Deewaniyat 23rd January 2025 Written Update Mannat’s efforts. The episode begins with Mannat telling Dev that he has given her the courage to fight, as if his pep talk has magical powers to solve all her problems. Dev, in full “knight in shining armor” mode, calls Mannat brave, which is ironic considering she’s shivering and literally stuffing her hands inside his jacket for warmth. A moment of romance or just pure awkwardness? You decide. Anyway, Satpal finally shows up, and the duo hops into the car to continue their drama marathon.
Back at home, Dev delivers a bombshell by calling everyone together to drop the “Alisha’s leaving” announcement. Alisha, shocked and indignant, flails around trying to stop him, but Dev is in full savage mode. He tells Sakshi that Alisha caused trouble and hurt Mannat. Mannat, with her righteous fury dialed up to 100, assumes Alisha made the blackmail video and starts fuming. Dev, ever the drama king, produces Alisha’s ring as evidence, complete with her name engraved on it, like this is a courtroom drama. Alisha’s attempt to deny it is hilariously futile. Dev shuts her down, revealing he saw her at the crime scene and caught her red-handed (well, ring-handed).
Jaydeep, looking utterly lost, asks Dev about the “plan,” because apparently, no one bothers to explain anything in this family. Mannat spills the tea about Alisha’s blackmailing scheme, while Alisha, in a last-ditch effort, brings up the old “medicine exchange” scandal as a deflection. Mannat calls her out for being shameless, which is rich considering how much drama this household thrives on. Sakshi’s internal monologue labels Alisha as stupid, because, of course, Captain Obvious has to weigh in.
Alisha tries to reason with Dev, but he’s not having any of it. She even pulls the classic “but I love you!” card, which Dev dismisses with a cold “Mannat is my wife, and she has the right to me.” Ouch. Dev twists the knife further, telling Alisha she should be grateful Mannat didn’t file a police complaint. In a moment of accidental honesty, Alisha lets slip that Rudra was behind the plan, but she quickly backpedals and takes all the blame herself. A rare moment of loyalty, or just plain stupidity? You decide.
Sakshi finally speaks up, declaring that Alisha has no right to stay in their house and that she doesn’t want a daughter-in-law like her. Jaydeep, trying to salvage the situation, praises Dev for handling it, but Dev redirects the credit to Mannat because, apparently, she’s the family savior now. Dev, never one to miss a dramatic exit, drags Alisha out with her luggage and tosses her out of the house. Alisha, predictably furious, curses Dev and Mannat before storming off. Because what’s an episode without a good curse to set up future drama?
Later, Dev is back to playing the perfect husband, applying ointment to Mannat’s hand and basking in her gratitude. Mannat thanks him for always helping her, and the two share a hug, because nothing says “romantic moment” like post-drama exhaustion. Mannat even praises his companionship, which feels like a forced line thrown in by the writers to soften Dev’s otherwise bland character. She notes that Sakshi is upset because Alisha was her favorite. Honestly, Sakshi’s taste in favorites could use some work.
Mannat tries to convince Sakshi to accept her, but Sakshi isn’t having it. Dev tries to intervene, but honestly, at this point, even his efforts seem futile. Stay tuned for more recycled drama and over-the-top emotions.
