Anupama 9th March 2026 Written Update: Prarthana Sacrifices Her Life Saving Anupama, Family Shattered After Tragic Accident
Today’s episode begins with tension building in the Kothari house as everyone worries about Prarthana. Prem asks Rahi what happened, and she explains that Prarthana still hasn’t returned. Rahi fears Vasundhara will become upset if Prarthana does not come back on time.
Prem says Prarthana should have listened earlier. Both Anupama and Vasundhara had advised her not to go out, but she stubbornly insisted on leaving.
Meanwhile, Gautam becomes anxious and asks what will happen if Prarthana does not return. He worries about his daughter and angrily warns that if anything happens to her, he will not spare the Kotharis. Parag reminds him that he gave permission for Prarthana and Pranshi to leave.
Elsewhere, tragedy strikes.
Anupama suddenly falls on the road after feeling dizzy. Prarthana sees her lying there and immediately decides to help her. Ansh suggests that Prarthana should take care of the baby while he checks on Anupama.
However, Pranshi refuses to leave Ansh’s arms. Seeing the situation, Prarthana decides to help Anupama herself.
Just then, a speeding truck approaches dangerously fast toward Anupama.
Without thinking twice, Prarthana pushes Anupama away from the road and saves her life. But before she can move, the truck hits Prarthana.
Anupama and Ansh scream her name in shock.
Back at the Kothari house, Vasundhara suddenly becomes restless when Prarthana’s photo frame unexpectedly falls and breaks. She senses that something terrible has happened.
Both the Shahs and the Kotharis desperately try to contact Ansh, Anupama, and Prarthana, but no one answers.
Vasundhara regrets stopping Prarthana earlier and grows increasingly anxious.
Soon after, Anupama finally arrives at the house carrying baby Pranshi in her arms. She looks devastated and completely shattered.
Everyone rushes toward her, asking about Prarthana and Ansh. Gautam angrily questions Anupama about what happened this time.
Vasundhara also demands answers and asks Anupama where Prarthana is.
Anupama stands silently in shock, remembering how Prarthana sacrificed herself to save her life.
Prem pleads with Anupama to say that everything is fine. But Anupama is unable to speak. Overwhelmed with guilt and grief, she collapses unconscious on the floor.
The story then jumps forward a few days.
Leela says that even after several days, she still cannot forget Prarthana. Hasmuk sadly replies that destiny cannot be changed.
Leela reveals that the Kotharis have taken baby Pranshi away from Ansh. Paritosh explains that although it was an accident, the Kotharis are blaming both Anupama and Ansh.
Pakhi says Anupama is drowning in guilt because she believes she is responsible for Prarthana’s death. The Shah family worries that the Kotharis will once again blame Anupama unfairly.
Kinjal prays that Anupama and Ansh find strength during this painful time.
Later, Anupama and Ansh talk about Prarthana and struggle to cope with the tragedy.
At the Kothari house, the family mourns Prarthana’s death. Vasundhara says she tried to stop Prarthana that day. Khyati worries about Parag’s mental state.
Rahi asks Parag to eat something, but he refuses. Parag breaks down, saying he cannot accept that Prarthana is gone.
He blames himself for giving permission for her to leave. Parag says that both Vasundhara and Anupama tried to stop her, but he allowed her to go. He feels responsible for the tragedy.
Anil tries to console him, reminding him that no one can change God’s plan.
Rahi also tries to calm everyone down. She says the accident was unfortunate and no one should blame themselves. She later asks Prem how they will help both Parag and Anupama recover from this trauma.
Meanwhile, Devika visits the Shah house.
Leela thanks her for coming. Devika says she knows Anupama will struggle to overcome the guilt of Prarthana’s death.
Hasmuk reveals that this is exactly why they called Devika. He asks her to take Anupama away for some time so she can heal emotionally. Hasmuk assures Devika that they will take care of Ansh.
Devika approaches Anupama and calls out to her.
Anupama breaks down in tears and blames herself for Prarthana’s death. She says she is a terrible person and regrets not stopping Prarthana more strongly that day.
Devika gently consoles her and says the accident was not her fault.
She then shares her own problem. Devika explains that she has to leave the country for a project and cannot take her daughter Jaya with her. She requests Anupama to take care of Jaya during that time.
Devika reminds Anupama that she has always supported her in difficult moments and asks her to help her this time.
At first, Anupama refuses because she does not want to leave Ansh alone.
Devika argues that Ansh is mature enough to manage himself while Jaya still needs care. Hasmuk and Leela also encourage Anupama to accept the responsibility and assure her that they will take care of Ansh.
Devika secretly believes that leaving Ahmedabad for some time will help Anupama escape her painful memories.
Anupama finally decides to discuss it with Ansh.
Ansh surprisingly encourages her to go with Devika. He tells her not to blame herself for Prarthana’s death because it was simply an accident.
With a heavy heart, Anupama leaves Ahmedabad with Devika.
Meanwhile, Rahi and Prem take care of baby Pranshi while the Kothari family continues mourning Prarthana’s loss. Parag refuses to even look at the baby because her presence reminds him of the tragedy.
The episode ends with the families still struggling to deal with the painful aftermath.

Anupama arrives in Goa and participates in a cycle race. Devika’s daughter Jaya cheers for her enthusiastically as Anupama begins a new phase of her life.
