Mannat 5th May 2026 Written Update: Dhairya Feels Betrayed as Vikrant’s Custody Battle Tears Everyone Apart
The episode begins with Mannat breaking devastating news to Dhairya. Vikrant has officially filed for Dua’s custody, and the court hearing is happening today. The shock hits Dhairya instantly because just a day earlier, Vikrant had promised them he would never take this route.
For Dhairya, this isn’t just a legal move.
It feels like betrayal.
His anger erupts immediately as he says Vikrant has finally shown his true face. Mannat tries to calm him down, worried that Dua might overhear their conversation. But even in her attempt to stay composed, her own pain is visible.
Dua quietly notices her mother’s distress.
Before the child can sense more tension, Roni gently takes her away from the scene. Meanwhile, Mallika watches everything unfold with satisfaction. She tells Yashika that Vikrant has destroyed her happiness, but beneath her words lies hidden enjoyment at the chaos growing around Mannat.
Mannat, unable to contain her emotions anymore, calls out Vikrant’s name in anger. Neetu steps in immediately, trying to defend him. But Mannat refuses to listen quietly this time.
She questions Neetu directly.
Why did Vikrant file for custody after promising not to? Why did he break his word?
Neetu tries to justify his actions by saying he is doing it for their future. She reminds Mannat that Dua is Vikrant’s daughter and this house belongs to her too. According to Neetu, Mannat has been living a false life with Dhairya while ignoring her own happiness.
To Neetu, this custody case is not cruelty.
It’s correction.
Dhairya overhears enough to leave silently, disappointment written all over his face.
Mannat, however, stands firm. She declares that she will never allow Vikrant to snatch Dua away from her. She reminds Neetu that Dua is her daughter and she alone has the right to decide her future.
Her anger deepens when she brings up the past.
She says everything ended between her and Vikrant the moment he made her sign those papers during Shruthi’s funeral. The emotional wound still burns inside her. Mallika quietly smirks hearing this, clearly enjoying every painful revelation.
Neetu tries softening the situation again. She claims Vikrant doesn’t want to separate Dua from Mannat and even points out that he arranged summer classes for Dua. But Mannat immediately sees through it. She questions whether Neetu planned all of this alongside Vikrant from the very beginning.
For the first time, Mannat openly speaks about her bond with Dhairya.
She says Neetu knows nothing about what she and Dhairya endured together. They faced every hardship side by side, and they can survive this phase too. Her loyalty toward Dhairya becomes crystal clear as she promises to defeat Vikrant in court.
Neetu, despite everything, silently prays for Vikrant and Mannat to reunite someday.
But around her, the younger generation sees things differently. Mallika tells Yashika that Mannat cleverly created this entire situation just to stay in the house. Yashika, however, believes Neetu is the true mastermind behind everything.
Meanwhile, Dhairya isolates himself emotionally.
When Mannat approaches him to talk, his reaction is heartbreaking. Instead of listening, he sarcastically claps for her, almost applauding what he believes is her manipulation.
He questions her role in his life.
According to him, Mannat and Vikrant planned everything together. He accuses her of wanting to stay with Vikrant while slowly pushing him out of their lives. In his pain, he even believes she encouraged Vikrant to file the custody case just so she could remain close to him.
Mannat denies every accusation desperately, but Dhairya’s hurt is too deep to hear reason.
She explains again that she is preparing to fight Vikrant in court and will never let him take Dua away from them. But Dhairya catches one detail in her words that wounds him further.
She keeps saying “my daughter.”
Not “our daughter.”
That difference breaks him.
Dhairya emotionally asks what his place in Dua’s life actually is. Wasn’t he the one who raised her? Wasn’t he the one who loved her like his own child every single day?
His pain feels raw and genuine here. For him, fatherhood was built through sacrifice and presence, not blood.
He vows that he will never allow anyone to separate him from Dua.
At the same time, another emotional conversation unfolds elsewhere. Yashika approaches Vikrant, and for once, Vikrant seems vulnerable instead of defensive. He apologizes to her for hiding the truth and admits he feels ashamed facing her.
Yashika directly asks the question everyone already knows the answer to.
Does he still love Mannat?
Vikrant doesn’t hesitate.
He admits he never stopped loving her.
That confession changes the emotional atmosphere instantly. Yashika handles it with surprising maturity. Instead of reacting bitterly, she offers him friendship and support. She says she understands him and wants to help him if she can.
Vikrant thanks her sincerely, though his heart clearly remains trapped in the past.
Back with Mannat and Dhairya, the misunderstanding continues spiraling. Dhairya accuses Mannat of delaying their departure intentionally because she still cared about Vikrant. According to him, Vikrant simply took advantage of her emotional weakness and used it to claim Dua legally.
Mannat defends herself again and again, but trust is slipping away rapidly.
Finally, Dhairya declares that he will take Dua away from there.
And right at that emotionally explosive moment, Dua walks in.
The timing instantly freezes everyone.
The episode ends with relationships hanging by a fragile thread, where love, sacrifice, guilt, and insecurity are all colliding at once.
The precap intensifies the coming battle even further. Mannat confronts Neetu fearlessly and warns her that nobody can snatch her daughter away from her. She promises to fight Vikrant in court and declares that once she wins, she won’t even allow him to meet Dua.
The custody battle is no longer emotional alone.
It has turned into war.
Review
This episode thrives on emotional conflict and layered misunderstandings. Dhairya’s breakdown stands out the most because his pain feels deeply justified. His fear of losing Dua makes his accusations emotional rather than villainous, which adds depth to his character.
Mannat continues to remain emotionally torn but strong, while Vikrant’s quiet confession about still loving her adds another emotional complication to the story.
Neetu remains the driving force behind the custody drama, though her intentions blur the line between love and manipulation. The writing effectively captures how unresolved emotions destroy trust even between people who genuinely care for each other.
Overall, the episode successfully raises the emotional stakes ahead of the courtroom battle.
