Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 22nd July 2026 Written Update: Abhira Faces Sanjay’s New Challenge While Myra and Mukti’s Bond Grows Stronger
Today’s episode begins with Myra and Mukti eagerly opening the gift boxes they received from Armaan and Abhira. Inspired by the thoughtful gifts, both girls complete their thesis projects with great enthusiasm. Excited to receive feedback, they immediately ask Armaan and Abhira to review their work.
As expected, a friendly competition begins between the two. Myra insists that her thesis should be checked first, while Mukti demands the same for her own project. Smiling at their excitement, Abhira comes up with a fair solution. She suggests that the entire family should participate in evaluating the projects. Half of the family members will review Myra’s thesis, while the remaining members will assess Mukti’s work so that both girls receive equal feedback and can improve before the final presentation.
Later, Abhira privately tells Armaan that she finds Myra’s thesis slightly more impressive. Armaan, however, disagrees and says Mukti’s work is equally outstanding. He believes Mukti has a strong chance of winning the competition.
Abhira continues supporting Myra, while Armaan predicts Mukti’s victory. Although they enjoy their friendly debate, Armaan hopes the competition does not damage the girls’ relationship. Jokingly, he says that if Myra and Mukti start fighting after the results, he will simply lock both of them inside a room until they become friends again.
As Abhira prepares to carefully review both thesis projects, Armaan interrupts and asks her to spend some time with him instead of focusing only on work.
Abhira playfully reminds him that they were together throughout the office hours. Armaan immediately complains that all she did at the office was scold him. Amused by his childish complaint, Abhira responds with a romantic gesture, bringing a smile back to his face.
Meanwhile, Vidya asks Myra to drink a glass of milk before continuing her work. She casually asks whether Myra is also making a 3D model for her thesis, just like Mukti.
Myra immediately refuses to discuss Mukti’s project. Although Vidya claims she is only trying to help, Myra firmly says she wants to win the competition honestly without gaining any unfair advantage.
A little later, Myra enters her room and unexpectedly notices Mukti’s thesis lying open. She realizes she could easily look through it, but chooses not to.
Instead, Myra praises Mukti’s hard work and proudly says that she is happy to see Mukti creating such an impressive 3D model. Her honesty reflects the healthy spirit of their competition.
Elsewhere, Armaan and Abhira arrive at the office. Soon after, Rajni requests to meet Abhira urgently.
During the conversation, Abhira learns that Sanjay has fired both Rajni and Suresh from the law firm.
Rajni emotionally explains that she is a single mother who often works overtime whenever she has to take leave. Despite her dedication, Sanjay dismissed her because of her frequent absences.
Sanjay justifies his decision by claiming that both Rajni and Suresh had begun taking the firm for granted due to their repeated leaves. According to him, the firm’s interests must always come before personal circumstances.
Back at home, Myra struggles to complete the remaining portions of her thesis. Instead of encouraging her, Vidya once again compares Myra with Mukti, unintentionally increasing the pressure on her.
Seeing Myra becoming stressed, Mukti decides to help her friend instead of treating her like a rival.
Feeling overwhelmed, Myra admits that she desperately wants to make both Armaan and Abhira proud through her performance.
Meanwhile, Abhira continues handling one challenge after another at the office.
Sanjay presents a list containing the names of several long-serving employees whom he wants to dismiss because he believes they have become careless and unproductive.
The board members surprisingly support Sanjay’s proposal after he convinces them that replacing experienced employees with younger staff would benefit the firm.
Abhira strongly opposes the decision. She argues that loyal employees are valuable assets and that removing them would be a major loss for the organization. Unfortunately, her arguments fail to change the board’s opinion.
Ignoring her concerns, Sanjay hands over the dismissal list and orders Abhira herself to terminate the employees.
The responsibility deeply troubles Abhira. She worries that elderly employees who lose their jobs at this stage of life may never find employment again. Remembering Madhav’s own struggles, she fears they will also feel unwanted and helpless.
At the same time, Mukti sends Armaan a message informing him about Myra’s emotional condition.
Instead of immediately informing Abhira, Armaan decides to personally speak with both girls first and understand the situation before worrying her further.
Elsewhere, Disha desperately asks Abhira to rescue her from Manisha, who keeps forcing her to drink a traditional homemade preparation despite her constant nausea during pregnancy.
Understanding Disha’s discomfort, Abhira and Armaan quickly come up with a clever plan.
The couple pretends to have a heated argument, successfully distracting Manisha. As everyone rushes to witness their fake fight, Disha quietly escapes the unwanted attention and finally gets some relief.
The episode ends with Abhira balancing personal responsibilities and professional challenges while another difficult decision awaits her at the office.

Myra’s refusal to look at Mukti’s thesis despite having the opportunity reflected strong values, while Mukti’s willingness to help her competitor showed true friendship. The light-hearted fake argument to save Disha provided a refreshing moment amid the serious drama. The precap hints that Abhira will soon face her toughest test yet as she is forced to choose between family and career.
