Anupama 16th August 2026 Written Update: Anupama Dreams of Her Own House, While the Lie Detector Test Exposes New Tensions
Today’s episode begins with Anupama excitedly sharing her dream with Khyati. She tells her that she wants to build a house of her own. Khyati praises Anupama’s courage and feels that her journey will inspire many people.
Anupama, however, calls her dream a little selfish. She explains that she has spent years moving from one place to another and adjusting herself according to everyone else. Now, in this huge world, she wants one small place that truly belongs to her.
She wants the authority to make decisions in her own home and live life on her own terms.
Khyati assures Anupama that she will definitely achieve her dream.
Anupama then notices that Khyati is hungry and decides to cook Maggi for them.
Rahi Gets An Unexpected Reminder
Meanwhile, Ishani, Prerna and Kinjal discuss the ongoing competition. Ishani admits that although both families keep fighting, they are still having fun together.
Kinjal misses Pari, Ansh and Pranshi. Prerna and Ishani then talk to her about Pari’s pregnancy.
Kinjal shows them Pari’s little dress and remembers how Anupama had stitched it. Prerna says that she also wants such a cute little dress.
Ishani teasingly asks Prerna to give them some good news.
Kinjal becomes worried about Pari and asks Prerna and Ishani to talk to her. She does not want Pari to become anxious about the baby’s weight the way Kinjal herself once did.
Ishani assures her that they will speak to Pari.
Rahi joins them, and Kinjal asks her to sit with them. Rahi likes the little dress.
Ishani casually says that after Prerna, Rahi can take the dress for her baby.
Rahi is left shocked.
Ishani immediately apologises, realising that her comment may have hurt Rahi. Kinjal tells her that she did not say anything wrong and reminds everyone that Anupama prays for both Rahi and Prerna.
The girls decide to forget the tension and enjoy themselves together.
Anupama watches them happily and feels pleased to see everyone bonding.
Prem Finally Eats Anupama’s Sweet
Meanwhile, Prem notices the sweet Anupama has prepared.
The sight brings back memories of his past with her. Anupama notices Prem looking at the sweet and quietly hides from his sight.
She hopes that he will eat it.
Prem remembers Anupama once giving him a large sweet.
After a moment of hesitation, Prem finally eats it.
Anupama is surprised to see him accept the sweet.
Prem becomes emotional while tasting the food prepared by his mother. He then notices Anupama watching him.
Anupama simply advises him not to eat too many sweets so late at night.
The small moment touches Digvijay, who is happy to see Anupama and Prem slowly reconnecting despite their differences.
Later, Anupama, the Shahs and the Kotharis come together to pray.
However, the peaceful atmosphere is interrupted when Gautam receives a shocking phone call.
Anupama Reveals Her Big Dream
Vasundhara thanks the Shahs for supporting the veneration.
Gautam then approaches Anupama and asks whether she is planning to purchase land to build her own house.
Anupama is surprised.
Leela explains that Anupama has only been thinking about it so far.
Gautam reveals that the builder is his friend and has told him about Anupama’s visit. He offers to speak to him and try to get her a discount.
Anupama confidently tells everyone that she intends to win the competition and use the prize money to build her own home.
Vasundhara immediately questions her confidence.
She asks Anupama whether she is so certain that she will win.
Shruti also asks how Anupama can be so sure.
Anupama calmly replies that anyone who reaches the finale has the right to expect victory. Her confidence leaves everyone watching her closely.
Gautam then reminds Anupama that she may not get the loan.
Digvijay immediately tells Gautam not to worry about Anupama and supports her dream.
The Lie Detector Test Begins
The organizers finally begin the much-awaited lie detector test.
Prem faces the questions first.
His answers earn points, increasing the pressure on the other contestants.
Anupama is then asked whether she is participating in the competition only to defeat Prem.
Anupama confidently answers that she is not playing to defeat Prem.
The lie detector confirms her answer, and Anupama earns a point.
Prem, however, refuses to believe her completely.
The tension rises when Rahi is called for questioning.
She is asked whose defeat she wants more between Prem and Anupama.
Anupama immediately becomes worried because she knows Rahi’s answer could affect both families and potentially expose her true feelings.
Digvijay remains calm and reassures Anupama that Rahi will handle the situation.
He reminds her that Rahi is her daughter and will know what to do.
The episode ends with everyone waiting anxiously for Rahi’s answer and the result of the lie detector test.

Review
This episode beautifully brings Anupama’s personal dream to the centre of the story. Her desire for a small house of her own feels much more meaningful because it represents independence after years of sacrificing her wishes for others.
Prem eating Anupama’s sweet is another small but emotionally important moment. He may still be angry with her, but his reaction shows that the bond between mother and son has not disappeared completely.
The lie detector track also promises some interesting revelations, especially with Rahi being questioned about Prem and Anupama. However, the biggest twist comes with Vasundhara’s offer. Anupama has always fought for her self-respect, so accepting land in exchange for deliberately losing the trophy could put her principles to the ultimate test.
