Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 21st July 2026 Written Update: Abhira Faces Sanjay’s Challenge While Myra and Mukti’s Competition Begins
Today’s episode begins on a positive note as Myra tells Mukti that they should prove to Armaan and Abhira that they are mature enough to handle competition. She says that no matter who wins the scholarship, neither of them will feel jealous or upset. Mukti happily agrees with her, leaving Armaan and Abhira impressed. Watching the girls behave so sensibly, the couple smiles with relief. Armaan jokes that they have become such good parents that they should write a book on parenting. As the cheerful conversation comes to an end, he reminds Abhira that she has an important first day as the Managing Director and insists that she should get proper rest.
Abhira, however, has a different plan. She tries to get romantic with Armaan before going to sleep, but Armaan gently refuses and keeps reminding her that she needs to be fresh for her first day at work. His practical attitude disappoints Abhira for a moment, and she acts upset. Realizing that she feels ignored, Armaan quickly lightens the mood and manages to cheer her up with his playful nature.
Meanwhile, at the Poddar house, Manisha and Kajal continue taking extra care of Disha. They lovingly feed her and encourage her to eat more for the baby’s health. Disha, however, struggles to finish the food and silently looks at Aryan for help. She even signals him to rescue her by taking her to the doctor immediately. Unfortunately, Aryan completely misunderstands her gestures and reminds her that her doctor’s appointment is scheduled for the following day.
Kajal then gives Disha saffron water, believing it will help the baby become intelligent. Aryan jokingly questions Kajal, asking why she never followed the same advice during Krish’s pregnancy. Kajal laughs and admits that Disha should not repeat the mistakes she made in the past. As Disha begins feeling nauseous, Manisha explains that vomiting is completely normal during pregnancy and calls motherhood one of the most beautiful experiences in a woman’s life. Seeing Disha uncomfortable, Aryan decides to take her out for some fresh air.
Elsewhere, Abhira prepares herself for her first official day as the Managing Director but cannot hide her nervousness. Suresh comes to serve her respectfully, but Abhira immediately asks him to hand over the tray instead, showing that she is still uncomfortable with people treating her differently. Armaan notices her hesitation and quietly takes her aside. He gives her a few practical lessons on how a leader should behave confidently and maintain authority in the office. Abhira listens carefully and understands that she needs to project confidence if she wants others to respect her position.
Back at home, Myra and Mukti discover that they have chosen the same topic for their scholarship project. The situation almost turns into another argument until Kaveri steps in with a creative suggestion. She advises both girls to work on the same topic and present it in their own unique styles. This way, everyone will pay equal attention to both presentations, and the competition will remain fair. Myra and Mukti immediately love the idea and agree to follow Kaveri’s advice.
Aryan becomes curious and asks everyone who they think will win the scholarship competition. Vidya confidently says that while she does not know much about Mukti’s educational background, Myra has received the best guidance and education, making her the stronger contestant. Unfortunately, both girls overhear Vidya’s comment. Instead of feeling discouraged, Mukti cleverly tells Myra that the real pressure now rests on her shoulders because everyone expects her to win. Mukti points out that she has nothing to lose and can perform freely without carrying anyone’s expectations.
At the office, Abhira faces her first major challenge. She asks Sanjay to hand over Bajaj’s file, but Sanjay deliberately pretends that he cannot remember where it is. His intention is clearly to embarrass Abhira in front of everyone and make her feel incapable of handling her new responsibilities.
Watching everything from a distance, Armaan becomes restless. Krish asks him to step in and help Abhira, but Armaan refuses. He explains that if he interferes now, everyone will assume Abhira is only the Managing Director on paper while he is the one making the real decisions. He believes Abhira must fight her own battles and establish her authority independently. His faith proves correct as Abhira remains calm, deals with Sanjay confidently, and successfully handles the situation without needing anyone’s support.
At the same time, a mysterious woman arrives hoping to meet Abhira. However, the security guard stops her before she can enter, leaving viewers wondering about her identity and the reason behind her visit.
Later, after work, Abhira and Armaan discuss Sanjay’s behaviour and how she managed to tackle him. They soon shift the conversation to Myra and Mukti, wondering whether the girls will enjoy the gifts they have planned for each other. Excited by the surprise, Myra and Mukti eagerly gather to exchange and open their gift boxes. Before they do so, Abhira and Armaan ask both girls to open their gifts separately, building curiosity about what lies inside each box.
