Dev’s rage peaks—he twists the man’s hand until the bone cracks. The goon screams in pain and blurts out that he has been contracted to kill Vasudha.
Dev freezes. His voice shakes when he demands the name of the mastermind. The goon, trembling, takes Chandrika’s name.
The ground slips beneath Dev and Vasudha. The idea that Chandrika could go so far feels like a wound sharper than any attack. But Vasudha refuses to let darkness win. She wipes Dev’s tears and urges him to trust the Chandrika he knows, not this planted lie. Her calm faith stands as the only light in Dev’s collapsing world.
