YRKKH 10th April 2025 Written Update: More Twists Coming. Today in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai written update, Abhira tries to distract herself, bless her heart, but ends up spiraling anyway. She asks Akshara to have a little chat with God — you know, the classic “Why me?” routine — wondering why He had to take both her and Shivani. Just when she’s trying to grieve in peace, enter Vidya with her agenda. She reminds Abhira that she still has a mother, aka herself (subtle flex, Vidya). And oh — could Abhira also convince Armaan to carry the Poddar firm’s grand legacy on his already exhausted shoulders? Because apparently, she’s outsourcing emotional labor and career negotiations now.
Abhira, very politely, says she can’t force Armaan to join the firm. But Vidya, not one to drop a topic, comes back with, “Don’t you want Armaan’s career to grow?” Ma’am. The man’s career is already thriving. He’s not jobless; he just doesn’t want to be your family firm’s next puppet. Vidya remains stubborn, convinced that Armaan will one day wake up and magically want to rejoin the Poddar circus.
Meanwhile, in a different corner of the Poddar palace, Sanjay — ever the opportunist — suggests to Kaveri that she should include Armaan and Abhira’s baby in the will. Kaveri, without even blinking, shuts that idea down faster than a popup ad. She’s not here for babies, feelings, or anything remotely wholesome. Sanjay, trying to sprinkle some humanity into the situation, says she’ll melt when she sees the baby. Kaveri? Unbothered. She’s convinced Armaan and Abhira will peace out after the baby’s born, and honestly, who could blame them? When Sanjay asks what if they don’t leave, she still refuses to budge. “You worry about the firm. I’ll handle the family,” she says, basically running the Poddars like a one-woman boardroom.
Abhira, meanwhile, is emotionally wrecked. Armaan confronts her, trying to understand what’s really going on. She confesses she’s unsure about trusting Ruhi with the whole surrogacy responsibility. And here comes Ruhi, full dramatic entrance, asking Abhira if she thinks she’s weak. Girl, this is not a self-help seminar. But she’s determined — says the baby is her connection to Rohit and she’s going to bring this child into the world, with or without his support.
Abhira tries to reason with her, pointing out that she only agreed to this because Rohit was by her side. But Ruhi? She’s gone full solo warrior mode. She says she doesn’t need Rohit now — all she wants is Abhira and Armaan’s support. No turning back. She’s already rehearsing her big dramatic monologue in front of the mirror.
Finally, the three of them — Abhira, Armaan, and Ruhi — decide to bury the drama (for now) and talk it out like semi-functioning adults. They promise to support each other. Cue group hug and the background music swelling.
Later, Armaan notices Abhira isn’t going to work and, being the observant husband, actually asks about it. She admits her new job was trial-based and she got fired for not joining immediately. Ouch. Armaan feels guilty, but Abhira — real MVP energy — tells him to stop playing the guilt game and focus on his own career.
But the moment’s barely passed before Vidya jumps in again like a pop quiz. “Why should Armaan be a businessman when he’s such a great lawyer?” she demands. Ma’am, maybe because he doesn’t want to spend every waking minute tangled in Poddar family drama? But no, Vidya’s on a mission. She insists he’s wasting his talent. Honestly, let the man breathe.
Armaan, finally done with sugar-coating, lets it rip. He calls out Kaveri for never respecting Shivani and says things only got worse after her death. He labels Kaveri selfish — not wrong, honestly. Madhav, having had enough, finally delivers some long-overdue truth bombs. He reminds everyone that the firm originally belonged to his father. He doesn’t hold back and gives Kaveri a much-needed verbal smackdown. And then — shock of shocks — Kaveri flips. She now wants Armaan back in the firm. The woman who practically slammed the door in his face is now holding it open like a hostess at a wedding. Armaan and Abhira are left standing there, faces full of question marks.
Vidya pulls out Rohit’s lawyer suit and practically shoves it at Armaan. She wants him to step into Rohit’s shoes, quite literally. Abhira watches from the sidelines thinking, “Is this a courtroom or a costume party?” She doesn’t like Vidya guilt-tripping Armaan into being someone he’s not.
