Anupama 8th May 2026 Written Update: Rahi Crosses Limits While Defending Prem Against Anupama
Today’s episode begins with Digvijay trying to cheer up Anupama during Leela’s birthday celebration. He sings a beautiful song for her in front of everyone. The Shahs and Kotharis get stunned watching the moment unfold. Anupama smiles emotionally and thanks Digvijay for trying to lighten the atmosphere.
However, the celebration quickly turns uncomfortable when one of the ladies at the party praises Digvijay and Anupama as the “perfect couple.” She says every woman deserves a husband or companion who gives attention like Digvijay does. Her comment instantly creates awkward silence inside the house.
Digvijay immediately clarifies that he and Anupama are not a couple. But the woman insists that their chemistry made her think otherwise. Soon another lady joins the conversation and begins questioning the friendship between Anupama and Digvijay. She bluntly says that a man and woman can never remain “just friends.”
Anupama calmly defends her bond with Digvijay. She says pure friendship between a man and woman exists and even mentions the friendship between Lord Krishna and Draupadi. But the women refuse to accept her explanation and continue taunting her. Anupama repeatedly tries protecting both her dignity and Digvijay’s respect without creating a bigger scene.
Things worsen when the women decide to leave the party midway. Anupama politely requests them not to spoil Leela’s birthday celebration, but they ignore her and walk away. Soon, Hasmuk’s friends also leave the party, making the atmosphere even more embarrassing.
Leela loses her temper and blames Anupama for ruining her birthday yet again. Vasundhara adds fuel to the fire and openly questions Anupama’s closeness with Digvijay. Anupama requests everyone to stay quiet at least until the birthday celebration ends peacefully, but nobody listens to her.
Hasmuk stands firmly beside Anupama and defends her character. Ansh and Banku also support Anupama and Digvijay’s friendship. But Leela gets angry seeing Hasmuk support Anupama once again. Pakhi and Paritosh also begin accusing Anupama of bringing shame to the family repeatedly.
Meanwhile, Shruti silently enjoys the chaos. She taunts Anupama and accuses her of replacing Anuj with Digvijay. Shruti says society will never accept a man and woman living together under the same roof. She compares the situation with her time in America and indirectly tries portraying Anupama negatively.
Anupama gets emotional hearing Anuj’s name dragged into the matter. She firmly says Anuj can never be replaced in her life. She reveals that Anuj himself had met Digvijay in America and even invested in Saavi’s café project. Anupama says she is simply trying to fulfill Anuj’s dream and nothing else.
But the drama does not stop there.
Rahi, already emotionally influenced by Shruti and Prem, starts confronting Digvijay aggressively. She questions why he is using Anupama emotionally and financially for his café plans. Anupama immediately defends Digvijay, but Rahi refuses to listen.
Vasundhara secretly enjoys the entire situation and tells Gautam that Rahi looks good whenever she opposes Anupama. The bitterness inside the family becomes painfully visible.
Soon, Rahi crosses another line and insults Anupama openly. Digvijay finally loses his patience and tells Rahi she cannot disrespect her mother like this. He further shocks everyone by exposing Shruti’s lies. Digvijay reveals that Anuj never gave Shruti false hope and never replaced Anupama with anyone in his life.
Shruti gets stunned after her manipulations get exposed publicly.
Digvijay then expresses disgust at the shallow thinking of the family members who cannot accept a pure friendship between a man and woman. Leela immediately questions him, asking why he wants to open a café near their house if he dislikes them so much.
Prem then enters the argument and turns the entire blame toward Anupama. He accuses her of being jealous of his success. Prem claims Anupama intentionally canceled his café license and is now opening her own café to prove she is superior to him.
Anupama gets shocked hearing Prem’s accusations. She calmly explains that the café inspection decision was not hers alone and involved other officials too. But Prem refuses to listen. He keeps accusing Anupama of trying to destroy his dreams because of jealousy.
Anupama stands speechless as her own loved ones continue misunderstanding her intentions again and again.

When Rahi questions why Digvijay is getting so affected, Anupama finally loses control and slaps Rahi hard. She says Rahi has forgotten Anuj’s upbringing and calls her a bad daughter.
