Mangal Lakshmi 29th January 2026 Written Update: Adit Chooses Mangal

Mangal Lakshmi 29th January 2026 Written Update: Sowmya Thrown Out, Adit Chooses Mangal, but Disappears Before the Wedding

The episode opens with raw confrontation. Adit lashes out at Sowmya, telling her that every time he believes she cannot stoop any lower, she proves him wrong by sinking further. Mangal doesn’t hold back either. She calls Sowmya the worst kind of mother, blinded by ego to such an extent that she declared her living daughter dead. Lakshmi adds another blow, saying they already knew Sowmya was ghatiya, but handing a newborn to a complete stranger crossed every limit of sanity. Sowmya tries to explain herself to Adit, but he is beyond listening and storms out in anger.

Kusum, still shaken, asks Mangal how she found out the baby was alive. Mangal calmly explains that she spotted Sowmya with the same woman who had taken the baby. She and Lakshmi confronted the woman and uncovered the truth. Lakshmi receives a call and prepares to leave. Mangal thanks her, saying the entire family is grateful she arrived at the right time. Before leaving, Lakshmi warns Sowmya never to think of harming her sister again, making it clear she stands firmly with Mangal.

Adit returns with a final decision. He throws Sowmya’s luggage at her feet and orders her to leave the house immediately. Sowmya begs for sympathy, but Adit reminds her how she once threw him and his family out without mercy. He says he is being generous by only asking her to leave. The baby starts crying in Mangal’s arms. Sowmya rushes forward, snatches the baby, and pretends to shower her with affection. Adit immediately takes the baby back and warns her to stop the drama. He confesses that marrying Sowmya and abandoning Mangal was the biggest mistake of his life and that he regrets it deeply.

Cornered, Sowmya threatens to file a complaint. Adit challenges her openly, saying he will prove in court that she is an unfit mother and will fight for the baby’s custody. He gives her six days and declares that he will get his daughter back no matter what. He forcefully throws Sowmya out of the house and shuts the door, while Sowmya vows revenge.

Outside, Sowmya doesn’t stop. She poisons Ishana’s mind, telling her that if Adit can throw out his wife and baby, he can do the same to her since she is not his biological daughter. Ishana breaks down in tears. Adit, Mangal, and Kusum catch Sowmya in the act. Furious, Adit warns Sowmya that if he files a complaint, she will rot in jail. He reassures Ishana emotionally, calling her his daughter and telling her she has full rights over him, Mangal, the house, and her grandparents. Adit then tells Sowmya that she can keep the baby for now, but in six days, he will take her back legally. Sowmya finally leaves.

Relief briefly enters the house. Kusum suggests that Adit and Mangal should remarry the very next day in the house temple, calling it an auspicious moment. Akshat feels genuinely happy hearing this. Unseen by them, Sowmya overhears the conversation and silently vows to stop the wedding at any cost.

That night, Adit looks at an old photo with Mangal and smiles softly. His moment is shattered when Sowmya calls him and asks him to watch the video she sent and read the message carefully. Adit watches it and is left completely shocked.

The next morning, Shanti and Kusum enthusiastically prepare for the wedding at home. Kusum asks the children to call their parents. Akshat brings Mangal, and Kusum lovingly compliments her beauty. The happiness doesn’t last long. Ishana reveals that Adit is missing from his room. His phone goes unanswered. Everyone searches frantically, but Adit has vanished just before the wedding. Shanti fears the worst and says she can never trust Adit, suspecting he may have gone back to Sowmya. Kusum defends him strongly, while Mangal senses that something serious must have happened.

The episode ends with worry, doubt, and unanswered questions.

Precap:
After a five-year leap, Mangal is seen searching for a suitable groom for her daughter Ishana.

Mangal Lakshmi 29th January 2026 Written Update Review

This episode is emotionally explosive and decisive. Sowmya’s exposure and Adit finally taking a strong stand bring long-awaited relief. Adit’s acceptance of Ishana as his daughter is one of the strongest moments, reinforcing the show’s emotional core. However, his sudden disappearance right before the wedding adds a dramatic twist, hinting that Sowmya still holds a dangerous card. The episode balances justice, emotional closure, and suspense effectively, setting the stage for the leap.
