Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 22nd July 2026 Written Update: Tulsi Outsmarts Karan by Bringing Subhash to Shantiniketan
Today’s episode begins with Karan informing his children that his close friend, Subhash Gupta, is arriving in India for an important business visit. He tells them that he has already arranged for Subhash to stay at a hotel instead of Shantiniketan.
Samira immediately questions his decision and suggests that Subhash should stay with the family at home. Rounak also feels the same but points out that Subhash might notice the tense atmosphere inside the house.
Karan explains that this is exactly why he has booked a hotel room. He does not want his business associate to witness the ongoing family conflicts, fearing it could create a negative impression.
Meanwhile, Karan and Sahil spend some time watching a football match together. During their conversation, Samira learns from Sahil that Devika will be arriving at the airport at 10 p.m.
Excited, Samira decides to go and receive her.
However, Karan immediately refuses permission and firmly tells Samira that she is not allowed to go to the airport.
Watching the exchange, Sahil advises Karan not to become overly strict with his children. He warns that excessive control could eventually make them rebel against him.
Sahil reminds Karan that he himself once believed parents should become friends with their children rather than rule them with fear.
Karan sadly replies that his thinking has changed after experiencing repeated emotional setbacks. He believes Sahil understands the pain of losing someone like Parth and therefore should understand why he has become more rigid.
Sahil gently urges Karan not to punish his children for his own emotional wounds.
Karan, however, insists that his children must always follow his decisions without questioning them.
Just then, Gautam joins the conversation.
He jokingly remarks that Karan behaves exactly like a dictator and asks Sahil to convince him to change his attitude.
Already irritated, Karan refuses to accept any advice from Gautam.
Within moments, another heated argument erupts between the two brothers.
Gautam asks Sahil to come and spend time with his side of the family during the wedding celebrations.
Sahil politely refuses, explaining that his old bond with Karan prevents him from leaving him alone.
Gautam encourages Sahil to forget the past and move on, but Karan immediately accuses Gautam of being two-faced.
The accusation angers Gautam even more. Frustrated, he tells Sahil to do whatever he wants before walking away.
Karan then asks Sahil to remain seated with him.
Elsewhere in the house, Tulsi takes complete charge of the wedding preparations. She personally finalizes the special menu and instructs the Maharaj about every detail.
Watching her confidently give instructions, Gayatri reminds Tulsi that the cook actually works under Karan and that Karan’s family has no intention of attending the wedding.
Tulsi smiles confidently and says she knows Karan and his children will eventually become part of the celebrations.
She even compares her mission to the classic family film Hum Saath Saath Hain, saying she is determined to reunite everyone under one roof once again.
Gayatri and Sobha exchange confused glances.
Playfully teasing her, Gayatri calls Tulsi an “oldie.”
Tulsi laughs and replies that she still feels as young and energetic as Gayatri herself.
Amused by the conversation, Gayatri and Sobha leave to practice their dance performance.
Soon afterwards, Samira and Rounak notice them dancing and begin making fun of the family’s enthusiasm.
At the dining table, Tulsi overhears Samira referring to the entire family as a circus.
Instead of getting angry, Tulsi calmly challenges Samira.
She confidently declares that Samira herself will attend the wedding celebrations before the event is over.
Samira refuses to believe it.
Tulsi proudly reminds her that experience often defeats youthful confidence. She accepts Samira’s challenge, and the two agree on conditions to prove who is right.
Privately, Samira and Rounak become determined to defeat Tulsi. They even dream of forcing her to leave the house if they win.
Just then, Karan arrives and asks what everyone is discussing. He also notices Garima’s absence.
Samira casually explains that Garima has gone to visit one of her friends.
Meanwhile, Subhash Gupta reaches the hotel where Karan had arranged his stay.
To his surprise, he learns that his reservation no longer exists.
At that exact moment, Tulsi arrives and warmly greets him.
She politely invites Subhash to stay at Shantiniketan instead.
Confused, Subhash reminds Tulsi that Karan had informed him the house was under renovation.
Tulsi immediately exposes the lie by calmly telling him that no such renovation is taking place.
Elsewhere, Karan, Samira, and Rounak continue trying to ignore Gautam’s wedding celebrations.
Nakul notices their behaviour and becomes disappointed, but Karan simply tells everyone to enjoy the function without worrying about them.
Inside the wedding preparations, Vaishnavi asks Sobha where Tulsi has gone.
Moments later, Tulsi returns home.
She casually tells everyone that she had gone to receive a special guest.
Just then, Subhash enters Shantiniketan.
Seeing him standing at the entrance completely shocks Karan.
Samira quickly asks Karan whether this is the same Subhash he had been talking about earlier.
Unable to avoid the situation, Karan welcomes his friend.
Subhash immediately questions why Karan lied to him about the house being under renovation.
Before Karan can answer, Tulsi reveals that she accidentally overheard their earlier conversation and decided to personally bring Subhash home.
Subhash smiles and says that Tulsi has already explained everything to him.
He assures Karan that he is perfectly comfortable staying with the family and even offers to help whenever needed.
Tulsi firmly announces that Subhash will stay at Shantiniketan from now on.
She then asks Karan to smile and properly introduce his friend to the rest of the family.
After the introductions, Gautam quietly asks Tulsi what exactly she is trying to achieve.
Tulsi simply replies that hosting a respected businessman is an honour for the family and asks everyone to continue preparing for the wedding.
Left with no choice, Karan privately tells his children that Tulsi has outsmarted them once again. Since Subhash is staying in the house, they must behave like a happy and united family until he leaves.
