Bhagya Lakshmi 17th January 2025 Written Update. The episode begins with Anushka shooting daggers at Shalu while the latter chats with Ayush. Anushka laments how her life was going smoothly until Shalu made her grand entrance and flipped her script. Oh, the drama!
Ayush, ever the perceptive one, senses that Shalu has something on her mind but doesn’t feel like spilling the beans. Shalu denies it, trying to keep her poker face intact. But let’s be real—her eyes tell a different story.
Meanwhile, Rishi plays cupid. Watching Ayush and Shalu’s awkward yet obvious tension, he decides it’s high time they get together. After all, Ayush has been his wingman in the past, so Rishi figures it’s payback time. Off he goes, hunting for Lakshmi to recruit her into his matchmaking mission.
On the other side of town, Kiran grills Malishka about her suspicious behavior. Malishka, who is practically a walking soap opera, confesses she’s been dodging people because someone might expose her little pregnancy secret to the Oberois. Garimacharya, specifically, is on her radar as a potential snitch. Kiran, ever the schemer, advises her to calm down before she outs herself. She proposes a plot involving Lakshmi and Shalu, enlisting Malishka and Varsha’s help. Oh, and a jeweler is thrown into the mix for good measure. Nothing says ‘diabolical plan’ like overpriced necklaces.
Rishi finally corners Lakshmi and pitches his genius idea of uniting Ayush and Shalu. Lakshmi, being the voice of reason in this circus, agrees to mediate and handle the lovebirds solo. What could possibly go wrong?
Kiran and Malishka rope in Varsha and meet the jeweler, who brings a necklace worth ₹9 lakhs. Kiran suggests they frame Lakshmi for stealing it, claiming she saw her snooping around Rishi’s locker. Malishka, never one to miss a chance at snooping herself, decides to investigate Lakshmi’s alleged locker rummaging. Hypocrisy, thy name is Malishka.
Lakshmi asks Rishi for specifics about her role in his love guru plan. Rishi lays it out: talk to Ayush and Shalu about their feelings because, apparently, Lakshmi is the only one they respect enough to listen to. Lakshmi, ever the dutiful one, takes on the task and leaves Rishi to his scheming.
The scene shifts to a dance sequence. Karishma nudges Ayush to join the festivities, and Harleen pulls Shalu onto the dance floor. Shalu, in turn, drags Lakshmi into the mix, and Ayush pulls Rishi in. Amidst all the spinning and twirling, Malishka watches, green with envy, as Rishi and Lakshmi share a moment. She attempts to cut in, but Shalu blocks her path, reminding her of her pregnancy and past injuries. The audacity! Neelam intervenes, questioning Shalu’s behavior, but Shalu defends herself before walking away triumphantly.
Noticing Malishka’s sour mood, Neelam inquires about the reason. Kiran steps in with a quick cover story, claiming Malishka is upset because she hasn’t performed a particular pregnancy ritual yet. Kiran elaborates that the ritual involves Neelam gifting Malishka an ancestral jewelry piece, a tradition passed down from Neelam’s mother. Neelam buys it and agrees to the ritual, completely unaware of the larger scheme at play.
Garimacharya, meanwhile, senses doom brewing in the air. She informs Jaya of her suspicion and decides to alert the Oberois about Lakshmi’s pregnancy, convinced they’re still in the dark about it. Her timing couldn’t be more dramatic.
Lakshmi ponders how to retrieve some reports from Rishi’s locker, adding to the layers of secrecy. Ayush confronts Shalu, asking her to be upfront about her feelings instead of bottling them up. Shalu, in a rare moment of vulnerability, confesses that Ayush’s mixed signals—making her feel special while planning to marry Anushka—have left her in a bind. She walks away, unsure of her place in his life.
Before Ayush can follow Shalu, Lakshmi intervenes, stopping him in his tracks. And with that, the tangled web of emotions, schemes, and misunderstandings continues to grow thicker.
