah house, Vanraj waits for Anupama and Anuj. Vanraj overhears Paritosh telling the rest of Anupama’s supporters that he has got Vanraj’s traits and thus can’t control his impulsive behavior. He hears Paritosh saying that he has given so much pain and sadness to Anupama and might also do the same in future.
Paritosh says he can’t either take care of relations or abide by them. He says he always troubles Anupama and apologizes to her, again and again for the same. Paritosh promises that he will work so hard in Anupama’s marriage with Anuj that all his past mistakes will be forgiven. Kinjal holds Paritosh’s shoulder in happiness and says that they are the luckiest children, who have got the chance to see their mother, getting married. Pakhi and Samar say that they can’t stop their tears of joy, since Anuj and Anupama’s marriage got fixed. Kinjal asks everyone to stop crying and focus on the mehendi ceremony.
Samar gets emotional with Anupama’s happiness. Vanraj recalls his mehendi ceremony moments and gets upset hearing his children’s talks. Devika says Anupama is very lucky as her children are preparing the wedding mehendi for her. Samar says even Anuj is lucky as they are preparing and grinding the mehendi for him too. Devika asks Anupama’s children to grind the mehendi for Anuj in the mixer-grinder. Kinjal requests Devika to not even say that as a joke. Pakhi agrees with Kinjal and says that Anuj is very special to them. Vanraj stops hearing all this. Samar asks Devika why they should consider Anuj as a stranger, when he calls them his own.
Samar says the person who ushered so much happiness in his mother’s life, deserves all the happiness in the world. Kinjal says their mother (Anupama) is one in a million and deserves a person like Anuj and no one else. Vanraj shed tears of disappointment. Devika says both Anuj and Anupama were naive, otherwise she wanted to unite them during college days only.
In the next episode, Pakhi will ask what they will call Anuj after marriage. Samar will say that they can address Anuj as “Papa/dad”, but he might not like it. Hearing this, Vanraj will feel angry. On the other hand, Anuj will ask Anupama to tell him clearly, whatever expectations she has from her to-be husband. Anupama will tell Anuj that she doesn’t want to lose Anupama, which she found in the last two year by so much difficulty. Anuj will hold Anupama’s hand. On the other hand, Vanraj will burn in jealousy and fear what if his children will start addressing Anuj as their father.
