Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 18th August 2025 Written Update: Abhira’s Emotional Turmoil and Armaan’s Silent Pain. The episode begins with a heartfelt conversation between the sisters. Myra asks Abhira if she is still angry with Armaan for taking her away to Mount Abu. She reminds her that while he separated them once, he was also the one who brought her back. Myra pleads with her not to marry Anshuman.
Abhira, weighed down by her emotions, responds with a metaphor. She asks Myra what would happen if someone reached the railway station late and tried to chase a moving train. Myra replies that it’s risky and the person might get hurt. Abhira compares this to her life with Armaan—saying that the train of happiness and togetherness with him has already passed. The pain behind her words makes Myra restless. She notices tears in Abhira’s eyes, but Abhira avoids the topic and asks her to sleep.
Elsewhere, Anshuman meets Armaan for a private conversation. Anshuman assures him that he will never try to take his place in Myra’s life. Armaan, holding back his emotions, recalls Myra’s habits, likes, and dislikes, and gently shares them with Anshuman. He tells him that very soon, he will become a father figure for Myra. He says that she will live with Anshuman and eventually get comfortable with him.
Armaan’s words reveal his hidden pain. He admits that for every daughter, her father is her superhero, but deep inside, a father always dreads the day she will leave. Tears well up in his eyes as he realizes Myra is leaving him sooner than he ever imagined. He requests Anshuman to always take care of her.
The next morning, Myra surprises Abhira by showering flowers on her. At first, Abhira thinks she is dreaming, but Myra laughs and assures her she isn’t. She lovingly feeds her breakfast and brings up Armaan in their conversation. Abhira asks if she will miss him. Myra honestly admits that she will, but quickly adds that she is happy as long as she has Abhira by her side.
Vidya then calls Abhira to invite her for the Janmashtami celebrations at the Poddar house. Abhira firmly decides not to go, instead sending Myra and Abhir in her place. Myra is surprised to learn of her sister’s decision. Meanwhile, Armaan tells Vidya that she cannot manipulate Abhira into forgiving him. He insists that Abhira has the right to make her own choice and no one should force her.
Later, Myra asks Anshuman to tie the handi for the celebration. Anshuman casually asks if she is going to the Poddar house. Myra recalls how Armaan once told her that Abhira was sad when she lost her. Determined to keep Abhira happy, she decides to stay with her sister. Anshuman wonders aloud if she will miss Armaan, but Myra replies firmly that she is happy being with Abhira. Unknown to them, Abhira overhears their conversation, her heart caught between relief and guilt.
Elsewhere, Kiara helps Abhir with a photoshoot, taking charge as his manager. Abhira gets irritated watching them, feeling a strange discomfort. Kiara tries to calm him down and asks him to listen to her since she’s handling his work.
At the Poddar house, preparations for Janmashtami are in full swing. Tanya is overexcited, buzzing with energy, while Krish argues with her playfully. Kaveri beams with joy, eager for the festival. Just then, Abhira and Anshuman arrive in a disguised look. To add to the festive mischief, Myra throws flowers at Kaveri. Confused, Kaveri looks around, trying to find out who is behind it.
The episode ends on this mix of festivity and emotional undercurrents.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 18th August 2025 Episode Review
This episode beautifully balanced drama and tenderness. The sisterly bond between Abhira and Myra was once again the highlight. Abhira’s train metaphor hit hard—it showed that while she still carries feelings for Armaan, she believes her chance with him has passed. It was mature writing, but also heartbreaking because the love is clearly alive in her eyes.
Armaan’s scene with Anshuman was gut-wrenching. Watching a father preparing himself to let go of his daughter was pure emotional torture. The way he called himself her “superhero” yet admitted to the fear of losing her was the most powerful moment of the episode. Honestly, Jay’s (Armaan’s) acting carried those scenes.
On the lighter side, Myra added charm by showering flowers and showing her innocence. Tanya’s bubbly excitement over Janmashtami brought festive energy, while Kiara and Abhir’s little track added a small distraction from the heavy emotions.
Still, the undercurrent of pain is strong. Abhira’s decision to avoid the Poddars is clearly her way of protecting her heart, while Armaan’s refusal to force her proves his maturity. Yet destiny seems to be pushing them together again, with Myra acting as the bridge.
Rating: 4.2/5 – Strong emotions, festival vibes, and Armaan’s silent heartbreak. The story is walking a thin line between celebration and sorrow, keeping viewers hooked.
