Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 8th August 2026 Written Update: Armaan Rushes to Jaipur, Abhira Faces a New Challenge
The episode begins with Armaan feeling restless about Myra’s Jaipur trip. Vidya tries to calm him down, reminding him that Myra has only travelled to Jaipur and is not too far away. However, Armaan finds it difficult to control his protective instincts. He repeatedly worries about whether Myra has reached safely and whether she is taking care of herself.
Meanwhile, Myra reaches the Jaipur event and notices a message from Armaan. She becomes confused about whether she should enjoy the festival or call him back immediately. Before she can decide, she unexpectedly bumps into Kabir.
Both are surprised to see each other at the event.
Myra asks Kabir what he is doing there, and he reveals that he has come to participate in the photography event. Their meeting becomes even more interesting when they discover that they have been paired together for a social-awareness project.
Although neither expected to work with the other, they have no choice but to cooperate.
Back home, Armaan calls Myra to check on her.
He asks whether she has eaten properly and how the event is going. His questions continue as he asks about her surroundings and the people accompanying her.
Armaan then asks Myra to give him the phone number of her project partner. He explains that if her phone becomes unreachable, he should at least have another way of contacting someone with her.
Myra becomes nervous because her partner is Kabir.
Instead of answering, she quickly ends the call.
Armaan is hurt by her reaction.
He recalls how Myra once used to talk to him constantly and wonders when she became so independent that she now cuts his calls short.
Abhira notices Armaan’s emotional state and reminds him that children eventually grow up. She also notices Mukti nearby and asks about her new badminton coach.
Mukti assures Abhira that she can handle the situation herself.
Armaan jokingly points out that even Mukti seems to be indirectly telling Abhira that she has grown up.
Abhira smiles and admits that both Myra and Mukti are becoming independent.
The moment carries a bittersweet emotion for the parents, who are slowly realizing that their daughters will not always need them in the same way.
Meanwhile, the Damanis continue dealing with the consequences of the factory controversy.
Samar watches the latest news about his company on television and becomes tense. Raghu and Nandani ask him not to take the media reports too seriously because news channels keep repeating stories until the next major development appears.
Nandani especially worries that the constant stress could affect Samar’s health.
Raghu and Samar eventually decide that they need to take action instead of simply waiting for the situation to improve.
They decide to approach Shastri and ask him to speak in their favour so that they can begin rebuilding the company’s damaged reputation.
Elsewhere, Kaveri discusses Abhira’s career plans with her.
She asks what will happen to the family law firm if Abhira actually becomes a judge.
Abhira admits that becoming a judge was originally Armaan’s dream for her. He believes she has the ability to fight for justice and make a difference.
However, Kaveri asks Abhira to think beyond Armaan’s wishes.
She reminds her that becoming a judge could completely change her life and may affect her peace, happiness and even her position within the family firm.
Kaveri’s words leave Abhira thoughtful.
She knows that becoming a judge could be an important achievement, but she also understands that it would require major sacrifices.
Meanwhile, Mukti calls Abhira.
At the same time, Armaan starts packing his belongings.
Abhira immediately notices what he is doing and asks where he is planning to go.
Armaan casually claims that he simply wants to visit Jaipur.
Abhira quickly understands the real reason.
He wants to check on Myra.
Abhira tells him there is no need to panic because Myra has already reached the hotel safely.
Armaan complains that Myra didn’t even show him the hotel properly.
Abhira gently explains that Myra becomes overwhelmed because Armaan bombards her with too many questions.
She tells him that worrying about Myra is completely natural, but he must learn to give her some breathing space.
Abhira reminds him that Myra is growing up and needs to learn how to handle situations independently.
Armaan finally listens to her.
Elsewhere, Vidya discusses Armaan’s behaviour with Manoj, Madhav and Manisha.
She says Armaan has become excessively worried about Myra.
Manoj agrees that worrying about one’s children is normal, but he feels Armaan has taken it too far.
Vidya jokingly complains that Armaan has inherited her habit of worrying and has now surpassed her.
The conversation turns emotional when Manisha admits that she misses her children.
Madhav, Vidya and Manoj comfort her and remind her that children may move away physically, but they never truly leave their parents’ hearts.
Later that night, Armaan remains unable to sleep.
He repeatedly checks the time while thinking about Myra.
Abhira notices his restlessness and tries to convince him to get some sleep.
Meanwhile, Jaipur brings an unexpected challenge for Myra and Kabir.
Kabir captures a photograph, while Myra notices him doing so.
Both continue trying to avoid each other despite being forced to work together.
They eventually sit down to plan their social-awareness project.
Myra suggests that Kabir should take photographs while she writes commentary explaining the stories behind them.
Kabir immediately rejects the idea.
He believes they should approach the project differently.
Their disagreement soon turns into another argument, showing that working together will not be easy.
However, they eventually focus on their assignment and decide to capture the “heart and soul” of Jaipur through their project.
Back home, Armaan suddenly receives disturbing information about suspicious activities taking place at the hotel where Myra is staying.
His protective instincts immediately return.
Before he can understand what is happening, he receives a message from Myra.
Instead of feeling relieved, Armaan becomes even more anxious.
Something about the situation doesn’t feel right to him.
The episode ends with Armaan deeply worried about his daughter while an unexpected problem appears to be developing in Jaipur.
Episode Ends
Precap:
Abhira comes across a media report portraying her and Armaan as a fraudulent couple rather than a successful “power couple.” She becomes suspicious and decides to speak to Armaan about it. However, Mukti suddenly informs her that Armaan is missing and his phone is unreachable. Nobody knows where he has gone, leaving Abhira completely shocked.
Review:
This episode does a good job of shifting the focus from courtroom rivalry to the emotional struggles of parenthood. Armaan’s constant worry over Myra is understandable, but Abhira’s reminder that children need space as they grow up gives the track a mature emotional angle. Myra and Kabir’s unexpected pairing also adds an interesting layer, especially with their contrasting personalities and constant arguments.
The Damanis’ attempt to repair their damaged reputation keeps the business conflict alive, while Kaveri’s questions force Abhira to seriously consider whether becoming a judge is truly what she wants. The strongest part of the episode, however, comes toward the end. The suspicious hotel news followed by Armaan’s disappearance creates a genuine cliffhanger and sets up a potentially tense track for the next episode.
