Jhanak 9th May 2026 Written Update: Rishi Refuses Responsibility, Aniruddh Takes Jhanak Home
Today’s episode begins with Rishi stubbornly defending himself in front of the family. He says Jhanak used to visit Ayushman’s house many times, and according to him, that itself is enough proof against her. His harsh accusations leave the entire family disturbed.
Tanushri immediately takes Jhanak’s side and reminds Rishi that Jhanak could easily visit Ayushman’s house for work-related reasons because they are both doctors. But Rishi refuses to listen.
Instead, he bitterly taunts Tanushri and says Jhanak has suddenly become everyone’s favorite.
Rishi insists that he is not Jhanak’s enemy and reminds everyone that he married her out of love even after fighting against his own family. But according to him, Jhanak betrayed that love. He firmly repeats that he is not the father of her child.
Dadabhai tries to calm the situation and asks everyone to discuss the matter carefully instead of making emotional decisions. But Rishi is in no mood to soften.
He openly declares that he no longer wants to live with Jhanak.
Dritimaan questions Rishi and asks why he is so certain that the child cannot be his. Rishi becomes uncomfortable and says it is his personal matter which he cannot reveal publicly. He further says this is his life and nobody has the right to interfere in his decisions.
Abhimanyu gets furious hearing Rishi’s cold-hearted words. He reminds him that Jhanak is pregnant and emotionally shattered, and at such a time she needs support instead of humiliation.
But Rishi cruelly replies that her pregnancy is not his responsibility.
That statement shocks everyone.
Aniruddh then steps in and says the first thing that matters now is what Jhanak herself wants. He says they should ask her whether she even wishes to stay with Rishi anymore after such accusations.
Aditi immediately interrupts and asks Aniruddh not to interfere in Rishi and Jhanak’s personal matter. She insists that everyone should also consider Rishi’s perspective instead of blindly supporting Jhanak.
Aniruddh quickly understands that Aditi has influenced Rishi against Jhanak. He directly accuses her of instigating him.
Aditi gets offended and defends herself. She claims she only shared information she received from her colleague’s sister and says everyone can cross-check the facts themselves.
Indumati firmly asks Aditi to stay away from the matter because her involvement is only making things worse.
Dritimaan once again asks Rishi clearly what exactly he wants now.
Rishi coldly announces that he is completely sure he is not the father of Jhanak’s baby.
Aniruddh asks him one painful question — whether nothing ever happened between him and Jhanak after marriage. But Rishi refuses to answer directly and tells everyone to question Jhanak instead.
Finally, Aniruddh tells Rishi that if he has already decided to reject both Jhanak and the child, then he should simply divorce her.
Rishi grows emotional but angry at the same time. He says Jhanak betrayed him after he fought against his family to marry her, and he will never forgive her for that betrayal.
Aniruddh strongly replies that perhaps Jhanak will never forgive him either.
Later, Aniruddh reaches the hospital to meet Jhanak personally.
Srishti takes him toward Jhanak’s room while silently observing the situation.
Meanwhile, Ayushman gently tries to convince Jhanak to take care of herself. He reminds her that she is a doctor and cannot neglect her own health, especially during pregnancy. He requests her to stay temporarily in his guest room until his friend arranges another place for her.
But Jhanak refuses politely.
She says she cannot keep troubling others because she already feels humiliated and broken after everything that happened.
Ayushman tells her that he knows how deeply she loved Rishi and how much she sacrificed for him. He says nobody deserves such insults after loving someone honestly.
Jhanak emotionally says she does not regret loving Rishi because she did everything wholeheartedly. But sadly, her fate seems similar to her mother Nutan’s painful life story.
At that moment, Srishti brings Aniruddh there and quietly leaves.
Aniruddh gets emotional seeing Jhanak alone and vulnerable. He tells her that she should have informed him earlier instead of suffering silently.
He reveals that he already visited Rishi’s house and knows everything now.
When Aniruddh asks where she plans to stay, Ayushman informs him that for now Jhanak is staying inside the doctor’s room at the hospital.
Aniruddh immediately refuses to let her continue struggling alone.
He firmly tells Jhanak that he has come there to take her home with him.
Jhanak hesitates emotionally and says she cannot return to Rishi because he refused to accept both her and the baby.
Aniruddh gently assures her that she is not alone anymore.
He says the entire family should understand that Jhanak deserves love, dignity, and support during this difficult phase. He openly declares that he wants to fight for her rights now.
Ayushman also encourages Jhanak to go with Aniruddh because she needs emotional support and family around her.
Still hesitant, Jhanak says Aniruddh may face trouble because of her presence.
But Aniruddh confidently replies that he no longer lives with Arshi, so nobody can stop him from supporting his younger daughter-like Jhanak. He adds that even Aditi will eventually have to understand his decision.
The episode ends on an emotional note as Jhanak silently looks at Aniruddh, finally feeling that someone is standing beside her after her world shattered completely.
Precap: Jhanak starts staying with Aniruddh in his new house. Dritimaan asks permission to meet her. Aniruddh allows everyone except Rishi, making it clear that Rishi has lost the right to face Jhanak after humiliating her publicly.
