Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 2nd August 2026 Written Update: Mukti Returns Home as Amrita’s Kidnapping Plan Fails

The episode begins with Abhira making a heartbreaking decision. She tells Amrita to take the Poddar house if that is what she wants, but asks her to return Mukti safely.

Amrita agrees and demands that Abhira bring the property papers first. Abhira immediately turns to Kaveri, who decides to arrange the documents without hesitation.

Amid the family crisis, Sanjay reminds Abhira about an important business meeting. Abhira is shocked that he is still thinking about work while Mukti has been kidnapped.

Sanjay calmly replies that since the family is already on the verge of losing their house, they should at least save the law firm. Krish also convinces Abhira to attend the meeting while he and Arman collect the property papers.

Meanwhile, Madhav suggests informing the police.

However, Abhira, Arman, and Aryan oppose the idea, fearing that Amrita might harm Mukti if she realizes the police are involved. Manisha also supports their decision, putting Mukti’s safety above everything else.

Although emotionally torn, Abhira realizes the business meeting cannot be ignored and decides to attend it. At the same time, Myra continues worrying about Mukti’s safety.

Elsewhere, Madhav quietly packs his belongings.

Vidya looks around the Poddar house and recalls Rohit and Arman’s childhood memories. She becomes emotional and tells Madhav that a house has no value without children. For her, Mukti’s safety matters far more than any property.

Despite everything happening around her, Abhira reaches the investors’ meeting.

The investors are impressed when they learn that her daughter has been kidnapped, yet she continues delivering a confident and professional presentation.

Abhira successfully secures the business deal, proving once again that she can balance personal tragedy with professional responsibility.

Soon after, Arman informs her that the house papers are ready.

Meanwhile, Mukti desperately tries to escape from Amrita’s captivity but fails.

Back at the Poddar house, the family prepares to leave their beloved home forever.

Manisha worries about Disha’s pregnancy and wonders how she will manage after losing the house.

Manoj promises to find another place where Disha can stay comfortably.

Disha emotionally says she wishes she could take the entire family to her house, but Damyanti’s nature makes that impossible.

Aryan suggests she stay at Mamta’s house instead.

Disha refuses, saying she will never leave the family behind.

Her loyalty deeply impresses Aryan.

Later, Arman and Abhira finally arrive to exchange the house papers for Mukti.

Amrita demands to see the property documents first.

Abhira insists on seeing Mukti before handing anything over.

As Kajal and Krish remember the countless memories attached to the Poddar house, emotions run high.

Using the opportunity, Abhira and Arman cleverly distract Amrita.

Amrita grabs the property papers and arrogantly tells them to leave. She even asks Abhira to forget Mukti forever.

However, everything changes within moments.

Mukti manages to escape from Amrita’s trap.

At the same time, the police arrive and arrest Amrita, bringing her kidnapping plan to an end.

The Poddars finally reunite with Mukti.

Manisha hugs her with relief, while Mukti tearfully asks whether the family had truly decided to sacrifice their home just to save her.

Kaveri lovingly replies that Mukti is their granddaughter, and they are willing to sacrifice not just one house but many for her happiness.

Mukti breaks down emotionally after hearing those words.

Later, Sanjay approaches Abhira and surprisingly asks her to remove him from the law firm.

He admits that he has failed both as a human being and as a lawyer.

However, Abhira refuses to fire him.

She acknowledges his experience and tells him that despite his mistakes, he is still family.

Sanjay asks her to reconsider, but Abhira stands by her decision.

Finally, Myra cheerfully reminds everyone that since the bags are already packed, they should simply go on a family trip instead.

Arman loves the idea, and the entire Poddar family smiles again after their emotional ordeal.

The episode ends.

Precap: The Poddars celebrate Myra’s birthday. She introduces Kabir as her special guest and announces that she wants to marry him. Arman says this is the time to focus on a career, not marriage. Myra argues that, like Abhira, she can fulfil her dreams after marriage. Abhira calls her immature, setting the stage for a major family conflict.

Review:

The episode beautifully balances suspense, emotions, and family values. The kidnapping track reaches a satisfying conclusion, with the Poddars proving that family will always come before wealth. Abhira once again emerges as the emotional and practical backbone of the family by saving both the firm’s future and Mukti. Kaveri’s heartfelt declaration that they can sacrifice countless houses for Mukti is the emotional highlight of the episode. Sanjay’s guilt hints at a possible redemption arc, while the light-hearted ending provides a welcome breather before the next major storyline begins. The precap introduces an interesting generational conflict through Myra’s unexpected marriage announcement, promising fresh drama ahead.

Rating: 4.7/5
