This time though, he remained silent, neither stepping forward to defend her nor offering a word of support. His silence pricks Anu deeply, making her question what she truly means to him.

Anu admits that she doesn’t know where Arya’s feelings stand. She wonders if he loves her or if she has been misreading the small gestures all along. Her doubts leave her vulnerable, torn between hope and despair. Simran listens patiently, but it’s Bipin who comes up with an unusual solution. He suggests the old game of plucking rose petals—“Arya loves me, Arya loves me not”—as a way to test fate and calm her troubled heart.
