Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 5th July 2026 Written Update: Karan Refuses to Accept Tulsi as Gautam Plans Her Return
Today’s episode begins with Tulsi, still disguised as a worker, quietly observing life inside Shantiniketan. She learns that Karan has taken complete responsibility for Garima and the younger generation of the family.
During a family gathering, Karan notices Rounak using his phone and immediately scolds him. He reminds everyone that mobile phones are not allowed during family time.
Karan checks Rounak’s phone.
Just then, Gautam jokingly calls Karan a “Hitler” because of his strict rules. He says he feels sorry for Karan’s children, who have to live under such discipline.
Ignoring the taunt, Karan questions Rounak about an unknown phone number saved in his mobile.
Rounak explains that it belongs to one of his friends.
Not satisfied, Karan immediately calls the number himself to verify the truth.
Watching his behavior, Nandini asks why he is interrogating the children.
Karan calmly replies that protecting his family is his responsibility.
Gautam once again mocks Karan for not trusting his own children.
Karan hits back by saying that at least his children will never betray the family like Gautam’s son, who sold part of their ancestral property.
He further remarks that his children will never become like “that woman,” indirectly referring to Tulsi.
Seeing the argument getting worse, Damini pulls Gautam away.
Karan then sends all the children to their rooms.
Afterward, Nandini informs Karan that Baa will soon be released from jail and wishes to return to Shantiniketan.
Karan immediately rejects the idea.
He firmly declares that Tulsi is no longer his mother and that she will never be allowed to enter the house again.
While saying this, Karan unknowingly looks toward Tulsi, who is quietly cleaning the table in disguise.
Tulsi silently picks up the utensils and returns to the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Maharaj notices that the mysterious woman has accidentally left something behind.
Elsewhere, Niyati expresses regret over Gautam’s behavior during the previous night’s argument.
Damini overhears part of the conversation and assumes Niyati is criticizing her and Gautam.
She immediately confronts her.
Niyati denies the accusation and explains that she was speaking to a friend.
Damini refuses to believe her and accuses Niyati of constantly gossiping about them.
The argument quickly escalates.
Niyati points out that playing loud music late at night disturbs everyone, especially the children.
Damini sarcastically says Niyati is simply jealous of their success.
The argument turns personal when Damini brings up Rio, claiming she doesn’t care what happened in Niyati’s life.
Deeply hurt, Niyati asks Nandini whether she is truly a bad mother.
Nandini comforts her and says Damini spoke out of anger.
She gently reminds Damini not to justify herself before others.
Later, Karan notices Samira helping Rounak prepare a presentation.
Impressed by their dedication, Karan joins them and starts guiding both children.
He encourages them to work hard, follow family values, and always stand up against anyone who speaks against their principles.
While explaining the importance of culture and traditions, Karan almost mentions Tulsi but stops himself before completing the sentence.
Just then, someone calls him away to check on Garima.
On the other side, Gautam tells Damini to ignore Niyati’s comments.
Damini insists that Niyati was insulting them.
Gautam dismisses the issue, saying such people don’t matter to them.
Meanwhile, Nakul approaches Gautam with an important concern.
He reminds Gautam that the Virani ancestral property belongs to the family and shouldn’t slip out of their hands.
Gautam agrees.
He says that as a true Virani heir, he must protect his rights before it’s too late.
He believes that if Tulsi were present today, she would never have allowed the family property to be divided like this.
Damini advises Nakul to think practically and put his own interests first.
Later, Karan speaks to Ritik over the phone and asks him to come home.
After ending the call, Karan enters his room and notices Garima’s mobile phone lying on the table.
He smiles proudly, believing Garima is sincerely following his strict rules.
Karan reflects that he wants to become a better parent because his own mother failed him.
He believes discipline is the only way to protect his children from making mistakes.
Elsewhere, Tulsi notices a young man harassing a girl.
Without hesitation, she steps forward to help.
However, to Tulsi’s surprise, the girl defends the boy instead of accepting her help, leaving Tulsi confused.
The episode ends.
Episode Review
The episode continues highlighting the widening emotional distance between Karan and Tulsi. Karan’s strict parenting reflects the deep scars he still carries, while Tulsi silently witnessing his hatred adds emotional weight to the narrative. Gautam’s growing interest in reclaiming the Virani legacy introduces a fresh conflict, and Tulsi’s final attempt to help a stranger shows that her compassionate nature remains unchanged despite everything she has endured.
Episode Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.2/5)
4.2/5 stars. The episode focuses more on emotional conflicts than major twists. Karan’s unresolved anger toward Tulsi remains the strongest aspect, while the property dispute and Tulsi’s silent presence continue building anticipation for her eventual return.
