Yeh Rishta Akshara’s sacrifice 18th May 2022 Update Abhimanyu and Akshara reach Birla hospital. They receive a grand welcome from the staff. Akshara gets emotional seeing all this. Everyone from the staff gives flowers to the newly weds (Abhira). As Dr. Rohan is about to give red roses to Akshara, Abhimanyu cutely scares him. Sacred Rohan takes white roses from someone else and gives them to Akshara. Tears fall from Aarohi’s eyes in jealousy and she immediately wipes them off. Aarohi feels angry seeing everyone giving care and attention to Akshara.
Staff tells Akshara that they are very much excited to work with her. They tell Abhira that they are lucky to have each other as husband and wife. Staff also tells Abhira that the patients will get well quickly if they will work together. Akshara feels sad as well as guilty. Angry and jealous Aarohi leaves from there with teary eyes. She recalls Harsh, Anand and Mahima’s decision to shut down the music therapy department. Akshara wonders how to tell excited and happy Abhimanyu about it. Akshara falls in Abhimanyu’s cabin and Abhimanyu handles her in his arms. Flashbacks of similar incidents from the past are shown.
Seeing Akshara sad and worried, Abhimanyu asks her what happened. He asks Akshara if she got emotional on receiving the grand welcome for hospital staff. He tells Akshara that she gets senti and emotional on small-small things. Abhimanyu explains to Akshara that she deserves all this and no one is doing a favor on her by doing all this for her. He tells Akshara that even Manjiri is very talented but no one valued her talent from the family members. Abhimanyu also tells Akshara that Manjiri’s confidence slowly ended as she failed to work/make a career in her love for her family.
He says Manjiri herself gave up, when he reached the age to understand her situation and help her. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he won’t let all this happen to her, what happened with Manjiri. He explains to Akshara that it’s a person’s responsibility to fulfill his/her own dreams.
Abhimanyu asks Akshara to never let situation, family or even him in the way of her career dreams. Akshara grows more guilty. Abhimanyu shows Akshara the list of people he made. He asks Akshara to read these people’s resumes and hire whomever she finds right for her department.
Akshara shocks Abhimanyu by telling him that she doesn’t want her department. On the other hand, Aarohi thinks why she has to struggle so much to get everything, when she is so hardworking and intelligent. Dr. Rohan comes there and gives red roses to Aarohi. Aarohi gets angry at Rohan for giving red roses to both Akshara and her. Rohan asks Aarohi to not be in a nonsense misunderstanding. He tells Aarohi that this red roses bouquet came on her name and the receptionist asked him to give it to her. Aarohi takes the roses bouquet from Rohan and the latter leaves from there.
Aarohi reads that someone named Rudra sent her roses. At the same time Aarohi gets Rudra’s call and picks it up. On the other hand, Abhimanyu asks Akshara if someone said anything to her. Akshara says no and tells Abhimanyu that she just doesn’t want her department. Abhimanyu asks why. He tells Akshara that it’s fine if she is feeling nervous as he also got nervous during his first surgery. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that she is perfect in her work and is meant to do it. Seeing Akshara worried, Abhimanyu tells Akshara that she is making him tense. Akshara tells Abhimanyu that for now she wants to give her full time to him and family.
She also tells Abhimanyu that she won’t be able to handle work and home together. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that they will handle everything together and will remain together 24 hours. He also tells Akshara that he won’t let her pay such a huge price for their marriage. Akshara tells Abhimanyu that she doesn’t want anyone to say that she didn’t build her career by her own efforts and instead her husband gifted it to her. Akshara’s words stunns Abhimanyu. Akshara feels guilty. On the other hand, a confused Aarohi receives another bouquet of roses. Back at Abhimanyu’s cabin, Abhimanyu tells Akshara that she insulted his ability, love and both of their years-long efforts in just one second and one line.
He asks Akshara if he is working in his family’s hospital without any talent. Abhimanyu also asks Akshara if he doesn’t deserve his position in Birla hospital and the respect he gets from everyone. He further asks Akshara if his father opened a hospital for him just because he used to play doctor-doctor in his childhood. Akshara tells Abhimanyu that he is misunderstanding her. She says she was talking about herself, not him. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that the matter/issue would be the same, whether it’s about him or her. He asks Akshara to tell him if anyone said anything to her. Abhimanyu says it’s good to be self made but a husband’s gift to his wife is not considered wrong.
Akshara tells Abhimanyu that Birla hospital would go into losses as she doesn’t have many patients at present. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that Anand and Mahima also had less patients initially. He explains to Akshara that slowly her patients will increase as everyone will slowly get to know her and her way of treatment. Akshara stutters and says that Birla hospital makes profit but her department doesn’t. She asks Abhimanyu why to invest so much in her department. Abhimanyu asks Akshara who said all this to her and from where she heard all this. Akshara replies no one. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he can’t believe that these are her words (investment and profit).
He keeps on asking Akshara who said all this to her. Dr. Rohan comes and asks Abhimanyu to check bed no. 17’s urgent reports. Abhimanyu takes the report file and sends back Rohan. Akshara leaves immediately to escape Abhimanyu’s questions. Angry Abhimanyu resolutes to find out who made Akshara think all this. He doubts Harsh behind making Akshara think all this. At night, Akshara is seen tensed thinking about Harsh, Mahima and Anand’s decision as well as Abhimanyu’s anger.
