Deewaniyat 16th January 2025 Written Update Devnat’s Love Story begins. The episode opens with Mannat casually asking the servant about a pot that supposedly cools water. Because, of course, a cool pot can fix everything, right? The servant, playing along, explains its benefits, and Mannat, in her infinite wisdom, decides to place it in her room for some calming vibes. Nothing says ‘inner peace’ like a clay pot. Meanwhile, Dev gets wind of the fact that Mannat is in the storeroom and heads over to investigate. He asks her what she’s up to, and Mannat, with all the serenity of a zen master, claims she’s there to calm her mind. Dev, thankful for her explanation, is ready to move on but Mannat, selflessly, tells him to go spend time with Alisha. She even wipes her tears, adding a touch of drama for good measure.
But wait—just when you think it’s all peaceful, Dev wants to show Mannat a video. Mannat’s face lights up when she sees that Dev’s video has gone viral. Yes, people, viral fame achieved with the power of friendship and a random video. Mannat, full of wisdom and unsolicited advice, suggests Dev start his own poetry channel. Thank you, Mannat, for the career advice we didn’t ask for. Dev, grateful for the help, thanks her for making him an internet sensation. But just when everything seems rosy, the store room gate jams, trapping them inside. Naturally, Dev tries calling for help, but his phone is “unreachable.” So, they’re stuck. The dramatic tension rises like a sitcom plot, and Dev attempts to climb a table, only for it to collapse under his weight. Classic.
Mannat, the realist, tells him to calm down, while Dev, the problem solver, insists on jumping out the window like a superhero. Mannat, not impressed with his “Superman” act, taunts him, and Dev, never one to back down from a bromantic moment, reminds her of their deep-rooted friendship. Seriously, do they have a “friendship” bracelet or something? Anyway, Dev decides he’ll lift Mannat up so she can escape through the window. Mannat, probably afraid of heights or just doesn’t trust Dev’s strength, freaks out. After some dramatic back-and-forth, Dev lifts her, and surprise! The balance is thrown off, and Mannat falls into his arms. Naturally, they share an awkward romantic moment, where Mannat closes her eyes, and Dev asks her to open them. Romance or a public safety hazard? You decide. Meanwhile, Mannat’s chain gets caught on Dev’s button—because why not? It’s that kind of episode.
Just then, Mohan bursts in, and he’s clearly shocked by the sight of Dev and Mannat in such a compromising position. Mohan collides with Babita, and in the typical over-the-top manner, spills the beans about Dev and Mannat being in the storeroom. Babita, immediately jumps to conclusions and wonders what’s going to happen to Alisha. Meanwhile, Alisha, the eternal victim, waits for Dev. When he finally arrives, he’s furious. Dev yells at Alisha, blaming her for the harm caused to his mother, and though Alisha tries to play the blame game with Mannat, Dev stands firm, declaring his unwavering trust in Mannat. At this point, it’s like a sitcom punchline: “I trust Mannat more than you.” The tension is thick enough to cut with a knife as Dev, in an epic power move, warns Alisha to leave his house. Alisha, not to be outdone, calls Rudra and vents her frustrations. Rudra, not exactly the knight in shining armor, tells her to lower her voice—because that’s really the problem here.
In the meantime, Babita, ever the gossiper, tells Alisha all about the incident in the storeroom. Alisha, playing it cool (or pretending to), brushes it off, but Babita insists they were up to something that would make even Mohan blush. A slight exaggeration, but who’s counting? Babita, in a rare moment of honesty, calls Alisha useless and taunts her like an Olympic gold medalist. Alisha, naturally, isn’t one to let a little criticism slide. She declares herself a “big player” and promises to show Babita her moves soon. Well, Alisha, we’re all waiting with bated breath.
Later, Dev finds himself completely entranced by Mannat, unable to focus on his work. Ah, the classic ‘in love’ struggle. He attempts to write but can’t tear his eyes away from her, like a moth to a flame. He finally asks her what she’s doing, and she casually responds that she’s searching for her hair clips. Cue Dev’s confession that he thinks she’s even more beautiful with her hair down. Because, of course, nothing says “I like you” more than unsolicited beauty critiques. Mannat, playing along, lets her hair down, and Dev, clearly pleased with himself, continues the awkwardly adorable banter. As Dev encourages her to study and feel comfortable, it’s clear that the love story between Dev and Mannat is just beginning. One awkward, heartwarming moment at a time.
