Anupama 18th May 2026 Written Update: Anupama Saves Prem’s Life, Rahi Targets Her Again
Today’s episode begins with Prerna informing Anupama that their café received very good sales on Mother’s Day. Anupama happily says they managed it because of the festive discounts, but the real challenge starts now. Prerna confidently tells Anupama that as long as she continues cooking, every test will be passed successfully.
Anupama lovingly wishes that Prem and Prerna’s café also becomes successful. However, Prerna silently remembers Shruti’s strict conditions and looks disturbed. Anupama notices her restlessness and asks what happened, but before Prerna can answer, Prem interrupts and asks her to stop wasting time.
Meanwhile, at the Vat Savitri puja, Leela narrates the story of Savitri and explains how she brought her husband back from death through her devotion and fasting. She asks all the women to pray for their husbands and relationships across seven lifetimes.
Kinjal looks emotional while praying. Rahi notices her distraction and asks her to focus on the puja instead.
Soon, some women begin gossiping about Anupama and Digvijay. Rahi overhears them discussing how Leela allowed Digvijay to stay at the Shah house. Irritated, Rahi tells the women to stop gossiping inside the temple and focus on prayers.
Rahi then directly questions Leela about giving Digvijay shelter. Leela calmly explains that Digvijay saved Hasmuk’s life, so she could not ignore Hasmuk’s wish. But Rahi gets angry and says they could have rewarded Digvijay instead of giving him a place inside the house.
She further accuses Anupama of insulting sacred relationships by staying close to Digvijay.
Kinjal strongly defends Anupama and says there is nothing wrong with Anupama and Digvijay working together. Soon, Rahi and Kinjal start arguing publicly. Pari asks Rahi to calm down and stop fighting during the puja.
Khyati later tells Rahi that nobody is snatching anything from her and she is simply choosing the wrong path because of her anger.
Elsewhere, Prem decides to handle the fireworks setup himself until the electrician arrives. He asks Prerna to assist him.
At the temple, Khyati prays for Parag while Leela prays for Hasmuk’s long life. Rahi sincerely prays for Prem’s safety. Suddenly, her auspicious thread breaks, leaving her anxious.
At the same moment, Anupama senses danger around Prem.
Just when Prem is about to receive a deadly electric shock, Anupama rushes and saves him. Digvijay quickly pulls Anupama away and protects her too.
Instead of thanking her, Prem bitterly asks if Anupama plans to push him away again now.
Digvijay loses his patience and scolds Prem for speaking blindly. He reminds Prem that Anupama literally saved his life. According to Digvijay, Rahi’s sincere fasting and prayers brought Anupama there at the right moment.
Anupama gets hurt by Prem’s cold behavior but silently watches Prem and Rahi together and continues praying for their happiness.
Later, Prem formally invites Anupama to attend the opening of his café.
Back at the Kothari house, Gautam taunts Rahi while Vasundhara accuses her of becoming too influenced by Anupama. Rahi asks what she can do to earn their trust completely.
Vasundhara shocks everyone by asking Rahi to transfer the café ownership to Prem’s name.
Prem casually says ownership does not matter to him because his real goal is something else. He openly admits that he invited Anupama because he wants her to witness how successful he becomes.
Khyati warns Rahi that Prem’s hatred will eventually destroy everything. She also blames Shruti for widening the misunderstanding between Rahi and Anupama.
Meanwhile, Hasmuk and Digvijay return home together. Digvijay lightens the mood by bringing paan milkshakes for everyone. Anupama remembers Anuj emotionally during the family moment.
Digvijay calls Banku to join their café success celebration, but Banku feels nervous because of Pakhi and Leela.
Paritosh asks Anupama whether she will attend Prem’s café inauguration despite the tension. Kinjal says they will definitely attend because Rahi personally invited them, but they will never back down from competition.
Digvijay supports Kinjal’s confidence.
Anupama finally says that since Prem invited her himself, she will definitely attend the inauguration.
The Shah family then learns that Digvijay was once a Kabaddi player.
The episode ends.
Review
This episode balanced emotional tension and family drama effectively. The electric shock sequence finally gave Anupama a heroic moment after several emotionally draining episodes. Ironically, even after saving Prem’s life, she still receives bitterness instead of gratitude, which perfectly reflects the current emotional distance between them.
Rahi’s insecurity and anger are slowly becoming repetitive, but the writers cleverly showed that her pain is also rooted in fear and confusion rather than pure hatred. Kinjal defending Anupama during the temple argument added emotional weight to the episode.
Digvijay’s calm support system role is becoming stronger with every episode, and his presence is visibly affecting the Shah family dynamics.
The upcoming café rivalry now feels emotionally personal instead of just business competition.
