Well, the latest episode of Jhanak is nothing short of a dramatic rollercoaster with generous scoops of societal hypocrisy, forced marriages, fiery comebacks, and helpless modern heroes being dragged into “gaon ke kanoon”.

However, the episode also makes you wonder: is this the direction we want for Jhanak? Marrying a man who doesn’t love her, trapped in a village rulebook? We can only hope the makers give her a better arc than just playing the sacrificial bride.
