Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 5th July 2026 Written Update: Armaan Pushes Abhira Away Despite His Recovery

Today’s episode begins with the Poddar family celebrating Armaan’s steady recovery. Everyone is relieved to see him making progress, while Abhira feels overjoyed watching him slowly regain his strength. However, Myra continues to distance herself from Aryan and Disha, refusing to interact with them.

Meanwhile, Sanjay confidently assures his client, Mallik, that they will win the upcoming court case. Curious about Armaan, Mallik asks if he has started speaking properly. Sanjay replies that Armaan barely speaks and still needs time to recover completely.

Mallik then asks whether Abhira is handling Mr. and Mrs. Associates.

Sanjay reveals that Abhira is completely occupied with Armaan and hardly gets any time for work. Although Mallik praises Abhira as an excellent lawyer, he remarks that after Armaan, only Sanjay currently has a strong reputation in court. He also expresses sympathy for Armaan’s condition.

Back at home, Abhira continues taking care of Armaan.

Armaan suddenly says he is hungry.

Abhira reminds him that he finished his meal only an hour ago but happily notices that his appetite has returned, considering it another positive sign in his recovery.

She leaves to bring him more food.

While Abhira is away, Armaan quietly locks the room from inside.

Abhira returns and repeatedly asks him to open the door. She becomes anxious, fearing something has happened to him.

At that moment, Vidya reveals that Armaan has hired a personal nurse to look after him.

Abhira is stunned.

She feels deeply hurt that Armaan trusts a stranger more than the woman who has devoted herself to his recovery.

Vidya asks Abhira not to misunderstand him, but Abhira admits that Armaan’s decision has hurt both her confidence and her self-respect.

Determined to speak to him, Abhira enters the room and immediately asks the nurse to leave.

Elsewhere, Krish tells Tanya about his upcoming court hearing.

Tanya reminds him that they are also supposed to meet their divorce lawyer.

Krish loses his temper and says he has spent the last month trying to save their marriage while Tanya remains stubborn.

Tanya calmly replies that if Krish can stand by his decision, then she can stand by hers too. She firmly declares that the divorce will happen.

An angry Krish walks away.

Back in Armaan’s room, Abhira insists that he doesn’t need anyone else because she is there to take care of him.

Armaan quietly tells her that she deserves a break.

Abhira refuses to accept his reasoning and says the only place she wants to be is beside him.

Meanwhile, Sanjay searches frantically for an important case file and lashes out at his assistant.

Elsewhere, Abhira looks for the newspaper.

Manisha tells her that she has already sent it to Armaan.

Relieved, Abhira smiles.

Soon, Manisha, Kajal, Kaveri, and Manoj sincerely apologize to Abhira for everything that happened in the past.

Abhira forgives them wholeheartedly.

Vidya then asks Armaan to forgive the family as well.

Armaan and Myra are both shocked by the request.

Abhira gently reminds Armaan that despite their mistakes, the family stood by them during their most difficult days.

However, Armaan refuses to forgive the Poddars and firmly declares that he can never forget what happened.

Later, Abhira notices Disha working in the kitchen.

She ignores her completely.

Although Disha tries to help, Abhira chooses not to respond.

That night, while Abhira falls asleep after another exhausting day of caring for him, Armaan quietly watches her.

Feeling guilty, he believes that his illness has trapped Abhira and taken away her freedom.

Convinced that his love has become a burden for her, Armaan silently decides to set her free.

The next morning, Abhira excitedly prepares a small exercise to help Armaan recover further.

She asks him to write the word “bicycle.”

Instead, Armaan insists that he wants to learn how to write Abhira’s name first.

Before the lesson can begin, Myra and Mukti arrive with a message from the school principal, asking Abhira to visit immediately.

Abhira hesitates because she doesn’t want to leave Armaan alone.

The episode ends.

Episode Review

The episode beautifully portrays Armaan’s emotional struggle as he slowly recovers physically while battling guilt internally. His decision to hire a nurse and distance himself from Abhira is heartbreaking because it stems from love rather than anger. Abhira’s unwavering dedication once again proves why she remains the emotional backbone of the story. Krish and Tanya’s marital conflict adds another layer of drama, while Armaan’s refusal to forgive the Poddars hints that old wounds are still far from healing. The emotional ending leaves viewers eager to see whether Abhira can break through Armaan’s self-sacrificing mindset.

Episode Rating: 4.5/5

4.5/5 stars. The episode delivers strong emotional storytelling with heartfelt performances from Abhira and Armaan. The recovery track feels realistic, and Armaan’s painful decision to push Abhira away adds depth to the narrative, making it one of the more emotionally engaging episodes of the week.

Precap

Abhira discovers that Armaan has asked the Poddars to send her away from the house. When she demands an explanation, Armaan says he wants her to breathe freely and live her own life. Abhira argues that he will soon become independent, but Armaan insists she wasn’t born just to care for him. Hurt by his words, Abhira says she will leave him alone, leaving Armaan stunned.
