Shabaash Mithu streaming now on Netflix and Voot Shabaash Mithu is a biographical sports drama based on Indian women’s national cricket team’s captain Mithali Raj. The versatile actress Taapsee Pannu (Saand Ki Aankh) is seen essaying the role of Mithali Raj in which she struggles to make a place for women cricket players in the male dominated cricket world. The film showcases her journey from conflicts to fame and eventually making a mark.

The movie contains an inspirational theme that women are not less than men in anything be it even cricket which is generally known as “a game played by men”. Taapsee is shining in the trailer as she effortlessly portrays Mithali Raj and plays cricket like a pro. Her dialogue delivery and acting skills merge nicely with the theme of the movie. The music is motivating and gives a sense of pride within us.

According to the speculations actors like Inayat Verma (Ludo), Mumtaz Sorcar (Saala Khadoos), Vijay Raaz (Janhit Mein Jaari), Brijendra Kala (Sherni), Sameer Dharmadhikari (Prem Ratan Dhan Payo), Nishant Pradhan, Shilpi Marwaha, Titeeksha Tawde, Nirali Oza, Anushree Kushwaha, Kasturi Jagnam, Kajal Shishodia, Manashree Gavande, Devadarshini, Aditi Aryan, Vaishnavi Desai, Priya Kumari, Ramya Suresh, Kalyani Jha and Sampa Mandal will be seen playing some prominent roles. As per reports the series is directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Ajit Andhare under the banner of Viacom18 Studios and Colosceum Media.

Shabaash Mithu is streaming on two OTT platforms parallely which is on Netflix as well as Voot Special. The movie highlights various issues that a woman has to go through in the field of cricket and also persuades girls to take up sport as a career choice. It attempts to show that one has to pursue their passion in the field of sports in spite of many obstacles just like our talented player Mithali Raj who never gave up on her dreams.
