Mangal Lakshmi 18th May 2026 Written Update: Aarav’s Cruel Haldi Trap Exposed as Ishana Learns the Horrifying Truth
The episode starts with Kusum supervising the preparations for Aarav and Ishana’s Haldi ceremony. Gayatri assures her that everything is under control and asks her not to stress. Kusum finally calms down and continues helping with the arrangements.
Meanwhile, Mangal emotionally looks at Ishana and tells Shubhi that Ishana was once a cheerful and lively girl, but Aarav has slowly destroyed her happiness and confidence. Shubhi promises Mangal that today they will expose Aarav’s real face in front of Ishana once and for all.
Mangal gives Shubhi a spy camera hidden inside a necklace and asks her to wear it carefully so Aarav does not suspect anything. Shubhi agrees and leaves to continue their secret plan.
Soon, Jairaj arrives at the Saxena house. Adit welcomes him warmly and says he invited him for an important business discussion. Jairaj feels the timing is strange because of the Haldi ceremony but follows Adit anyway.
However, Adit shocks Jairaj by directly confronting him about Mangal. He asks Jairaj if he is secretly in love with his wife. Jairaj gets furious and questions Adit’s thinking. Adit says he noticed how concerned Jairaj was for Mangal at the hospital and suspects there is more to their relationship.
Unknowingly, Mangal and Kusum overhear the entire conversation.
Jairaj then calmly reveals that he is indeed in love — but not with Mangal. He explains that the woman he loves is admitted to the same hospital where Mangal was treated. He says he only checked on Mangal casually.
To convince Adit further, Jairaj harshly insults Mangal in front of him and calls her illiterate and foolish. He even sarcastically suggests that if Adit wants to connect him with someone’s wife, he should mention Sowmya instead.
Jairaj warns Adit not to cross his limits again and walks away, though he notices Mangal overhearing everything.
Kusum immediately scolds Adit for doubting Mangal’s character yet again. She tells him that even if he failed as a husband, he should at least become a responsible father now.
Later, Mangal confronts Jairaj for insulting her publicly. Jairaj apologizes and explains that he only said those hurtful things to stop Adit’s suspicions from growing further.
Elsewhere, Shubhi flirts with Aarav and tells him he looks handsome in his sherwani. Aarav openly admits that he actually wants to marry Shubhi instead of Ishana. Shubhi cleverly continues playing along and reminds him that he still has to marry Ishana because she is officially his bride.
Aarav shockingly reveals his real intention — he is marrying Ishana only to take revenge on Mangal. Once his revenge is complete, he plans to leave Ishana.
Just then, Sowmya catches Aarav hugging Shubhi and questions him angrily. Aarav turns the tables and insults Sowmya instead. He reminds her how she trapped Adit despite him already being married with children. Humiliated, Sowmya is left speechless while Aarav walks away arrogantly.
Afterwards, Sowmya questions Shubhi about her closeness with Aarav. Shubhi cleverly lies and says she only wants to destroy Mangal emotionally by stealing Aarav away from Ishana, just like Sowmya once snatched Adit from Mangal.
Sowmya warns Shubhi to stay careful around Mangal because she is smarter than she appears. Shubhi silently agrees while continuing her hidden mission.
Meanwhile, Mangal feels hopeful because Aarav’s recorded confession can finally expose him before Ishana’s life gets ruined forever.
Soon, Ishana walks into Aarav’s room and catches him drinking alcohol during their Haldi ceremony. She questions his behavior, but Aarav becomes furious and accuses her of speaking exactly like Mangal.
In a horrifying moment, Aarav smashes the beer bottle, mixes the sharp glass pieces into the Haldi paste, and cruelly forces Ishana to put her hand inside it as punishment before storming away.
Ishana cries in pain as her hand gets badly injured.
Mangal arrives at the right moment and is shocked seeing Ishana bleeding. She immediately treats her wounds and finally reveals the complete truth about Aarav.
Mangal tells Ishana that Aarav never loved her and only wants revenge against Mangal. Ishana initially refuses to believe her and asks Mangal to leave the room.
Mangal refuses to stay silent this time. She shows Ishana the hidden camera footage where Aarav openly admits he is marrying Ishana only to hurt Mangal.
Completely shattered, Ishana asks whether Shubhi is genuinely supporting Aarav. Mangal explains that Shubhi was only pretending in order to expose Aarav’s truth.
The reality finally breaks Ishana emotionally. She realizes how horribly Aarav manipulated her and decides to confront him directly.
The episode ends with Ishana heartbroken and furious after learning the man she trusted was only using her for revenge.
