Mahadev and Sons 13th July 2026 Written Update: Dheeraj Takes Vidya’s Side Against Mahadev
The episode begins with Ketan trying several times to speak to Mahadev, but Mahadev remains lost in his own thoughts. Before Ketan can gather the courage to say anything, Mahadev assumes he has no objections to Mogra’s recent decisions. Ketan calmly replies that he has no issue with Mogra but has something important to discuss.
Ketan requests Mahadev to stop treating him like a dependent family member and instead pay him a proper salary for the work he does at the mill. Mahadev is stunned by the unexpected demand and reacts angrily. Before the conversation can continue, Mahadev receives a phone call from Mogra. She informs him that Vidya has gone looking for a job with the encouragement of Narmada and Rajji. Furious after hearing this, Mahadev immediately tells Ketan that they are returning home.
Meanwhile, Vidya returns disappointed after another unsuccessful job interview. Her repeated failures leave her emotionally shattered. Sensing her pain, Rajji quietly signals Dheeraj to encourage her.
Dheeraj reminds Vidya of the advice she once gave him when he had failed an important examination. He tells her not to lose hope because setbacks are temporary and success comes to those who keep trying. Narmada and Rajji also stand beside Vidya, assuring her that she will soon regain both her career and self-respect.
Just then, Mahadev calls everyone into the living room.
Without wasting any time, Mahadev questions Vidya about her job search. He asks whether she has deliberately decided to destroy her own dignity. As he angrily walks toward her, he suddenly stumbles. Although the family rushes forward to help him, Mahadev refuses everyone’s support and insists that he is capable of standing on his own.
He then demands to know whether Vidya got the job.
Vidya reminds him that he already knows about her interview, but Mahadev insists on hearing the answer directly from her.
Vidya reveals that she was rejected because the employer was uncomfortable hiring the wife of Mahadev. She bitterly remarks that the interviewer seemed to share Mahadev’s outdated mindset, leaving everyone silent.
Mahadev immediately orders Vidya to stop searching for work, insisting there is no need for her to earn. Vidya refuses to change her decision, saying she will continue trying.
His anger only grows stronger. Mahadev criticizes Vidya for defying him and then turns his frustration toward Ketan for asking for a salary instead of accepting household expenses.
His harsh words deeply hurt Ketan and Narmada, while Mogra secretly enjoys watching the growing conflict.
Unable to remain silent, Vidya intervenes. She asks Mahadev to stop insulting their children and reminds him that Ketan has always stood beside him and supported his business. Instead of appreciating Ketan’s loyalty, Mahadev cruelly remarks that Ketan works with him only because no one else would ever employ him.
The humiliating statement shocks the entire family.
Seeing Ketan’s pain, Narmada quietly walks over to him and holds his hands, silently assuring him that she stands with him.
Mahadev then begins listing all the sacrifices he has made for his family, complaining that no one values his efforts anymore.
Vidya gently tells him that everyone loves and respects him, but his anger has stopped him from seeing the truth. She says the family has always acknowledged his sacrifices.
Vidya then makes a bold announcement. She declares that she will continue searching for a job because she wants to rebuild her own identity and regain the self-respect she has lost over the years.
Mahadev loses his temper completely. He warns Vidya that only Narmada and Rajji will support her in this decision because no one else in the family will stand by her.
To everyone’s surprise, Dheeraj steps forward and openly declares that he supports his mother.
His unexpected stand leaves Mahadev speechless. Vidya becomes emotional, Rajji and Narmada smile proudly, while Mogra is visibly unhappy with the family’s growing support for Vidya.
Unable to tolerate the situation any longer, Mahadev warns Vidya that her decision will ultimately destroy the unity of the family. After issuing the warning, he storms out, leaving behind a stunned and emotional household.
