Yeh Hai Chahatein 1st January 2024 Written Update Karun’s departure. Aditya instructs Arjun to have his gun on hand as the shooting session is about to commence. Later, Mahima reaches out to him and fills him in on the situation. She urges him to make his way home quickly. Arjun ponders over how his gun ended up in Karun’s bag. He informs Aditya that he must leave for an emergency at home. Arjun shares all the details with Aditya. The latter chides him for failing to turn in the gun the previous day. Karun then confesses that he did not put the weapon in his bag. Jagdish intervenes, asking Mahima to remain calm. However, she asserts that Karun has tainted their family name.

In a fit of anger, she raises her hand towards Karun, but Arjun steps in and stops her. He reprimands Mahima for jumping to conclusions without knowing the full story. Mahima justifies herself by stating that Karun is her son, which doesn’t give her the right to defend him blindly. Arjun inquires if she believes that Karun intentionally brought a gun to school. He expresses his complete trust in Karun and asks him to explain the situation. Mahima is concerned about protecting the truth and questions Arjun’s scolding when she is worried about Karun’s future. She mentions that Karun was suspended from school and wonders who will give him admission now.

Upon arriving at the office, Kashvi is informed by Aditya and other officers that the information they received is accurate – Terrorists are hiding in the city with plans to disrupt Christmas Day. In response, Aditya instructs Kashvi to bring a few trainees on board for this important mission. Kashvi confidently assures him that together they will apprehend the Terrorists. She can’t help but worry about Karun’s safety, though. Mahima informs Arjun about the boarding school in Shimla. He assures her that he will discuss it with the Principal. He questions her reasoning behind sending Karun to Shimla. Romila agrees with Mahima’s choice.

Jagdish objects to the idea and suggests not sending Karun to boarding school. Mahima asserts her role as Karun’s mother and declares that she will make the final decision for him. Arjun reminds her that they need to decide together. She warns him of potential divorce if he continues to disagree with her. She cautions him to remain quiet on the matter. Overhearing their conversation, Karun believes he is unloved. He retreats to his room and tearfully gazes at a photo of his parents, wishing to be with them. Feeling misunderstood, he decides to leave home and writes a letter before departing.

Praying for his parents’ happiness, he is approached by a man who urges him to go back home where his worried parents await. Convinced that no one loves him, Karun explains why he left and the man promises to take him somewhere he will be loved. Riding off on the man’s bike, Kashvi witnesses this and follows in her car. Meanwhile, Arjun discovers Karun’s letter and shows it to Mahima.
