Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 19th July 2026 Written Update: Gautam Agrees to Save Rounak, But at a Heavy Price
The episode begins with Gautam laying down a strict condition before Nandini. He says he will take up Rounak’s case only if Karan personally comes to him and asks for help. Nandini, Damini, and Gayatri insist that it is impossible, but Gautam refuses to change his stand.
Left with no choice, Karan swallows his pride and approaches Gautam for help. Gautam isn’t satisfied with a simple request and asks Karan to plead with him properly. Karan finally requests Gautam to save his son, leaving everyone shocked by his change in attitude.
Gautam reminds Karan that legal services come at a price. Karan immediately agrees to pay his fees. Samira criticizes Gautam for lacking humanity, but Gautam points out that everyone is now witnessing Karan’s arrogance being replaced by helplessness.
Karan brings his cheque book and even offers Gautam a blank cheque. Gautam, however, names his fee—₹4.5 lakh per month for twelve months, totaling ₹54 lakh. He also demands twelve post-dated cheques. Determined to save Rounak, Karan agrees without hesitation.
Meanwhile, Vaishnavi and Nakul discuss Rounak’s arrest. Vaishnavi finds it difficult to believe that Rounak could be involved in a ₹3 crore scam. She urges Nakul to convince Gautam to help Karan.
Nakul reminds her how badly the family has treated her and questions why she still cares about them. Vaishnavi replies that humanity should come before personal grievances. She says Rounak deserves justice if he is innocent and believes Gautam is the only lawyer capable of saving him.
Later, Gautam meets Rounak in jail.
Rounak is shocked to see him and initially asks him to leave. Gautam firmly tells him to stop creating drama because he is now his lawyer. He reveals that Karan personally came to seek his help and even paid his hefty legal fees.
Rounak is stunned after seeing the signed cheque. He asks Gautam if he is confident about winning the case. Gautam calmly replies that he is a professional lawyer and immediately begins preparing the defense. Since time is limited, he questions Rounak about the entire case.
Rounak insists that someone is framing him and shares every detail he knows about the people involved in the conspiracy.
Outside, Karan and Nandini anxiously wait for updates. Nandini tries to reassure Karan that Gautam will handle everything, but Karan blames her for forcing him to approach Gautam in the first place.
Soon, Gautam returns and tells Karan that his son reminds him a lot of his father. When Karan demands answers, Gautam reminds him about advocate-client privilege and refuses to disclose every detail.
However, he does reveal one important fact—Rounak appears to be innocent. Gautam warns Karan and Nandini to stay alert because Premchand, Karan’s business rival, may be behind the conspiracy.
Later, Karan breaks down emotionally while standing before Parth’s photograph. Feeling completely helpless, he admits that he misses Parth deeply and wishes he were alive to support the family. He says he feels handicapped without him and is terrified of losing Rounak too.
Seeing him shattered, Sobha consoles Karan and asks him to eat something before he falls sick. Karan refuses, saying the pain in his heart is too overwhelming. Sobha comforts him like a sister and encourages him to stay positive, assuring him that Gautam will bring Rounak home safely.
The episode ends.
