Jhanak 1st May 2024 Written Update Jhanak’s bold reply. Anirudh speculates that the pandit may have tied the same colored thread to Jhanak as well. Curiosity gets the best of everyone as they begin questioning Jhanak. She calmly explains that the thread was a result of a puja she attended, and the pandit tied it on multiple individuals including herself and Anirudh. Arshi expresses her surprise at both of them having the same yellow thread, to which Anirudh nonchalantly replies that it’s not uncommon. This angers Arshi who then questions Anirudh about his presence at Jhanak’s shoot. Irritated, Anirudh reiterates that he has already informed her about it and questions why she is asking again.
Arshi then turns to Jhanak and demands for her to remove the thread. In response, Jhanak questions why she should be the only one asked to do so when even Anirudh is wearing it. A heated argument ensues between them until Shubh intervenes and advises them to stop arguing. However, Arshi persists and accuses Jhanak of always behaving rudely while threatening to remove their Mauli (thread). Defending herself, Jhanak warns her. They all request Jhanak to take off the Mauli. She in turn tells Anirudh to do it. He agrees, and removes the Mauli from his wrist, reminding them not to speak to her about it any further. Tanuja scolds Jhanak for taking away the sacred symbol. Defending herself, Jhanak argues with Arshi who shouts back at her. Arshi challenges her to prove her strength by removing the Mauli, now that Anirudh has removed his.
Jhanak stands firm and declares that while she may be helpless, she is not weak. She questions their beliefs and asserts that she will not remove the Mauli from her wrist. After Shrishti ends a call, Arshi inquires about the arrival of Bharat’s family. Shrishti reveals the tense situation at their place due to Tejas threatening him, adding that he is capable of anything. Concerned, Arshi shares her hope that Tejas does not win the upcoming elections or else their lives will become difficult. Shrishti then mentions the possibility of Tejas taking away Jhanak, as she is on his team. In defense of Anirudh, Arshi mentions an incident where Jhanak went to his room to ask for bank documents and he angrily threw them at her.
Remembering Jhanak’s claims, Arshi states that she might have done it. Shocked, Shrishti expresses her disbelief and accuses Jhanak of lying. Arshi clarifies that Jhanak had informed her about finding a Mauli around Anirudh’s wrist, which she was planning to remove since he wasn’t wearing it himself. However, upon further discussion, they both realize that Anirudh and Jhanak were together in his room. Feeling betrayed by their lies and deception, Shrishti warns Arshi about them.
Jhanak expresses her frustration to Anirudh, questioning his treatment of her and their relationship. Anirudh taunts Jhanak about Aditya, leading her to call out his disrespectful remarks and behavior. Anirudh insists that he is not Jhanak’s guardian, to which she responds by saying that no one else is either. She tells him to handle his own issues and inform the relevant parties. Jhanak then reminds Anirudh that he brought her here, so it is her duty to keep him informed since she works in his household. Anirudh questions whether he ever treated her like a housemaid, but Jhanak confesses that while he may not have done so directly, his actions often implied it. He belittles her, and in response, she retaliates with a sharp remark.
Anirudh and Jhanak continue to argue. While he insists that she should focus on her studies instead of worrying about her maid’s education, she reminds him to prioritize their marriage over everything else. Anirudh then questions if Aditya should be held responsible for her actions, but Jhanak takes full responsibility for her decisions. She also points out how being stuck in their current situation has made her feel demeaned and unvalued every day. As a result, she is torn between choosing self-respect or acknowledging his favors towards her. But once she regains control of her self-respect, she will not hesitate to leave the house permanently.
