Anupama 17th May 2025 Written Update: Anupama Stands Her Ground. Tensions Rise as Anupama Stands Her Ground and Mahi’s Wedding Sparks Chaos
The episode opens on a tense note with Parag attempting to mend broken ties with Vasundhara. He tries to speak with her, hoping to clear the air, but she turns her back on him—cold and unforgiving. Khyati, ever the peacekeeper, assures Parag that she’ll try convincing Vasundhara. Parag, overwhelmed, shifts the blame onto Anupama and justifies that he changed the wedding decision solely for Aryan’s happiness. Aryan, sincere and remorseful, promises Parag he won’t make any more mistakes. Despite the emotional overload, Parag asks Khyati to begin wedding preparations by coordinating with Vasundhara. But Khyati is hesitant—Vasundhara’s anger still looms large.
Meanwhile, Raghav casually asks Anupama about Mahi and Aryan. Anupama gives a calm and assuring reply: things are sorted. Just as peace begins to settle, Ketan takes the opportunity to flirt with Anupama, only to be cut off by Raghav’s well-timed interruption. Ketan walks away, and what follows is a shared moment of laughter between Raghav and Anupama—a rare, light-hearted relief in their otherwise drama-filled lives.
Elsewhere, Prem is glowing with happiness, believing Parag has finally accepted Aryan and Mahi’s marriage. With the air of celebration returning, Rahi starts prepping for the wedding, her excitement contagious. She and Prem share a heartfelt moment, soaking in the joy of the upcoming union.
Anupama, always perceptive, makes a cheeky remark that people are mad—caught up in their egos and emotions. Raghav asks her if it’s hard working around someone like Ketan. Anupama, candid as ever, says she used to get irritated, but now things are easier with Raghav around. That one statement strikes a chord, and Raghav promises to always stand by her. Anupama then gives him and Jhanki the reins to the kitchen, as she gears up to be fully occupied with Mahi and Aryan’s wedding.
But Raghav’s mood turns somber when he hears about the wedding. Anupama tries to pacify him by explaining that Parag was clueless about Vasundhara and Pankhuri’s secret schemes. Raghav, though, doesn’t trust Vasundhara. He goes so far as to call her “zehreeli” (poisonous), but Anupama isn’t ready to buy into that bitterness. Her goodness blinds her from seeing the malice in others, and Raghav points that out with gentle frustration.
At the Kothari home, Meeta and Anil bicker over Mahi and Aryan’s wedding. Vasundhara puts an end to their argument but remains worried, skeptical about Mahi’s intentions. Anil tries to comfort her, but Vasundhara, firm as ever, decides that the wedding will take place—but only under her strict rules and conditions.
Back with Anupama and Raghav, the emotional tug-of-war continues. Raghav feels Anupama is doing too much for Aryan and believes Kavya is responsible for Anupama’s broken home. Anupama defends Kavya, insisting Vanraj was more at fault. She acknowledges that Kavya changed with time and believes Mahi shouldn’t pay the price for her mother’s mistakes. Her focus remains fixed on Mahi’s happiness.
In another track, Prarthana secretly meets with a lawyer. She’s made up her mind—she wants to divorce Gautam before she leaves for London. She requests the matter be kept confidential. The storm inside her is brewing silently.
Anupama later sits with Mahi, who opens up to her with honesty. She admits she misses Kavya deeply. What began as a selfish choice—marrying Aryan—has evolved into true love, thanks to Aryan’s unwavering support. Mahi asks Anupama to trust her, and Anupama, moved by her vulnerability, agrees to take the reins of wedding planning.
The Shahs and the Kotharis finally gather for a wedding discussion. Vasundhara insists on a simple ceremony. But things take an awkward turn when Vasundhara and Parag see Raghav among the guests. Their expressions shift instantly. Vasundhara, unimpressed and visibly bothered, demands that Anupama keep Raghav away from the wedding functions. Anupama, calm but firm, refuses—Raghav is like family, and she won’t turn him away.
In a bizarre twist, Raja zones out and imagines himself marrying Ishani, sending shockwaves through both the Shahs and the Kotharis. His daydream turns into a moment of comic embarrassment as he fears the repercussions from his family. Meanwhile, Vasundhara announces that the mehendi and haldi rituals should begin soon.
Behind the scenes, Parag warns Ansh to stay out of Prarthana and Gautam’s matters, but Ansh brushes off the accusation, claiming he’s uninvolved. Rahi reminds Raghav to keep his emotions in check, while Anupama apologizes to him on behalf of the Kotharis.
Wedding prep goes into full swing. Khyati and Meeta join forces, determined to make it special. Khyati hopes that Aryan, Prem, and Prarthana all find happiness, while Meeta quietly points out that Prarthana doesn’t look happy. Khyati hopes Prarthana will find her voice. Meanwhile, Prarthana is quietly preparing to take control of her life—divorce is her next step.
Elsewhere, Paritosh discusses a kitchen contract that could last three years. Anupama expresses her gratitude to Raghav for helping make it happen. Back at the Shah house, Leela tells everyone it’s time to kickstart wedding preparations for Mahi.
