Mannat 9th May 2026 Written Update: Vikrant Regrets Custody Case, Dhairya Feels Heartbroken
Today’s episode begins with Mannat confronting Vikrant over his biggest mistake. She asks him why he acted like a saint in front of everyone yesterday when he had already filed a custody case against her in court.
Vikrant immediately says he was not acting and whatever he said came straight from his heart. He admits that he simply does not trust Dhairya anymore.
But Mannat strongly reminds him that Dhairya is his own brother.
Vikrant emotionally says that Dhairya threatened to separate him from Mannat and Dua forever, which scared him deeply. Mannat replies that Dhairya’s fear is justified because Vikrant himself filed for Dua’s custody and created this insecurity.
Realizing his mistake, Vikrant tells Mannat that he is ready to withdraw the custody case completely.
However, Mannat refuses to soften easily.
She says everything feels simple and convenient only for Vikrant because he never truly understands another person’s pain. Mannat emotionally reminds him how she carried Dua for nine painful months alone while constantly hoping Vikrant would somehow discover the truth and return to her.
But that never happened.
Mannat says now everyone suddenly expects her to forgive Vikrant overnight simply because he learned the truth. But her heart still carries years of pain, abandonment, and betrayal.
Her emotional breakdown becomes the strongest part of the episode.
Mannat says her heart has shattered countless times because of Vikrant’s actions, and now he must understand one important truth — Dhairya raised Dua lovingly for seven years when Vikrant was absent.
She firmly says it is impossible to separate Dua from Dhairya because their bond is emotional, deep, and unbreakable.
Vikrant quietly listens with tears in his eyes.
He says he understands everything now. He reveals that his own life was never truly happy either. The moment he discovered Dua was his daughter, he felt like he finally got his world back.
But he panicked after learning Mannat wanted to leave the house, and in desperation, he believed the custody case was the only way to stop her.
Vikrant honestly admits he simply wanted his family back but did not know how to fight for them properly.
Mannat then makes her position crystal clear.
She says the court will decide the future now, but as Dua’s mother, she will never allow anyone to remove Dhairya from Dua’s life. According to her, Dhairya will always remain Dua’s “Baba” emotionally, no matter what happens legally.
Mannat further says that if Vikrant truly considers himself Dua’s father, then he should think about Dua’s happiness instead of his own emotions.
Then comes a heartbreaking warning.
Mannat says she was actually thinking about giving Vikrant some space in Dua’s life from the morning itself. But by filing the custody case, he ruined every chance of rebuilding trust peacefully.
She finally walks away, leaving Vikrant shattered and regretful.
Unknown to them, Neetu overhears their emotional conversation.
Later, Neetu consoles Vikrant and tells him that Mannat’s attachment toward Dhairya is natural because Dhairya stood beside her during the darkest years of her life.
Neetu says Mannat witnessed Dhairya’s sacrifices closely, which is why she cannot suddenly separate him from Dua emotionally.
Even then, Neetu encourages Vikrant to stay strong and believe he can still win this battle.
But Vikrant no longer feels confident.
Instead, he breaks down emotionally and admits that he recently started solving his misunderstandings with Mannat, but his impulsive custody case destroyed everything again.
Vikrant regrets forcing Mannat to stay in the house and finally decides he wants to withdraw the case completely.
Unfortunately, trouble begins brewing elsewhere.
Mallika and Yashika secretly overhear the entire conversation.
Mallika immediately realizes that if Vikrant withdraws the case and apologizes sincerely, Mannat may slowly forgive him again. Desperate to stop their reunion, Mallika cleverly manipulates Yashika emotionally.
Pretending to act mature and practical, Mallika tells Yashika that if she openly supports Vikrant now, people may misunderstand her intentions and think she is jealous of Mannat.
But secretly, Mallika hints that this situation can actually be used to emotionally influence Vikrant further.
Neetu too asks Yashika to somehow stop Vikrant from withdrawing the case.
Meanwhile, another emotional scene unfolds when little Dua happily shows her summer project to Dhairya.
But Dhairya becomes heartbroken after noticing Vikrant’s picture in the project instead of his own. Unable to hide his pain and insecurity, Dhairya taunts Dua and walks away coldly.
Mannat silently watches everything and feels bad that Dua got scolded because of the growing tension between the adults.
The episode emotionally captures how the custody battle is slowly hurting everyone — especially innocent Dua.
Precap: Vikrant emotionally confesses his love to Mannat and begs her to accept him back into her life.
Review
Today’s episode heavily focused on emotional damage instead of loud drama, and that worked beautifully. Mannat’s confrontation with Vikrant felt raw, mature, and heartbreaking because she finally expressed years of suppressed pain.
Vikrant’s regret looked genuine, making his character emotionally vulnerable instead of arrogant. The biggest emotional scene, however, was Dhairya quietly feeling replaced after seeing Vikrant’s picture in Dua’s project.
The story is now moving strongly into an emotional triangle where love, guilt, sacrifice, and parenthood are colliding painfully.
