Anupama 13th August 2026 Written Update: Anupama and Rahi Face a Tough Test as the Family Battle Turns Personal
The episode begins with the organisers explaining another important rule of the competition. They announce that if the person who is supposed to follow an order refuses to do the task, the team that gave the order will lose points. The family members immediately start discussing their preferred partners.
Rahi points out that the organizers have already decided everything. Leela, however, wishes to be paired with Anupama. Shruti becomes worried because she feels the situation could completely ruin her plans.
The organizers announce the pairs: Vasundhara and Leela, Anupama and Rahi, Prem and Digvijay, Kinjal and Shruti, Ishani and Mahi, and Prerna and Khyati.
They initially plan to use a coin toss to decide who will give orders and who will have to follow them.
Prem immediately makes it clear that he will not blindly follow Digvijay’s instructions. Rahi, however, says that she is ready to do whatever is necessary for her team. Anupama also agrees to participate wholeheartedly.
Gautam tells Shruti that her plan has backfired because everyone is now being forced to work together. Shruti refuses to give up and hints that there is still plenty of drama left.
The Shah House Turns Into a Reality Show
Meanwhile, Paritosh and Pakhi become excited after realizing that cameras have been installed throughout the house. They start getting ready and imagine that their every move could now be captured on camera.
They are almost treating the situation like a reality show.
Anupama, however, is not in a playful mood.
She becomes restless while thinking about the different pairings and the challenges ahead. She feels that the competition has once again forced the two families to fight against each other, even though they are currently under the same roof.
Anupama prays that everyone remains safe and that the situation does not turn into another major family conflict.
The Rules Create Another Battle
The organizers begin explaining the task in detail.
They give an example involving Anupama and Rahi. If Rahi receives the opportunity to give an order and Anupama refuses to follow it, Rahi’s team will lose the point.
Banku further clarifies the consequences, making everyone understand that following orders is just as important as giving them.
Meeta and Paritosh are relieved that they are not participating in the task.
Hasmuk asks everyone to treat the challenge as a game rather than turning it into another war between the families.
Paritosh and Pakhi, meanwhile, are excited to watch Prem and Digvijay compete. They are equally curious to see what happens when Leela and Vasundhara are forced to give orders to each other.
The coin-toss idea is eventually dropped after Paritosh suggests that whoever gets the first opportunity to give an order should lead the round.
Banku encourages Ishani, while Kinjal and Khyati discuss how difficult the competition is likely to become.
Anupama Finds a Way to Handle Rahi
Anupama notices a broken photo frame and becomes emotional.
Ansh tries to comfort her and tells her not to search for answers about the future in old photographs. Anupama says that she understands that everyone has a destiny.
Ishani reminds Anupama that she needs to concentrate on the competition instead of becoming emotional. She points out that Anupama may eventually have to give Rahi an order if she gets the chance.
Ansh tells Ishani that Anupama is mature enough to handle the situation.
Later, Digvijay asks Anupama whether she understood what Ansh and Ishani were trying to tell her.
Anupama admits that she is worried because neither Rahi nor Prem is likely to blindly follow their orders.
Digvijay advises her to use her intelligence instead of worrying. He tells Anupama to give Rahi an order that she simply cannot refuse.
Anupama understands his strategy.
Leela and Vasundhara Refuse to Back Down
Meanwhile, Leela decides that she will not obey Vasundhara’s instructions during their round.
Instead, she plans to give Vasundhara an order herself.
Vasundhara, however, remains confident. She tells Meeta not to worry because she will handle Leela when their turn comes.
Elsewhere, Shruti warns Prem not to allow his ego to cost them points.
Prem tells Shruti to be careful with Kinjal because she is soft-hearted. He then asks Shruti to concentrate on her own performance rather than worrying about others.
Shruti Loses the First Round
The organizers become excited about the new format and joke that their cooking competition has now turned into a full-fledged reality show.
Paritosh immediately demands a hamper for suggesting the idea. The organizers assure him that they will consider his demand.
Soon, Shruti gets the first opportunity to give an order.
She decides to target Kinjal.
As the buzzer rings, Shruti orders Kinjal not to help Anupama with the cooking.
Kinjal refuses.
Shruti insists that Kinjal has to follow the instructions because it is part of the game. Kinjal, however, tells Shruti that simply giving an order is not enough. She needs to convince her.
Kinjal refuses to stop helping Anupama.
As a result, Prem’s team loses the round.
Gautam immediately tells Shruti that losing the first task is a bad sign. He worries that Rahi could help Anupama win in the upcoming rounds.
Shruti remains confident.
She tells Gautam that Rahi loves Prem and will eventually play according to his wishes.
Prem Begins Doubting Shruti
Prem becomes frustrated after losing the first round and regrets having Shruti on his team.
Rahi tries to calm him down.
Prem tells Rahi to focus on the competition and not follow Anupama’s orders blindly. He wants her to make sure their team wins.
Rahi assures him that she understands.
Meanwhile, Leela and Vasundhara remain stubborn. Neither woman is willing to accept the other’s authority, setting up another explosive round between them.
The episode ends with the competition becoming increasingly personal as family relationships begin influencing every decision.

The upcoming task could either bring the Shahs and Kotharis closer or create an even bigger divide between them.
During the challenge, Anupama notices that Rahi’s dupatta has caught fire and immediately helps her.
Paritosh then claims that Anupama deliberately gave an order that forced Rahi to follow her.
Prem becomes furious with Rahi and accuses her of deliberately helping Anupama win. Rahi and Anupama are left shocked by Prem’s accusation.
Review
The reality-show twist is finally bringing some fresh energy to the family drama. The interesting part is that the competition is no longer simply about cooking or winning points—the contestants now have to control their egos and relationships while giving and following orders.
Kinjal refusing Shruti’s order was a particularly good moment because it immediately showed that the task cannot be won simply by giving commands. Prem’s growing frustration with Shruti and his increasing dependence on Rahi could also become important in the coming rounds.
The precap looks even more promising. Anupama helping Rahi when her dupatta catches fire could be completely innocent, but Prem’s reaction shows how quickly the competition can turn into another misunderstanding between the families. Rahi being accused of helping Anupama could put her relationship with Prem under serious pressure.
