Jhanak 22nd June 2025 Written Update: 7 Shocking Turns as Jhanak Marries Rishi. What happens when an independent firecracker like Jhanak lands in the middle of a panchayat-driven mess and ends up marrying a city boy against all odds? Well, the latest episode of Jhanak is nothing short of a dramatic rollercoaster with generous scoops of societal hypocrisy, forced marriages, fiery comebacks, and helpless modern heroes being dragged into “gaon ke kanoon”.
1. Rishi Tries to Be a Gentleman, Jhanak Is Not Having It
The episode begins with Rishi thanking Jhanak for helping him and even offering her money. Of course, our outspoken queen Jhanak isn’t the type to accept cash for kindness. She hits back, saying that one day she’ll be a minister—talk about ambition in the middle of madness. Rishi takes her lightly, and she claps back with sass. Jhanak has always had the last word, and today is no different.
2. Village Men Drag Rishi, Jhanak Fights Them Off
As if the situation wasn’t wild already, Dhamu and the village men arrive, furious that Jhanak helped Rishi escape. She tries to defend him, claiming his innocence, but these villagers? Logic doesn’t work on them. They drag Rishi off while yelling about village rules like they’re the Constitution.
Mangal questions how Jhanak could dare go against the village for Rishi. Apparently, standing up for someone who’s not guilty is now a crime. Good to know.
3. Nutan Gets Roasted by the Panchayat
Back at home, Dhamu accuses Nutan of betrayal. Mangal joins the roast session, attacking Nutan for sending Jhanak out at night. The whole village is losing its collective mind, but Nutan gives it back—finally. When Veer declares that the marriage will happen today, Rishi puts his foot down and says he won’t marry under pressure. And Nutan, for once, stands by Jhanak’s decision.
4. Bua Spits Venom, Jhanak Shuts Her Up
Just when you think it can’t get more toxic, Bua calls Jhanak illegitimate and accuses her of trapping Rishi. Excuse you, Bua! Jhanak slaps her with a fiery speech defending her mother, Nutan. This girl doesn’t let anyone mess with her or her family’s dignity. Respect.
5. Rishi’s Family Starts Panicking
Meanwhile, in the city, Aditi senses something is wrong. Rishi’s not answering calls, and even the DIG can’t be reached. Abhimanyu tries to calm things down, but Aditi’s sixth sense is kicking in hard. And when the DIG finally calls back with a fake “Rishi is safe” update, it’s clear they’re trying to buy time. Aditi isn’t fooled.
6. Forced Wedding Incoming: Rishi Loses It
Back in the village, Rishi lashes out at Jhanak for being part of the chaos. She coolly responds that it’s going to be a film-style fake marriage. Rishi, already at his wit’s end, flips out—rightfully so. He tells everyone this circus is ruining three lives. But the village? It’s in full wedding mode. Nobody cares about logic.
Jhanak, for her part, accepts the marriage proposal like she’s ticking off a life goal. Mangal and Kanka cheer her on, while Rishi is locked in the emotional equivalent of a hostage crisis.
7. Parallel Drama: Ishani vs Pihu
Meanwhile, the show jumps tracks to bring in Ishani and Pihu’s brewing drama. Ishani, playing the overbearing guardian, ends up accusing Jeet of something shady. Pihu shuts her down. There’s shouting, judging, and plenty of awkward tension. At this point, even the side plots have more drama than a typical Bollywood climax.
Precap Punch: Jhanak Marries Rishi
Yes, the unthinkable happens. Jhanak and Rishi tie the knot while Nutan prays he’ll eventually accept her daughter. It’s a compromise marriage born out of outdated customs and misunderstandings—but the damage is done.
Review:
This episode served full drama with zero breathing space. Jhanak continues to shine as a fierce character who doesn’t let anyone define her worth. Rishi, though relatable, is helpless in the face of village pressure. The show deserves credit for reflecting societal double standards—women get blamed for every move, while the men walk around clueless and protected.
However, the episode also makes you wonder: is this the direction we want for Jhanak? Marrying a man who doesn’t love her, trapped in a village rulebook? We can only hope the makers give her a better arc than just playing the sacrificial bride.
Rating: 3.5/5 – for the performances and plot intensity, minus points for pushing regressive tropes.
