Do Duniya Ek Dil 8th May 2026 Written Update: Shivaay Decides To Stop Aadhya’s Engagement
Today’s episode begins with Shivaay silently burning with jealousy after seeing Aadhya happily standing beside Yashvardhan. Yash excitedly records a video with Aadhya at the tea stall and says he wants to upload it online with the caption “Do Deewane.” Shivaay feels hurt watching them together but controls his emotions.
Soon, Shivaay informs Yash that the car has been repaired. When Yash asks about the repair charges, Hemant tells him it will cost ₹2500. Yash asks for a QR code to make the payment, but Hemant says they only accept cash. Yash leaves for the ATM while Shivaay’s friends try approaching Aadhya, but Shivaay stops them from creating a scene.
Meanwhile, tension rises inside Baldev’s house.
Padma asks Pallavi to help choose the engagement ring for Yash, but Pallavi refuses coldly. Baldev questions why Pallavi keeps opposing his decisions and insists Yash is the perfect match for Aadhya, unlike Shivaay who can never keep her happy.
Padma tries calming the situation, but Baldev proudly says he once got his own sister Padma married to the man he chose instead of the man she loved, and now she is living happily. Padma agrees outwardly, but deep inside she remembers how Baldev destroyed her life and secretly vows to take revenge on him.
Pallavi emotionally asks Baldev why he doesn’t divorce her if she causes him so many problems. Baldev immediately rejects the idea, saying divorce goes against his family values. After he leaves, Pallavi breaks down and says Baldev is ruining Aadhya’s life exactly like he ruined others before.
Later, Yash returns home with Aadhya.
Aadhya takes Yash aside and honestly tells him she loves Shivaay and cannot marry him. She asks Yash to tell Baldev that he wants to cancel the engagement.
But Yash shocks her.
Instead of rejecting the alliance, Yash enters the house smiling warmly. Padma asks how their outing went, and Yash happily says everything was wonderful. He emotionally thanks Baldev for welcoming him into the family and even hugs him while calling him “Daddy.”
Aadhya stands stunned.
Before leaving, Yash tells Aadhya to move on from Shivaay and accept reality. His words leave her heartbroken and confused.
Meanwhile, Padma notices everything carefully and secretly feels pleased seeing the growing emotional chaos. She tells Baldev that Aadhya seems to have started liking Yash too and suggests announcing the engagement publicly. Baldev happily agrees, unaware of Padma’s hidden intentions to humiliate him later.
Elsewhere, Shivaay decides to travel to Agra with a delivery truck. However, his pain over Aadhya’s engagement keeps haunting him.
Later, Baldev takes Aadhya shopping for engagement rings. He asks her to select another ring for herself as well. Aadhya emotionally pleads with him once again to stop the engagement before things go too far.
She tells Baldev that he is her hero and admits she genuinely feels Yash is not the right man for her. Aadhya says she doesn’t want Baldev to get embarrassed publicly later and begs him to cancel the alliance respectfully now itself.
But Baldev remains stubborn.
He tells Aadhya that the engagement will definitely happen no matter what.
Suddenly, the situation turns dangerous.
A group of goons attacks Baldev and holds Aadhya at knifepoint. Baldev fiercely fights the attackers and desperately tries protecting his daughter. The shocking attack leaves Aadhya terrified.
The episode ends on a tense cliffhanger.
Precap: Shivaay arrives at the engagement venue to take Aadhya away. Baldev stops him and declares that only he will decide what is best for his daughter.

Today’s episode balanced emotional conflict and drama beautifully. Aadhya’s helplessness, Shivaay’s silent heartbreak, and Baldev’s stubbornness kept the emotional tension high throughout the episode.
Yashvardhan’s unexpected acceptance of the engagement despite knowing about Shivaay added an interesting twist. Meanwhile, Padma’s hidden revenge plan continues building suspense in the background.
The final attack sequence added strong drama before the big engagement showdown ahead.
