Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 9th August 2026 Written Update: Abhira Faces Fake News, Armaan Rushes to Jaipur as Myra and Kabir Grow Closer
The episode begins with Mukti and Kaveri enjoying a game of badminton. Mukti jokingly complains that she always gets exhausted whenever she plays with Kaveri. Their light-hearted moment soon gives way to a serious family discussion when Manisha reveals that Sanjay is planning another marriage for Krish.
Sanjay confidently tells Kaveri that he has found a suitable girl and believes her family is also appropriate for Krish. He makes it clear that he does not want Krish to remain stuck in his feelings for Tanya. According to Sanjay, Krish needs to forget Tanya and move forward with his life.
However, Abhira strongly objects to Sanjay’s decision. She questions how he can think about arranging another marriage without considering what Krish actually wants. She points out that forcing another girl into a marriage when Krish is still emotionally affected by Tanya could ruin another person’s life.
Abhira asks Sanjay to speak to Tanya and understand the situation before taking such a major decision.

Krish Tries to Hide His Feelings
Meanwhile, Krish comes across Tanya’s photograph.
He quietly looks at it, unaware that Manoj is watching him.
Manoj confronts Krish and asks whether he is really over Tanya.
Krish insists that he has moved on and does not want to discuss the past anymore. However, his reaction suggests that his feelings may not have disappeared completely.
At the same time, Sanjay continues preparing for Krish’s prospective marriage.
He informs the family that the girl’s family will soon arrive to meet Krish.
Abhira once again questions whether they know about Krish’s past with Tanya.
Sanjay says that they are aware of certain things, but he still wants the meeting to happen.
Madhav disagrees with the timing and asks Sanjay to cancel the plan because the entire family is already dealing with several problems.
Raghu Opposes the Fake News
Elsewhere, Nandani tells Raghu that since they are in Delhi, they should meet Kabir while they are nearby.
Raghu likes the idea and agrees.
However, he soon learns that Samar has been spreading fake news about Armaan and the Poddar family.
Samar remains determined to make the Poddars pay for everything.
Raghu strongly objects to his approach.
He tells Samar that they may have differences with the Poddars, but spreading false information is crossing a line. He refuses to stoop so low just to damage their reputation.
Nandani becomes worried that Raghu may cancel their plan to meet Kabir.

This episode successfully balances the family drama with the younger generation’s storyline. The biggest development is the growing tension between the Poddars and Damanis, especially after the fake news campaign against Abhira and Armaan. Abhira’s decision to face the media instead of hiding is a strong moment because it shows how much more confident she has become.
Krish’s marriage track also adds an emotional layer. Sanjay may believe that he is helping Krish move on, but Abhira correctly points out that forcing someone into another relationship without resolving their past feelings could hurt everyone involved.
The Jaipur track is lighter and more refreshing. Myra and Kabir’s playful arguments are slowly turning into a comfortable friendship, while Armaan’s decision to rush to Jaipur shows that letting go of his daughter is proving harder than he expected. The contrast between Myra’s growing independence and Armaan’s protective instincts is likely to become an important emotional thread.
The Mukti track is also intriguing because Abhira immediately notices her changed behaviour. There seems to be something Mukti is not telling her, and that could soon become another source of tension.
