Balaji Telefilms’ upcoming Sony TV show, which has already been making headlines for all the wrong reasons, is back in the spotlight! This time, it’s not because of lead replacements or production delays (well, not entirely). Actor Nitin Bhatia, last seen in Dharampatnii, has officially joined the cast. Because clearly, what this show needed was yet another character to add to its ever-growing roster. 🙄
In case you missed the memo, the show has been stuck in development limbo for what feels like an eternity. Originally slated to star Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi, the dream of a Yeh Hai Mohabbatein reunion was crushed faster than you can say “Balaji.” Now, the reins have been handed to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai alumni Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi. Because if one magical jodi can’t save the show, let’s just try another. 🤷♀️
But wait, it gets better (or worse). With the show’s endless delays, the production team has been working “crisp and fast” (their words, not ours) to get things rolling. And by that, they mean announcing new cast members every week. We’ve already seen names like Divyangana Jain, Rishi Deshmukh, and Mansi Srivastava attached to the project. Now, Nitin Bhatia is here to play the “bestie” of both leads. Stylish? Sure. Necessary? Debatable. 🙃
Let’s not forget that Nitin is no stranger to Balaji shows, having graced the likes of Naagin 6, Yeh Hai Chahatein, and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3. But let’s face it—being the “bestie” in a Balaji show means one of two things: endless emotional pep talks or being sidelined faster than you can blink. Stylish or not, we hope Nitin’s character brings something more to the table than just generic advice and brooding stares. 🕶️
Oh, and in true industry fashion, the production team remains tight-lipped about any actual details. When buzzed, Nitin didn’t respond—because why confirm anything when you can let speculation run wild? And as for the channel spokesperson? Crickets. Looks like this story is running on fumes of “reliable sources” and wishful thinking. 🤔
At this point, the show feels more like a revolving door of actors than an actual production. Will it ever hit the floor? Will Harshad and Shivangi’s pairing work its magic?
