Anupama 9th May 2026 Written Update: Anupama Slaps Rahi After Ugly Accusations. Today’s episode begins with Anupama getting deeply hurt after Prem accuses her of being jealous of him. Shocked by his words, Anupama says if such a thing is true, then the earth should split apart and swallow her whole. She emotionally asks Prem how he could even think a mother would become jealous of her own child.
Prem remains angry and says Anupama only knows how to preach others. He declares that this time he will defeat her.
Anil immediately tries stopping Prem from speaking further, but Meeta interferes and questions why Anil is silencing him. Anil fires back and says Meeta looks happy seeing the drama unfold. He indirectly taunts her for failing to support Raja properly during his difficult time.
Meanwhile, Khyati strongly supports Anupama.
She emotionally asks Rahi and Prem to stop calling Anupama their mother if they can easily misunderstand and insult her like this. Khyati says the Kothari family constantly depends on Anupama, yet she gets blamed for everything every single time.
But the accusations against Anupama only grow uglier.
Meeta comments that every function remains peaceful until Anupama arrives and creates chaos. Rahi openly calls Anupama an attention seeker and says she cannot survive without a man’s support in her life.
Ansh gets furious hearing Rahi disrespect her mother so badly.
Rahi then crosses every limit by saying Anupama failed as a mother.
Mahi immediately defends Anupama and reminds Rahi about everything Anupama sacrificed for her children. She also calls out Pakhi and Rahi as the real attention seekers in the family.
Pakhi gets offended after hearing her name dragged into the argument, but Hasmuk supports Mahi and says she is speaking the truth.
Soon, Rahi questions Digvijay and Anupama’s friendship again. Anupama calmly asks Rahi what exactly she should do to become a good mother in her eyes.
Rahi shocks everyone further by comparing Anupama with Shruti.
She says Shruti cares more about her and Prem’s happiness than Anupama ever did. Digvijay immediately steps forward and defends his friendship with Anupama.
But Rahi continues insulting them.
She angrily asks Digvijay why he is reacting so strongly when she is talking to her own mother. Then she directly asks Anupama whether she has replaced Anuj with Digvijay in her life.
That question breaks Anupama completely.
Unable to tolerate the disrespect anymore, Anupama slaps Rahi hard.
Everyone stands stunned.
Anupama drags Rahi aside while Shruti tries interfering, but Anupama firmly asks her to stay out of the matter. She emotionally reminds Rahi that nobody can ever replace Anuj in her life.
Anupama says she still remembers Anuj every single day and is only trying to fulfill his dream along with Saavi’s café project. She calls Rahi a bad daughter for questioning her character and intentions.
In an emotional breakdown, Anupama tells Rahi that only when she becomes a mother herself will she understand the pain and strength of motherhood.
Anupama also explains that both she and Digvijay share similar emotional wounds, which created their bond naturally.
She then exposes Rahi’s double standards.
Anupama points out that Rahi has no problem with Prem and Prerna’s friendship, yet she keeps questioning her friendship with Digvijay because society judges women differently.
She also reminds Rahi and Prem that the café inspection was not solely her decision and says they need to stop blaming her for everything that went wrong.
Prem finally decides to take Rahi away from the Shah house.
Before leaving, Rahi says she will never forget the slap. Anupama emotionally replies that Rahi should never forget it because children should never interfere disrespectfully between parents and their relationship.
Digvijay later says one day Rahi will regret failing to value Anupama’s love.
Meanwhile, Vasundhara coldly comments that they only came to celebrate Leela’s birthday, not witness family drama. Anupama openly tells Vasundhara that she knows exactly what her intentions were from the beginning.
The Kotharis leave shortly after.
But the humiliation continues inside the Shah house.
Paritosh and Pakhi again blame Anupama and Digvijay for the mess. Hasmuk loses his patience and warns them to stop insulting Anupama or he will not tolerate it anymore.
Leela too says society will question Anupama and Digvijay’s bond exactly like Rahi did today. She advises Digvijay to leave for everyone’s peace.
But Anupama finally takes a stand for herself.
She stops Digvijay from leaving and boldly announces that she will no longer fear society’s judgment. Anupama says she will live life on her own terms from now on.
Hasmuk proudly blesses her decision.
Ansh, Mahi, Kinjal, and Ishani also stand beside Anupama and support her dream of fulfilling Saavi and Anuj’s vision through the café.
The emotional episode ends with Anupama standing stronger despite the heartbreak caused by her own daughter.
Precap: Kinjal informs Anupama that Mahi has sent Gautam divorce papers. The Kotharis blame Anupama again, while Vasundhara secretly plans to destroy Anupama’s café before its opening.

Today’s episode was emotionally explosive and heavily centered around Anupama and Rahi’s painful confrontation. The slap scene carried strong emotional weight because it came after repeated accusations against Anupama’s character and motherhood.
The episode also highlighted society’s double standards toward women’s friendships beautifully. Anupama finally deciding to stop fearing society felt powerful and long overdue.
Rahi’s bitterness continues making her character darker, while Digvijay’s support for Anupama is slowly becoming the emotional backbone of the story.
