Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein 20th June 2025 Written Update: Games & Guilt-Trips – When the Pooja Turns into a Plot Twist

Ah, nothing screams festive spirit like betrayal, manipulation, and a surprise scandal during a Ganapati pooja. This episode starts off innocently, but by the end, it crashes harder than Srichand’s moral compass.

So we open with Savi giving credit where it’s due—she announces to the family that Neil saved Ridhi. Naturally, Srichand puts on his “generous patriarch” face and says they should invite Neil and fam to the Ganapati pooja as a thank-you. Bhagyashree, ever the vibe-killer, protests like it’s a crime to show gratitude, but Srichand sweet-talks her into it.

Over at Neil’s place, he’s being the stubborn hero, refusing to rest despite being injured. Yash tries to get him to chill, but Neil is on a mission—he’s determined to visit the kidnapping site and track down clues related to Teju’s murder. Then ding ding, a call from Srichand comes in via Sai’s phone. Neil, naturally, refuses the pooja invite. But Srichand isn’t playing checkers—he’s playing emotional chess.

He hands the phone to Sai, who goes full filmy and tells Neil he better show up or she’ll stop talking to him. And boom—Neil folds. Manipulation, 1. Boundaries, 0. Srichand’s plan is already in motion.

Then comes the genius move—he asks Sai to invite Neil’s entire family too. Talk about going all in. Leena, charmed by Sai’s sweet voice, accepts. Srichand’s backup plan is no longer a backup. It’s about to be the main act.

Of course, Bhagyashree and Tara are fuming. They sense something’s off. Srichand waves them off with his trademark smirk and mutters under his breath about his master plan to finally break Savi and Neil apart. You know, just festive things.

Evening arrives, and so do Neil and his family, dressed for blessings and (unknowingly) for scandal. Sai greets Neil with the card she made, calling him her “superhero” like it’s a Marvel crossover. Neil introduces her to his family. All seems sweet… until Bhushan drops a snark grenade about Savi. Neil tells everyone to cool it. Leena, holding the “we’re trying for Neil’s sake” badge, says she’ll try to let go of the past. Spoiler: She won’t.

Sai, seeing this sudden flood of relatives, casually dreams out loud about building her own big family. When Leena asks how, Sai says Neil is already like family, and soon the rest will be too. This triggers Bhagyashree and Tara faster than a landmine. They basically tell Sai to stop daydreaming before she gets too comfortable.

Meanwhile, Ridhi’s daydreaming too—about Maruti—after Bhagyashree jokes about her getting married and gaining another uncle. Weirdly cryptic but okay.

Srichand arrives and gives a dramatic backstory about the temple being his father’s legacy. Bhagyashree, still publicly supportive despite her internal skepticism, praises the effort. Then he hands out pooja duties: first Ridhi (since she survived danger), then Savi, whom he deliberately pairs with Neil and Sai. The audience cringes in unison.

During the pooja, Neil silently wishes for Sai’s happiness and justice for Teju, while Savi asks the universe for justice for Rajat. The family simmers. Srichand smirks. His trap is set. Everyone’s praying… but not to the same gods.

Then, BOOM.

Precap Preview:

Festivities take a dark detour as a scandalous video of Neil and Savi kissing plays on screen—in front of both families, no less. Cue complete meltdown.

Bhagyashree, Tara, and Leena lose it. And by “lose it”, we mean they roast Savi like she just committed a capital sin. Bhagyashree declares she’s taking Sai and Kian away. Leena goes for the jugular, accusing Savi of using her kids as bait to trap Neil into playing daddy.

Ganapati must be wondering why he got invited to this pooja.

Let’s just say, next episode: tears, gasps, slaps (probably), and major trust issues.
