Bade Acche Lagte Hai 20th June 2025 Written Update: Pineapple Rings & Red Flags – Bhagyashree’s Soggy Love Story
The episode kicks off with Nitya being Vikram’s personal PR agent, singing his praises in front of Bhagyashree. According to her, Vikram’s basically a knight in shining armor — if only Bhagyashree could see the “armor” was probably from Sarojini Nagar and held together with lies. Meanwhile, Sunny and Rishabh arrive. Rishabh does the decent thing — thanks Bhagyashree for helping him get a job — and exits like a gentleman.
Now begins the carpool chaos. Vikram offers a lift to the ladies, and Nitya mentions they need to visit the market. But instead of giving all three a ride, Vikram whisks away only Bhagyashree. Coincidence? Not really. More like calculated chivalry. Nitya and Sonia are left behind to take the “commoners’” route.
Cut to Rishabh, who tells Nattu that he’ll finally pay his rent. Nattu, forever the neighborhood snark master, throws shade instead of sympathy. He introduces his niece Shaina — fiancé in tow — who’ll now be crashing at his place. This means eviction time for Rishabh, with only a seven-day deadline. Rishabh pleads, now that he’s employed, but Nattu treats him like a defaulting loan customer on Diwali.
At Bhagyashree’s house, Vikram does his best “sanskari guy” act, even opening the car door for her. But the real judge arrives — Kaddu the dog. Kaddu barks at Vikram like he just sniffed out a fraud. Vikram admits he’s not a dog person and leaves — already a red flag. Dogs know.
The next day, Bhagyashree shares her doubts with Nitya and Sonia. Kaddu’s behavior left her rattled. But Nitya, being forever team-Vikram, tells her not to overthink and reminds her about marrying for her dad Vinay’s sake — because apparently, love comes second to family reputation.
Then comes the mysterious pineapple cake. Bhagyashree finds it on her desk and instantly calls Rishabh like he’s Zomato support. He confirms it’s not from him and removes it. Enter Vikram, who dramatically asks where the pineapple is, only to panic when she says she ate it. Vikram looks like he just lost an auction on eBay.
Turns out, he had hidden a ring in the cake. Who proposes with food that people can accidentally eat? Is this a love story or a dental emergency? Rishabh, thankfully, clarifies that the cake’s untouched, saving Bhagyashree from an ER visit. Vikram retrieves the ring and awkwardly tries to propose at work but plays it off like, “Oh no, you’re right, this is too professional a setting,” while clutching a ring like Gollum.
Later, Bhagyashree receives a call from Padma (possibly the nosiest relative on Earth), who wants to speak to her “son-in-law.” Vikram snatches the phone, charms her like he’s running for Delhi CM, and Bhagyashree thanks him for the smooth handling.
At the office conference, Vikram and Bhagyashree present their campaign like the perfect duo and win the contract. They even get a salary hike — apparently, pretending to be a decent human is profitable. As everyone clears the room, Vikram sees it as the perfect time for Round 2 of the proposal.
This time, he shows her the ring again and places it on her finger, all while saying he wants to turn their professional team into a personal one. Bhagyashree looks touched… and then runs to the washroom. Either she’s crying from emotion, or the ghost of Kaddu’s warning bark is ringing in her ears.
Inside the washroom, she calls Nitya and recounts the entire proposal saga. Rishabh, lurking nearby, overhears it all. Bhagyashree asks Nitya for advice, who gives her the classic line: “Follow your heart” — which in TV land means “ignore the giant flashing red flags.”
Then comes the rom-com rain scene. Bhagyashree says she should’ve brought an umbrella. Rishabh, trying to be poetic, says, “If you fear the rain, how will you enjoy it?” Okay, Shah Rukh Khan, calm down.
Vikram later asks Bhagyashree for her answer. She says yes. Yup. She says yes after the barking dog, the cake panic, the ring confusion, and her own gut feelings. Sigh.
Vikram drops Rishabh home and drives off with Bhagyashree like he’s won the jackpot. But karma is warming up in the background. Rishabh overhears Shaina telling Nattu that her fiancé — the West Zone Head — proposed with a ring from his grandmother. Ring? Grandmother? Fiancé?
Cue the gasp: Rishabh sees a photo of Shaina with Vikram on her phone. Boom. Plot twist delivered, episode style. Shaina heads inside with Nattu, leaving behind a stunned Rishabh and a storm brewing.
Precap: Rishabh decides it’s time to pull the curtain back and expose Vikram for the double-timer he is.
Episode Review:
This episode was a rollercoaster of cringy proposals, misread signs, and dogs with better instincts than half the human characters. Vikram’s attempt to hide a ring in a cake was peak 90s rom-com energy — except it’s 2025 and everyone knows better than to mix jewellery with dessert.
Bhagyashree continues to live in a bubble where “nice gestures” override intuition and doggy warnings. Rishabh, the moral compass of the show, is inching closer to finally being more than the side character with soulful expressions.
Nattu, as always, serves sarcasm and tea — and we’re here for it.
The story’s pacing was solid, the twists landed well, and the emotional beats were engaging. But girl, if a man hides a ring in food and dogs hate him, run.
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Decent drama, cute chaos, and a satisfying twist. Now let’s see Bhagyashree wake up and smell the betrayal.
