Bhagya Lakshmi 20th September 2023 Written Update Wedding twist. Neelam commends Lakshmi for all her hard work and dedicates the day to her. Dadi suggests they get ready discreetly so as not to arouse suspicion of their dislike for the marriage. Virender emphasizes the need to confess his love for Lakshmi to Rishi. Neelam reminds Lakshmi of her duty to reflect on her actions, even though she despises her. Despite being against her return, Neelam insists she stays until the wedding is over. If Dadi or Babu ji summon Lakshmi, Neelam prohibits her from leaving and urges her to decline any summons. However, upon marriage, Neelam promises to absolve Lakshmi of all wrongdoing and permits her departure.
According to Virender, if Rishi doesn’t confess his feelings, Lakshmi will distance herself from him. Shalu suggests they go and brighten up Jiju’s spirits. Ayush arrives and reveals that he has confronted Rishi about his feelings. Virender and Dadi admire his bravery. Sonia overhears them and suspects a conspiracy. She decides to eavesdrop on their conversation. Dadi encourages them to go and win over Rishi’s heart. Sonia is determined not to let them succeed. Ayush embraces Shalu and wishes her luck. Dadi reminds everyone that Rishi must understand the situation soon; marrying Malishka would only lead to unhappiness for both him and Malishka, while Lakshmi would be miserable for life. Virender adds that Lakshmi deserves better than a lifetime of sorrow.
Neelam arrives at the hall and informs everyone that Pandit is yet to arrive. She warmly greets Kiran, who then embraces her and expresses her relief that the marriage is taking place today. She inquires about Lakshmi’s presence, to which Neelam responds that she is under her constant supervision to ensure she doesn’t go looking for Rishi. Kiran approves of this and Neelam shares her desire for Malishka to marry Rishi.

Bani and Shalu spot Sonia outside Rishi’s room and she shoves them. Shalu explains that they need to speak to Rishi, but Sonia informs them that he is not present. When asked about the reason for their visit, Shalu says it is regarding Dadi’s work. Sonia questions further, wondering if it has to do with Rishi and Bani’s marriage. Kiran interrupts and mentions Malishka getting ready as a bride before heading towards her. Neelam adds that everyone in the family is happy now and implies that Sonia had been causing problems previously. With a brave front, Sonia asks what their intentions are.
Shalu clarifies that Dadi has chosen someone for Lakshmi’s hand in marriage and hence they wanted to talk to Rishi about it. Rishi concludes that Lakshmi is an ideal match for him too and nothing is more important to him than Lakshmi. Shalu and Bani attempt to make Rishi acknowledge his love for Lakshmi while Dadi shares with Neelam her choice of a potential suitor for Lakshmi. Meanwhile, Malishka informs Rishi that they will now be getting married. Soon after, Rishi and Malishka arrive at the mandap.
Neelam invites Pandit to come over while Karishma questions why Lakshmi is present. Neelam explains that Rishi and Malishka’s wedding will take place today and she has placed Lakshmi there to ensure no obstacles arise. Sonia overhears Shalu and Bani discussing Dadi finding a groom for Lakshmi and shares this with the group. Dadi arrives and when asked by Karishma, confirms that she has chosen Rishi, an NRI, to marry Lakshmi. Dadi mentions that he is currently in America, and Neelam adds that it’s fortunate that Lakshmi will have the opportunity to travel abroad. Curious, Lakshmi asks for clarification. Dadi invites her to go to the room so they can discuss it further.
Neelam reassures Lakshmi that she won’t be going anywhere until after the marriage. She stresses that she doesn’t want any issues to arise during the marriage. Confirming with Pandit, Neelam confirms that today is indeed the day of the wedding and tasks him with making all necessary arrangements. Kiran informs Malishka that she is feeling content today. However, Malishka expresses her concern about Lakshmi’s presence. Kiran reassures her that Neelam has taken charge of Lakshmi and requested her to stay with her. She adds that today is the day when Malishka will get married. Rishi gazes at Lakshmi and their wedding album, but Malishka interrupts by taking the album from his hands.

Malishka inquires of Rishi what he is witnessing at that moment. He responds with a dream- the dream of our marriage. In disbelief, she asks if he really means it. Overjoyed, she declares her willingness to take the plunge and join him in matrimony. Reflecting on her emotions, she shares that she’s elated now, despite feeling troubled earlier when Vikrant accused her of having ulterior motives. She assures him that she isn’t foolish enough to sabotage her own celebrations, and emphasizes on his caring nature towards Lakshmi. Knowing that today marks Lakshmi’s farewell, Malishka urges Rishi to dispose of the old album and create new memories together by taking photos with each other.
Virender requests Dadi to check that all the arrangements have been taken care of by Neelam. Abhay expresses his gratitude to Neelam for successfully completing the marriage. Malishka and Rishi make their way downstairs. Bani urges Rishi to speak up before it’s too late. Rishi thinks that this is his last chance to confess his love to Lakshmi and encourages himself to go and tell her. Memories of Lakshmi asking him not to reveal their secret and making him swear flood back to Rishi’s mind. Malishka confidently declares that nothing can prevent their marriage from happening today. Karishma then instructs them to stay in their seats, which they promptly do by sitting on the sofa.
Lakshmi catches Rishi’s gaze, and he likewise looks back at her. Neelam requests Pandit to conduct a blessing ceremony before their marriage, asserting that it will indeed take place today. Dadi huddles her companions and reminds them that if Rishi succeeds in his test, they all will as well. Ayush also expresses his belief in Rishi’s abilities to ace the test. Meanwhile, Rishi envisions his wedding with Malishka, but is disturbed by the thought of Lakshmi standing beside someone else. In response to receiving blessings from God, Malishka suggests that they continue with exchanging rings and finally getting married without any further obstacles in sight.
Malishka requests Rishi to flash his winning smile. Ayush then appears and urges Rishi to express his love for her. He insists that it’s the perfect opportunity for Rishi to confess his love, but Malishka can’t help but think that Lakshmi’s influence has made him say this. She reassures Rishi that he can say it whenever he feels ready. However, Ayush reminds him that this may be their last chance as circumstances may not align like this again. With that, Ayush leaves and Malishka encourages Rishi to seize the moment and declare his love for her, reminding him of all the romantic memories they have shared in the past months.
