Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 29th June 2025 Written Update: Armaan’s Truth Burden, Abhira’s Rising Strength, Geetanjali’s Surprise Entry!
The episode opens with Armaan drowning in his guilt ocean. Poor fellow is carrying the heavyweight truth that Abhira’s beloved Maira/Pookie is alive and living with him, while Abhira still thinks she lost her child. Imagine the emotional hurricane inside him – wanting to come clean but terrified of the consequences.
Just when Armaan’s brain is swirling with confession ideas, Dadu video calls him. Dadu’s face screams ‘something happened’ even before words arrive. He shows Armaan a video of Geetanjali and Maira getting into a full-blown street fight with a random woman and her kid. Turns out, the lady’s vehicle brushed against Maira, and the child shoved her during the argument. Typical roadside tamasha with bonus family drama.
Armaan tries to calm down Maira, who’s fuming like a dragon protecting her mother Geetanjali. Geetanjali snaps back that Maira is her responsibility, subtly implying Armaan’s parenting credibility is zero. The drama ends with the woman and child apologising, Dadu hanging up, and Armaan left staring blankly at his life choices.
His guilt hits peak. He decides it’s time to tell Abhira the truth, but the moment he thinks about Maira seeing Geetanjali as her mother, he chickens out again. Classic Armaan – brave only in dreams.
He starts packing his bags. Abhira, noticing his sudden urge to leave, requests him to stay at least until her mother’s surgery finishes. Armaan, with his ‘I must be noble’ expression, confesses that he can’t stay because he made a mistake seven years ago. Abhira senses something fishy and directly asks if his urgency is because of another woman. Armaan confirms that Maira is now part of his life. That sentence must have stabbed Abhira’s heart, but she masks it with her classic savage calm and remarks at least he thinks about ‘that girl’. Ouch. Armaan leaves, holding his guilt baggage tight.
Elsewhere in the house, Kajal and Manisha send food for Vidya. Krish sarcastically reminds them how Armaan humiliated him, so why bother. Kiara walks in like the gossip queen and drops the bomb that Armaan and Abhira are divorced, thanks to Dadi’s loose lips. The family processes this gossip with their signature stunned expressions.
Later, Abhira and Kaveri bring Vidya home post-surgery. Vidya, still in her own happy lala land, asks for Armaan, expecting a surprise from him. Kaveri tries distracting her by mentioning Kajal and Manisha’s food delivery. Vidya fears Armaan has left her again, but in true hero style, Armaan arrives just in time with earbuds as a gift. Vidya, relieved, says she’s glad he didn’t leave. Abhira, standing nearby with tears in her eyes, thinks about how someone reminded her not to break more hearts, as she’s already broken enough.
Duty calls for Abhira as she receives a work call, but she declines to go. Vidya, Kaveri, and Armaan encourage her to leave. She finally does, placing her phone on the table.
Right then, Geetanjali enters the scene like a surprise quiz in a chilled classroom. Armaan is shocked to see her and asks why she’s here and whether she left Maira alone. Geetanjali remains silent, radiating mysterious energy. Vidya hears a voice and inquires who arrived. Kaveri spots Geetanjali and looks at her like a mother-in-law evaluating a rishta candidate.
Geetanjali confidently takes Vidya’s blessings and introduces herself, assuming Armaan has already spoken about her. Kaveri, savage as always, says he hasn’t. Armaan hesitantly introduces Geetanjali as his fiancée. Kaveri, with her sarcasm sword, wishes them a long life together far away from her house.
Geetanjali offers sweets to Kaveri, correcting her word from ‘Maa’ to ‘Aunty’, showing her adjusting nature. Vidya asks about Maira, and Geetanjali lies that she’s away on a school trip.
Meanwhile, Anshuman calls Abhira, irritated that she hasn’t been answering his calls or updating him about Vidya’s surgery. He lightens the conversation by joking about her reading legal papers intensely before apologising for the insensitive humour.
Back home, Armaan scolds Geetanjali for sending Maira on a school trip without informing him. Geetanjali counters that Dadu is with Maira, so he can relax. She mentions she came only out of concern for his mother, hinting at her silent affection.
Vidya, overhearing their conversation, declares to Kaveri that she will never accept Geetanjali as her daughter-in-law. Kaveri replies with a resigned sigh that Armaan is the root of all problems, not Geetanjali.
On the other side, Abhira questions Anshuman’s early return. He says he missed her and didn’t want her to handle Vidya’s surgery alone. She shifts the conversation to professional topics to avoid vulnerability, but Anshuman stays in his sweet zone, insisting on being by her side through every storm.
Armaan, realising his tone was harsh, apologises to Geetanjali and thanks her for the sweets. Geetanjali brushes off the formality, praising the house decor. She notices a lawyer’s coat and wonders who in this family is a lawyer, knowing everyone runs businesses.
Back to Abhira and Anshuman – she quizzes his decision to stay involved in her messy life. Anshuman softly says he wants to witness her life closely before deciding if he can adjust. The man has no fear of complexity; he’s only scared of losing her.
Finally, Kaveri scolds Armaan for dragging Geetanjali to the house without thinking about Abhira’s emotions. Armaan pleads guilty. Kaveri warns him to at least think about Geetanjali’s feelings, as seeing his first wife might hurt her deeply. Geetanjali overhears this, drops the glass she was holding, and stands there – silent and shattered.
The episode ends with a calm scene of Abhira and Anshuman riding a bicycle back to her house. The silence between them says more than words ever can.

This episode was an emotional tornado. Armaan’s character continues to drown in guilt, still unable to confess the truth he owes Abhira. Abhira, on the other hand, shines with quiet strength, pain masked under her lawyerly dignity. Geetanjali’s entry adds the perfect spice – her composed exterior hides her insecurity well. Anshuman continues to be the stable anchor in Abhira’s chaotic sea, making viewers root for him silently.
But honestly, Armaan deserves a gold medal in emotional foolishness for delaying the truth bombs and creating bigger messes each day. Let’s see if tomorrow he grows a spine, or continues his guilt-soaked marathon.
