Anupama 16th May 2022 Written Update Anupama’s Wedding Mamaji asks Anuj what about the 7the day of the week. Anuj replies that couples can have weekly date nights. Kinjal asks Paritosh if he heard something. Paritosh tells Anuj that lives of half of the guys in India have become difficult because of his romantic nature. Mamaji says he is glad as he is single. Everyone laughs out loud. Anupama tells Anuj that she is blessed to get a life partner like him. She says that she must have committed some good deeds in the last and present life that she got him now.
Anupama tells Anuj that he considers a woman as Annapurna, goddess Saraswati and goddess Lakshmi. She also tells Anuj that he true heart considers his would-be wife a companion, a partner and a friend. Anupama further tells Anuj that he can break any wall that blocks his companion’s way. She says Anuj understands the value of a woman’s consent. Anupama also says that Anuj understands the value of a woman’s hardwork and identities, be she working outside or as a housewife. She further says otherwise women don’t hold any value to the world. Anupama says women work the whole day in the kitchen and then ends up hearing that she reeks of spices.
This leaves everyone emotional except Baa and Vanraj, who are Anupama’s culprits. Anuj wipes Anupama’s tears. Anupama thanks Anuj for giving her so much respect and #MaAn. One by one everyone applies haldi to Anupama, except Baa and Vanraj. Anupama gives love to younger and equal ones and touches elders feet, receiving their blessings. Later Anuj and Samar discuss someone’s arrival. Anuj tells Samar that he personally invited them and they might be on their way. At the same time, some transgenders arrive and surprise everyone. Flashback shows Anuj promising transgenders that he will surely invite them to his and Anupama’s wedding.
Anuj and Anupama and transgenders greet each other. Transgenders congratulations to Anuj and Anupama for their wedding. Anuj reminds transgenders that he promised them that he will surely and personally invite them if he and Anupama get married. Transgenders tell Anuj that everyone just says this but no one really remembers them. Anupama tells transgenders that friends are always remembered. Transgenders get surprised as Anupama addresses them as her friends. Anupama tells transgenders that it’s a simple math, the one who betrays is the world and the one who gives blessings is a friend. This makes transgenders emotional and happy.
Emotional transgenders dance with Anuj and Anupama and ward off evil eyes from them. This surprises everyone and makes them emotional. Baa and Vanraj feel shocked. Anuj and Anupama fold hands in front of transgenders thanking them. Transgenders blesses Anuj and Anupama that their sorrows get halved, while their joys get doubled. Anuj and Anupama feed sweets to Transgenders and they leave blessing the couple with lifetime happiness. Kanta says the ones with whom they didn’t have any relationship gave their blessings to Anuj and Anupama, wholeheartedly, but some people didn’t even honor a 27-year-long relationship.
This offends Vanraj and Baa. Kanta says if the people she is talking about understood her, they can bless and wish Anuj and Anupama as it’s still not too late to realize their mistakes. Bapuji addresses Baa and Vanraj as lamps without oil, who will never light up. He asks Kanta to not expect anything good from Vanraj and Baa. Baa and Vanraj remain silent even being offended. Anuj and Anupama thank their supporters for being a part of their happiness, for magnifying it and for making their special day more special. Baa and Vanraj feel irritated. Anuj and Anupama thank their supporters for making their wedding a grand affair.
Vanraj feels angry. Anupama says Bapuji even didn’t let his illness come in the way of her and Anuj’s wedding. Anuj says it’s tough to accept another guy in one’s mother’s life. He thanks Paritosh, Kinjal, Samar and Pakhi for accepting him in their mother’s (Anupama’s) life. Anuj and Anupama thank their supporters for supporting them, not thinking about society’s thinking and norms. Anupama thanks her supporters for transforming a grandmother’s wedding into that of a princess. Anuj stares at Anupama with love. This angers Vanraj and Baa. Anupama and Anuj say they wish people like them who seek happiness, love and marriage at any age, also get a supportive family like theirs.
Bapuji tells Anupama and Anuj that the doctor has asked him to be happy and they are making him cry. Devika and Malvika present the wedding outfit to Anupama from the groom’s side. Samar, Paritosh and Pakhi present the wedding outfit to Anuj from the bride’s side. GK says the bride’s relatives/family don’t give any wedding outfit to the groom. Samar says this should be done. Paritosh says relationships should be egalitarian from the beginning. Everyone agrees to it. Anuj says everyone should smile when everything is going right. Seeing and hearing this, Anupama wards off bad sight immediately.