Suddenly, a police siren is heard. Tense, Akshara runs downstairs to check it out. Mahima feels irritated and asks someone to shut the siren noise. Akshara gets shocked seeing angry Abhimanyu sitting beside the ringing siren. Whole family arrives there. Harsh shuts down the siren and angrily asks Abhimanyu, what does he mean by this. Abhimanyu says it’s a warning. He tells Harsh that he always gives loud and clear warnings. Abhimanyu says he isn’t the person who discusses destroying someone’s ambition and dreams in a closed room. This shocks Akshara and Harsh. Mahima asks Abhimanyu what someone did, which made him angry.
Anand asks Abhimanyu to directly come to the point. Abhimanyu asks Anand, Harsh and Mahima how dare they even thought of shutting down the music therapy department without discussing it with him. This shocks everyone. Mahima arrogantly tells Abhimanyu that they made this decision just like he opened the music therapy department without asking or discussing with them. Harsh thanks Mahima for reminding him about it. He says they are considered wrong in everything while Abhimanyu is always considered right. Abhimanyu tells Harsh that right and wrong is decided by a person’s intentions.
Harsh says his intentions are absolutely clear. He tells Abhimanyu that he takes hospital management decisions.
Abhimanyu reminds Harsh that he didn’t make any kind of investment in the music therapy department and just utilized the already available resources. He asks Harsh, if he is getting troubled and closing the whole music therapy department just because of one name plate attached outside the cabin. Anand tries to explain that it’s not what he is thinking. Abhimanyu asks Anand to explain to him. Harsh tells Abhimanyu that they don’t need to explain anything to him, instead of his cardiology department related matters.
Abhimanyu asks Harsh if Akshara’s practice doesn’t matter to him. Harsh says he isn’t stopping Akshara’s practice. He says Akshara can continue her practice and attend to her patients from ward to ward but she doesn’t need a separate space or department for her work. Abhimanyu explains to Harsh that every patient needs to be given separate time and space. Harsh says it’s not possible and asks Abhimanyu to end this matter. Abhimanyu says he won’t let this matter end so easily and fight for it. Shefali apologizes and asks Abhimanyu why he didn’t think the same for Parth’s benefit. Parth asks Shefali to speak in between.
Shefali asks Parth where she is wrong in this. Parth tells Shefali that he doesn’t have any interest or experience in music therapy. Shefali tells Parth that he would have also learnt music therapy if Abhimanyu would have supported him like he is supporting Akshara today. Parth asks Shefali if Abhimanyu has taken his responsibility. Shefali asks Parth if Abhimanyu doesn’t have any duties or responsibilities towards him being his brother like he fulfills his responsibilities towards Abhimanyu. Mahima asks Shefali and Parth to end their argument and not talk about this again.
Harsh says the main matter is that music therapy doesn’t need a separate department. He says they will open a more profitable IVF facility in place of the music therapy department. Harsh explains to Abhimanyu that he has researched that IVF facility will start giving them profits from its second year only. Abhimanyu explains that the music therapy department can also earn profits and every big hospital is promoting it as this therapy doesn’t have any side effects, just health benefits. He tells Harsh that he would have understood music’s benefits on health, if he would have ever talked to or understood Manjiri.
Harsh asks if Manjiri, who can’t even talk in front of 4 people, will teach him how to run a business and hospital. Abhimanyu tells Harsh that if he would have let Manjiri talk and fulfill her dreams, he would have been a much better person today. Anand asks Abhimanyu to not make a professional decision a personal one. He asks Harsh to call the management, marketing and sales team in front of Abhimanyu. Anand says let’s talk about facts and figures instead of whims and fancies. Harsh says it’s not needed as they already discussed everything in detail. He says he doesn’t interfere in between doctor’s work and expects no one’s interference in his work.
Harsh says he hires gold medalist doctors daily and can’t give a whole department to an unqualified music instrument player girl. Abhimanyu tells Harsh that Akshara plays guitar and is not unqualified, but it’s him who is the uneducated one. This shocks everyone. He also tells Harsh that he humiliated/insulted Manjiri’s music talent and she tolerated it. Abhimanyu tells Harsh that he won’t tolerate all this for his wife. He says his mother’s dreams got buried in Birla house getting suffocated but he won’t let all this happen with Akshara. Abhimanyu tells Harsh that he won’t let him control Akshara’s dreams, ambitions and happiness. Harsh and Abhimanyu indulge in an argument over the music therapy department.
Their argument irritates the whole family. Akshara declares/announces that she won’t work in the music therapy department. Akshara’s decision shocks everyone. Mahima says matter is solved. Harsh tells Abhimanyu that he has got habitual of taunting him. He also tells Abhimanyu that he can’t see that he is not wrong about his Akshara and Manjiri. Harsh says everyone gets whatever they deserve. He tells Abhimanyu that investment is never made on the physically handicapped horse. Harsh asks Abhimanyu to remember it always. Manjiri and Akshara feel guilty for disappointing Abhimanyu. Abhimanyu feels angry with Akshara’s decision.
In the next episode, Akshara will apologize to Abhimanyu for saying no to him in front of everyone like this. Abhimanyu will tell Akshara that she should apologize for sacrificing her dream for everyone. Later, through Abhimanyu’s reminder alarm, Akshara will get to know that it’s Harsh and Manjiri’s anniversary the next day. Abhimanyu tells Akshara that Manjiri and Harsh’s anniversary is not celebrated in Birla house. Akshara will decide to make Harsh and Manjiri’s anniversary special. Abhimanyu will determine that he won’t let Akshara suffer like Manjiri suffered all her life. Later, Abhimanyu and Akshara will be seen enjoying and dancing somewhere.
