Meanwhile, Karan drives aimlessly, drowning in grief. Suddenly, his car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. There is no network signal. He notices a nearby house — the same house where Lakshmi lies recovering.
Karan knocks and politely asks to use a phone. The woman allows him and tells him to stand near the window for network. As Karan makes the call, Lakshmi stirs faintly. Hearing his voice, her fingers twitch. Destiny brings them within inches of each other — yet they remain strangers. Her face is covered in bandages. Karan leaves without recognizing her.
Once he leaves, Lakshmi slowly regains consciousness. The woman removes her bandages. Lakshmi opens her eyes fully and remembers everything — the betrayal, the fire, the suffocation.
Tears roll down her face, but they are not of weakness. They are of rebirth.