Anuj also tells Anupama’s children that he will become Anupama’s husband after the wedding, but will always remain their friend/buddy. Anupama’s children agree to it. Anuj signs Vanraj to not be insecure of him anymore. Anupama notices this and understands what Anuj and Vanraj discussed on the mehendi and sangeet ceremony day, alone. She thanks Anuj. Anupama secretly wards off bad sight from Anuj. Everyone teasingly tells Anuj and Anupama that they are just going to rest and change for the wedding, not getting separated forever. Bapuji says he will be resting for sometime. He also asks everyone to dress his daughter Anupama like a princess for her wedding. Anuj feeds sweet to Bapuji. Vanraj feels insecure.
Malvika and Devika take desperate Anuj with them. Shy Anupama feels excited about her wedding with Anuj. Later, an irritated Baa is seen preparing turmeric milk. She addresses Anupama as trouble and wishes that she bid farewell to Shah house soon. Anupama comes to the kitchen. Baa finds haldi and by mistake haldi from Baa’s hands falls on Anupama’s hand. This makes Anupama happy. She makes Baa realize that God gave her (Baa’s) blessings to her (Anupama) by making her (Baa) apply turmeric to her (Anupama). Baa says it was an accident. Anupama says haldi has been applied by a mother’s hand and now her haldi ceremony got completed fully.
She hugs Baa from the back and tells her that she will always remain a mother figure to her, no matter what happens or has happened between them. Anupama tells Baa that she wants her to attend her wedding and bless her. She also tells Baa that a person even gets attached to his/her pet but she is a human being. Anupama asks Baa if she doesn’t have any place for her in her heart. She also asks Baa won’t she attend her wedding and be happy in her happiness. Anupama reminds Baa of their 26-year-long relationship. She requests Baa to bid her a happy farewell (bidaai) with her blessings.
Anupama leaves telling Baa that she will wait for blessings in her wedding. Baa seems angry, confused as well as emotional. Kinjal and Pakhi distribute the responsibilities of decking up Anupama into a beautiful bride. Anupama says that she also wants her daughters to help her in getting ready for her wedding. Kinjal suddenly screams with a little in pain touching her stomach This makes Anupama, Pakhi and Kinjal tense. In a few minutes, Anupama understands the situation and tells Kinjal that her baby is kicking her and it’s normal. Kinjal says she is so stupid as even being pregnant, she doesn’t know about the happenings in pregnancy. Anupama tells Kinjal that she isn’t stupid as every mother feels concerned about her unborn baby’s safety.
Pakhi starts crying. Anupama asks Pakhi what happened. Crying Pakhi hugs Anupama and tells Anupama that now she realized that mothers feels concerned about their children even before they take birth. Anupama hugs Kinjal as well as Pakhi. Later, Vanraj asks Kavya why she is so happy attending her husband’s ex-wife’s wedding. He tells Kavya that Anupama is their enemy. Kavya tells Vanraj that Anupama was never their enemy, they were. She reminds Vanraj that they always wronged Anupama and betrayed her. Kavya says Anupama just forgave them. She tells Vanraj that she is just seeking connection from Anupama’s happiness as she herself doesn’t have any reason to be happy.
Vanraj tells Kavya that people will laugh at her. Kavya says it’s good as she, people and Anupama, everyone will be happy. She tells Vanraj that she even forgotten to smile and he also has forgot to smile. Kavya requests Vanraj to let Anupama leave happily with her husband atleast for Bapuji and children’s sake. She tells Vanraj that she said what she had and rest is up to him. Kavya also tells Vanraj that she wishes Anupama to always be happy. She further tells Vanraj that she infact wishes that every woman remains this happy as she knows that many women are yearning for such happiness/joy. Vanraj feels confused and Kavya leaves.
On the other hand, Kinjal tells Anupama that she needs her at every step. Anupama tells Kinjal that she is with her. Realizing that Anupama will be living with Anuj after wedding, Kinjal requests Anupama to meet her taking out a little time for her after her wedding. Kinjal tells Anupama that she wants her to hold her baby first, just after his/her birth as read that Baby becomes like a person, who holds him/her first. Kinjal tells Anupama that she wishes her upcoming baby to have her values and virtues. She also tells Anupama that she wants her to be a part of her baby.
In the next episode, Anupama will assure her children that she will never change her behaviour towards them. Later, a crying Malvika will tell Anuj, GK and Devika that she will have to leave for US today itself. Anuj will tell Malvika that he won’t get married in her absence.
