Mangal Lakshmi 13th May 2026 Written Update: Aarav Blackmails Mangal After Her Secret Stays Safe
Today’s episode begins on an emotional yet relieving note as the doctor finally comes out and informs the Saxena family that Mangal is now out of danger. Everyone feels relieved hearing the good news after the terrifying accident and hospital drama. Shanti immediately asks the doctor whether they can take Mangal back home. The doctor explains that Mangal still needs complete rest and proper care, but her condition is stable now. Meanwhile, Ishana asks about Akshat and Shubhi. The doctor allows them to return home as well before leaving.
Kusum notices Ishana looking worried despite the good news. She asks her what is bothering her. Ishana admits she is still tense because there is no information about Aarav yet. Kusum comforts her lovingly and says that they will definitely find Aarav soon. She asks Ishana not to lose hope.
Back at the Saxena house, Shanti notices Sowmya relaxing comfortably and immediately starts taunting her. She throws a cleaning cloth at Sowmya and orders her to clean the house and help in the kitchen. Sowmya complains that she still needs rest. Shanti sarcastically reminds her that if she could dance in competitions, then she can surely do household chores too. Sowmya is left frustrated as Shanti makes her handle the cleaning and cooking work.
Soon, the family brings Mangal home. Kusum emotionally welcomes her and reveals that they have arranged a Havan for her safe return. The family prepares for the puja while waiting for the Pandit to arrive. Amid the celebrations, tension rises elsewhere as Jairaj angrily scolds Ravi for allowing Aarav to escape so easily. Ravi apologizes nervously, but Jairaj becomes worried that Aarav might expose Mangal’s secret mission. He quickly decides to reach the Saxena house before things go out of control.
The family begins the Havan peacefully. Just then, Aarav suddenly arrives home. Ishana gets emotional and hugs him tightly after seeing him safe. She asks him how he got injured. Aarav dramatically says that everything happened because of Mangal. Ishana gets shocked and demands an explanation.
Aarav then twists the situation cleverly. He says that some goons tried to rob him and abducted him after he refused to hand over his wallet and phone. According to Aarav, he escaped by taking inspiration from Mangal’s bravery. He sarcastically praises Mangal for being “inspirational,” leaving her uncomfortable. Aarav then complains that he has not eaten or rested for two days. Ishana lovingly asks him to go and rest immediately.
From a distance, Jairaj secretly watches the situation unfold. He becomes relieved after realizing Aarav did not expose Mangal’s involvement in the mission. Jairaj quietly tries to leave before anyone notices him, but Adit spots him. Adit questions why he came and why he is leaving without entering the house. Jairaj quickly lies that he came regarding work connected to Pehla Swaad, but since the family is busy with the puja, they can discuss it later. He leaves before raising further suspicion.
Later, Mangal enters her room and finds Aarav amusing himself by performing his own aarti. Confused, Mangal asks what he is doing. Aarav arrogantly says that in India, sons-in-law are treated like gods, but no one in this house treats him with respect, so he decided to worship himself instead. His mocking behavior irritates Mangal.
Aarav then reveals his true intentions. He says he initially planned to expose Mangal’s secret to Adit and Sowmya but changed his mind because blackmailing her sounds more entertaining. He starts threatening Mangal emotionally. Aarav demands that she arrange his wedding with Ishana once again in a grand traditional style. Mangal firmly refuses.
However, Aarav does not stop there. He warns Mangal that if her secret as a spy gets exposed, dangerous people connected to the business world may harm her entire family. He demands a huge share in both Pehla Swaad and Shubh Mangal Wedding Planners. Mangal stands silent, trapped by fear and helplessness.
Aarav further manipulates her emotionally by bringing Akshat into the matter. He says Akshat’s life could also get ruined if the truth comes out. Mangal becomes deeply disturbed hearing this. Before she can leave, Aarav sends her a message demanding food and reminding her that she now has to fulfill all his wishes if she wants her secret protected.
The episode ends with Mangal silently suffering while Aarav gains control over her through emotional blackmail.

The episode successfully shifted from emotional family drama to psychological tension. Aarav’s transformation into a manipulative blackmailer added a darker twist to the storyline. His scenes with Mangal carried strong intensity, while Shanti’s domination over Sowmya added light entertainment. The emotional relief around Mangal’s recovery balanced the growing suspense well.
