Udne Ki Aasha 9th July 2025 Written Update: The Kleptomaniac Maid. Today in Udne Ki Aasha: Manjiri The Kleptomaniac Maid & Deshmukh Family’s Unexpected Mercy. The episode begins with a classic ITV twist – the sweet, innocent-looking maid Manjiri turns out to be a sneaky thief. She stealthily steals an expensive headphone from Roshni’s room, and honestly, her guts deserve a slow clap. First, she wins over everyone with her bechari act, and then like a pro thief, she begins her mission.
The next morning, Tejas loses his calm when he doesn’t find his precious headphones. The man behaves as if someone stole his kidneys instead. He immediately starts screaming and blaming Manjiri. But Sayali and Sachin, who are still under Manjiri’s sweet spell, jump in to protect her. After all, just yesterday she was proven innocent – the poor woman couldn’t possibly steal, right?
Wrong.
One by one, Manjiri’s sticky fingers find their way to several household items in the Deshmukh mansion. Her technique is so professional that catching her red-handed is near impossible. She takes things away with the grace of a ballerina and the stealth of a jungle cat, leaving everyone clueless about her true intentions.
At night, Sachin discusses his suspicions with Sayali. He feels something is fishy about this maid who carries an aura of mystery around her. But Sayali, the ever-compassionate heart, brushes off his doubts. Sachin, unable to shake off his gut feeling, tries to sleep but his mind keeps replaying Manjiri’s suspicious behaviour.
The next morning, Sachin decides to become Sherlock Holmes. He keeps a hawk’s eye on Manjiri as she flutters around the house doing her chores. Sayali notices her husband’s restless spying and asks him to relax. Meanwhile, Tejas, who has zero chill, bans Manjiri from entering his room, calling her a thief outright. He claims he doesn’t want to lose anything else because of a servant. Tejas, of course, is that one family member who spits out the truth before everyone’s ready to hear it.
That same day, Manjiri targets her next loot – an old mobile phone from Riya’s room. But here’s where her overconfidence betrays her. Sayali, still trusting Manjiri, takes her along to search Riya’s room. Manjiri pretends to help but slips up by revealing the colour of the missing phone, which Sayali never told her. Sayali’s mind immediately clicks. She exposes Manjiri’s crime then and there, shocking everyone.
Manjiri, caught red-handed with all the stolen items, falls to Sayali’s feet, begging for mercy. She pleads for another chance, tears streaming down her face, but Sayali stands firm. She orders her to leave before they are forced to call the police. Sachin watches as Sayali’s eyes well up with disappointment. They had considered Manjiri a part of their family, and her betrayal breaks Sayali’s heart. Sachin consoles his wife, gently reminding her that not all humans are the same and she must not lose her faith in humanity because of one rotten apple.
But if viewers thought the drama was over, they were wrong.
Before dinner, Manjiri walks right back into the Deshmukh house like nothing happened. Sayali’s eyes widen with anger and disbelief. The woman she trusted, the woman who broke her heart, is back under the same roof. Sayali’s rage boils over as she questions what Manjiri is doing there after such a humiliating exit.
Manjiri, desperate and trembling, folds her hands and begs them to hear her out one last time. Her tears flow like a waterfall as she pours out her miseries. Riya and Sachin look on, caught between confusion and pity. Finally, Sayali’s soft heart takes over her logical mind. She forgives Manjiri, giving her a chance to redeem herself and prove she isn’t entirely immoral.
Udne Ki Aasha 9th July 2025 Written Update Review
This episode of Udne Ki Aasha was an emotional roller coaster sprinkled with the classic ITV seasoning – dramatic theft, baseless trust, guilty tears, and sudden forgiveness. Manjiri’s character is a perfect example of how television loves glorifying tears over accountability. One day she’s exposed as a kleptomaniac maid, and the next she’s welcomed back with open arms. Honestly, if life were this easy, half the jails would be empty.
Sayali’s compassion is admirable, but her blind forgiveness can become her biggest flaw. Sachin, on the other hand, emerges as the realistic husband who observes, doubts, and worries for his family’s safety. Tejas deserves an honorary mention for being the unfiltered truth bomb no one asked for but everyone needed.
The highlight of the episode was Manjiri’s ‘caught red-handed’ moment. Watching her transformation from sweet maid to shameless thief was almost entertaining. Sometimes ITV teaches us to be kind, and sometimes it teaches us to be plain stupid. Today was a bit of both.
If this storyline continues, viewers can expect more melodrama around Manjiri’s redemption arc, secret sob stories, and possibly another theft twist if her tears fail to sustain her reentry for long.
Precap Verdict
In the upcoming episode, Anupama and her team gear up for the dance competition. At the last moment, Jaspreet shocks Anupama by telling her about her London interview. Anupama stands frozen, torn between chasing her dreams and supporting her team. The stage is set for another emotional dilemma, so keep your tissues ready.
Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) for petty theft drama, solid acting by Manjiri, and Sayali’s moral lecture marathon. Minus points for logic gaps, plus points for Tejas’ savage realism.
