Maharani 2 25th August 2022 starring Huma Qureshi on SonyLIV Huma Qureshi (Badlapur) is back as unfiltered and unabashed chief minister Rani Bharti of Bihar. Season one was well received by the audience for its gripping storyline. One cannot wait to see Rani spread magic once again with her strict laws and badass nature. After successfully becoming the chief minister from a simple housewife in season one to undertaking the responsibilities of the administration in the season 2, Maharani 2 promises political thriller drama in plenty.
Maharani 2 is based on the life story of ex Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s wife Rabri Devi, who came into power in the 1990s. The trailer is excellent and guarantees full-on entertainment as Huma Qureshi doesn’t fail to impress yet another time as Rabri Devi. The web series seems to be on similar lines with Abhishek Bachchan starrer “Dasvi ” where there is a personal battle between a husband and wife for power and position.

Actress Huma Qureshi also took to her Instagram handle and announced the launch of the teaser to her fans and captioned it as, “She is coming backkk !!! #Maharani #Season2 is on its way to you …. According to the speculations actors like Amit Sial (Aafat-E-Ishq), Sohum Shah (The Big Bull), Vineet Kumar (Masaan), Inaamulhaq (Filmistaan), Kani Kasturi (OK Computer), Anuja Sathe (Blackmail), Pramod Pathak (Gangs of Wasseypur), Dibyendu Bhattacharya (Rocket Boys) and Neha Chouhan (Love, Sex Aur Dhokha) will be seen playing some prominent roles. As per reports the series is directed by Ravindra Gautam and produced under the banner of Kangra Talkies.
Maharani 2 seems to be a brilliant political drama where Rabri Devi is ready to put her husband Bheema on the second place in her life for the greed and love to remain the chief minister of Bihar.
